A small group of variously hallmarked silver items comprising a sauce boat with shaped rim, Viner's Ltd, Sheffield, date letter rubbed, a further example, E Hill, Birmingham 1945 (af), an engine turned decorated cigar piercer, SJ Rose & Son, Birmingham 1961 and a set of bean finial coffee spoons, Mappin & Webb, Sheffield 1937, combined approx 8.2ozt (9).
A George V hallmarked silver cigarette case of rounded rectangular form, engraved with initials and with engine turned decoration, Birmingham 1930, a hallmarked silver vesta case with engraved initials, an oval silver napkin ring, a silver preserve spoon with decorated bowl and a mother of pearl handled silver bookmark in the form of a trowel, combined approx 4.5ozt (5).
A large live steam 4" steam engine locomotive painted in black and green, (no boiler certificate), length 52cm. CONDITION REPORT: Surface particularly to the top with several areas of tarnish/pitting and some areas of flaking to the paint, a few major scratches to the sides with spare piece of hose.
BENTLEY 'S' SERIES (1955-1959); an original deluxe sales brochure for the later series models with the 8.0:1 compression ratio engine and optional power steering. Late 1957-1959. Textured green card cover with gold lettering and embossed Bentley logo to front, comb bound spine, 22 page sides printed on one side only with lovely colour pictures of the cars and interiors including the 4887cc engine, a list of leather colours, dimensions, etc. As the U.K. issue, the newly introduced, and very rare L.W.B model with division is also illustrated. An original factory photograph of the 'S' series is included. CONDITION REPORT: Very good condition, spine not cracked.
FIAT; 'Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino-Motori Per Imbarcazioni'. An extremely rare original sales brochure covering the circa 1912 Fiat range of sport and power boats with Italian text printed by Bertieri E Vanzetti, Milano. 20 pages triple stapled with textured card cover Fiat foldover edges to protect the pages. The boats covered include; Fiat X, Genio Civile Messina, Fiat-Gallinari nel Porto di Genova, Sciata alle Regate di Monaco-250H.P engine, Nel Porto di Braila, Lo Sciata in Belocita, Il Mimosa, Sul Lago Maggiore, Idroplano le Quatre (Fiat 250H.P hydroplane). There are also illustrations and descriptions for the engines, other mechanicals, transmissions, engine data and victories from 1902-1912. A superb item if you can speak and read Italian! CONDITION REPORT: This is in very good condition.
A boxed Mamod T.E.1 Traction Engine with filler funnel, steering extension, scuttle and spirit burner, with instruction sheet. CONDITION REPORT: All components in play worn condition with surface wear to painted decoration commensurate with age, box generally frayed but Mamod label remains relatively intact with minor marks etc.
A boxed Mamod Steam Roadster SA1 model, with steering rod, burner and two original leaflets, also a boxed Mamod M.M.2. stationary steam engine with original leaflet (box af), and a scratch built steam engine (3). CONDITION REPORT: Steam roadster worn with flaking to the paint, wear and discolouration, split to the rear. Wear and discolouration to the other two pieces.
