A 19th century French silver circular box and cover, the lid with a shoulder-length portrait miniature of a young lady above engine-turned sides and underside (4.5cm diameter) Sadly this portrait miniature is considerably faded and the circular frame around holding it with the “glass” over it is a little marked. The circular cover lifts off and is gilded inside as is the main body, the circular cover appears to be in generally good overall order. The circular base appears to be in good general overall condition with two Continental marks to the inner lip and engine turned decoration with a good overall finish.
An 18-carat yellow-gold cased open-faced pocket watch, the engraved dial with Roman numerals and the subsidiary seconds hand at the 6 o'clock position, engine-turned decoration to the back with a central circular vacant cartouche, together with an unmarked yellow-metal seal fob key mounted with an unengraved circular hardstone, and upon a gold-plated chain (boxed)There is a separate dust cover which is hallmarked 18 carat gold. There are two keys with this, a separate key and a yellow metal key on a chain. We have wound the watch up and it does appear to be ticking for 30 seconds. No discernible dents to the case, very “minor” scratches viewed under a loupe. Engine turned back (slightly worn around the edge) and small circular vacant cartouche. Case diameter approx. 42mm, gross weight approx. 67.8g.
A custom-built model of a steam boat 'Sirius', the decking lifting to reveal original boiler, funnel and mechanical parts etc., once working, now for complete restoration, 138cm long x 24cm (widest) It does notappear that the actual engine is present but there are two covers on the backand we have removed these and taken images. The vendor used to sail this with her father on the Serpentine in HydePark. This is for full restoration.
