Formerly the property of Sir Elton John- 1991 Aston Martin Virage 2 door coupe, chassis number 50182, engine number 89/50182/, reg. no. A3 VHB. Powered by a 5340cc V8 engine and coupled to an automatic gear box, the Virage was a byword for speed, luxury and exclusivity. 426 Virages were produced between 1988 and 1995, ‘50182’ was ordered new by Sir Elton John and registered in the name of his company, William A Bong Ltd. The car, very much to Sir Elton's personal requirements was finished in a Rolls Royce colour (Seychelles Blue), with a blue piped cream leather interior and a bespoke Sony sound system was also fitted at a cost of nearly £5,000. All meaning the total cost new was £129,950. After Sir Elton sold the car in 1997, it passed between private owners, with the car passing to its current keeper following the death of his father. In recent years the car has seen limited use, with the last MOT expiring on 21st October 2020. The estimated mileage is around 14,000 miles only, however the car has a fault which has caused the mileage to jump up by itself (see recent MOT's). During this period of its life, time has caught up with the car and currently it does not run, although turns over freely. It now needs an enthusiastic new owner to give it the time and attention such a fabulous car deserves. Supplied with V5, two keys and an extensive history file. (Subject to 12% buyers premium inclusive of VAT).

We have been informed that it was fully restored for the late owner by Schmidt-Gemert in Holland in recent years and is attractively finished in gold with buttoned black leather upholstery. It still appears to be in excellent condition and is supplied with V5 document. Sadly at present no other documents have been found relating to this car but should they be discovered they will be sent on to the purchaser. We are selling this car on behalf of the executors of the late Mr Paul Westcott, a classic car enthusiast who regularly used his collection. (Subject to 12% buyers premium inclusive of VAT). From the garage who undertook the restoration work... I give you an idea of the work we did on the car.I bought the 265 in th UK somewhere arround 2012 put it aside as it arrived in one of our warehouses. In 2016 Paul contacted me as he heared about the exisitance of the car over a friend. We agreed on the sale of the car to Paul. When i got the car it was basicly in a very good and solid condition with only some really small rust issues at the rear wheel arches, and a small parking scratch.Biggest problem was the the clear coat was faded on the hood and the roof.Technically the car was very solid and good and just needed a good service as it was not on the road for several years. The mileage at 71.763 was very low on a car from this age, the former owner was an old disabled man.Regarding interior the Volvo was like new. As Paul wished a 265 in perfect condition we agreed on the small rust issues to be done combined with an complete paint job. Before that we did and very extensive technical service on the the car, changing all fluids, brakes, full engine service including valve adjustment, candles, air filter oil and filter, ingnition parts a candle wiring, new tyres, exhaust systeem. We had the airconditioning system updated and a new pump installed. So also the air conditioning is working perfect. After the piant job the car got a complete anti rust dinitrol treatment to protect it for rust in the future. After we finished all works we had the car professionally cleaned and polished. While essambling the 265 we replaced every single broken or damaged part so that is would be very near to perfect condition. As an extra we mounted the alloy rims that were an original accessoiry for the 1980 265GLESo after we finished the car was completely gone true as well technical as optical.Seen the mileage the car has now, Paul has only used it for a few hundred mileages. All works done were included in the sale price so i have no separate invoices mentioning all parts being changed and used, but everything neccessary to get the car in perfect condition was done.
