Thompson, Whitehaven, an impressive 18th century North country crossbanded walnut cased 8-day longcase clock, the hood with broken swan-neck pediment over an arched trunk door flanked by canted corinthium topped pillars in the Gillows manner, the brass dial with a 'working' beam engine piston engraved to the arch, the dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, raised on ogee moulded bracket feet. 237 cm high overall. Condition Report Reglued cornice segments uneven, splits to veneers on side of hood, many minor splits and blemishes, large split to front of box-base, lacquer loss in XII, ticking. A Dunhill gold-plated 'Baby Sylph' lighter and key chain, c.1953, gold-plated with engine turned decoration, marked to the base 'Dunhill Made in England', with a bead style bale to the filler screw and key chain fitting, together with a matching gold plated Dunhill 'Sylph' lighter (2) CONDITION REPORT: Baby Sylph - Wear to plating on raised edge and other places; chain very worn. Sylph - flint cap and arm completely worn; base screw burred. Discolouration to extinguisher cap on the larger lighter, wear to the bottom edge.
A wooden Kit Built Patrol Torpedo Boat. Basically built from a KEIL KRAFT Kit but modified to represent a Vosper Boat. Powered by a Taycol Supermarine 12V Marine Engine. The Engine is in Excellent working order. The Lot includes the original Kit Box and parts of the original Kit not used in the modified Boat.
