An early Victorian silver card case, Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1846, the case of rectangular scroll form engraved centrally with a Lakeside vignette within a blossoming floral border surrounded by engine turned detailing, the reverse monogrammed, hinged cover, 8.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: Surface scratching throughout, hinge rocks slightly, does not sit perfectly, see the updated images now attached to this lot. case feels a little 'compressed'. a little worn in places and some denting.
MILITARY INTEREST: A George V silver cigarette case, Cohen & Charles, Chester 1912, engine turned detail throughout and monogrammed 'GE', the interior engraved with the Royal Norfolk Regiment crest and 'Aug 1914 to Dec 1916', above a George V cypher and 'Jan 1917 to June 1919', further engraved 'July 19th 1922' on the opposite cover, the reverse engraved with a list documenting the owners Military postings throughout WWI and beyond: 'Shorncliffe Aug 1914 to Aug 1913, Albert Sept & Oct 1915, Ypres Salient Nov 1915 to July 1916, Somme Aug to Oct 1916, Bethune Nov & Dec 1916, Amiens Jan to July 1917, Hazelbrouk Aug to Oct 1917, St Pol.
