BR(W) brass cabside numberplate 8478 ex Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT built by Yorkshire Engine Company in 1952. Allocated to Barry, Cardiff East Dock and 88A Cardiff Cathays from where it was withdrawn in February 1963. Scrapped later the same year at Caerphilly works. In original condition as stored since 1965.
Worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE CO LEEDS No 1684 1931 ex Standard Gauge 0-4-0 T supplied new to Hall & Co Coulsdon Quarry Redhill, then to NCB Graigola fuel works Swansea, then to Kilmersdon Colliery Radstock and into preservation at Bleadon & Uphill station. Currently preserved on the Middleton railway awaiting restoration. Oval cast brass in lightly cleaned condition measuring 11.5in x 8in.
Original painting THE ENGINE AND THE IGUANA by Charles Hamilton Ellis. The painting depicts a train between Kingston and Spanish Town Jamaica hauled by 2-2-2 Projector. Oil on board, painting measures 13.5in x 9.5in and is framed. Attached to the rear is a signed certificate stating this is an original painting from the private collection of Ian Allan OBE FCIT and is signed by both Paul & David Allan.
