1965 Ford Cortina Mk. I Transmission: manualMileage:3500The Cortina was Ford's mass-market compact car and sold extremely well. It was produced in five generations: the Mk. I through to the Mk. V, although officially the last one was called the Cortina 80. With variants of the Cortina reaching sales of over one million, each successive model proved more popular than its predecessor.  Such was its fame in the UK, that the BBC Two documentary series Arena once devoted an entire programme to the car and its enthusiasts. In response to the huge success of the Mini, Ford responded not with a small car but with a larger family offering which they could sell in large numbers.This example was registered new on 3rd September 1965 and has had just two owners from new. Acquired by the current vendor in 2006 who set about restoring the Cortina to fast road/track specification. During the restoration a Vulcan engineering 2100 pinto engine was fitted, coupled to a type 9 five-speed gearbox. The Cortina was also treated to a rack and pinion conversion, Ford Capri single leaf springs, a FR33 high lift Kent camshaft, new cambelt, new water pump and coil overs. Sitting proudly on Lotus Cortina 5.5J steel wheels, the bodyshell includes a well fitted roll cage and the interior includes a Lotus dashboard and clocks. Presented in blue and orange livery the Cortina looks superb and turns heads wherever it goes. A fun and rather quick example we are sure this example, in its fast road specification, will be huge amounts of fun for the new owner at a very modest outlay.

The W124 is considered to be the last of the ‘million mile Mercedes’. Most engines and running gear were carried over from the previous model, but there were quite a few improvements. Multi-link independent rear suspension was a great improvement, and the whole car felt like a much more modern driving experience. The W124 had advanced crash protection, a bodyshell structure that crumpled progressively for example, while active safety was advanced thanks to the adoption of anti-lock braking as standard in the all the cars, being progressively introduced across the range.Originally registered on 16th November 1989, this W124 estate presents very well in Smoke Silver, which is complemented by black fabric upholstery. The car has been exceptionally well cared for in recent years with over £8,000 in invoices from the well-known Mercedes-Benz specialist John Haynes. We are advised the M102 2.3 litre engine runs well and the automatic transmission operates smoothly and efficiently. 1989 BMW 635CSiTransmission: automaticMileage:86,000 Successor to the race proven E9 3.0CS/CSi, the BMW 6-series was introduced in August 1976. More forgiving than its predecessors, it utilised a modified version of the 5-series saloon platform equipped with all-round independent suspension and powerful disc brakes. A natural rival to the 928 and XJS, the four-seater 6-series proved more capacious than the Porsche and sportier than the Jaguar. Immediately recognisable thanks to its distinctive 'shark nose' frontal styling and thin pillared glasshouse it boasts real road presence. An impression backed up by the various versions of BMW's mighty M30, SOHC straight-six engine fitted throughout the range. Second only to the BMW Motorsport tuned M6 version, the 635CSi's 3430cc unit developed some 216bhp and 232lbft of torque propelling it from 0-60mph in 8.4 seconds and on to 135mph.Originally registered on 10th October 1989, this distinctive Zinnobar Red 635 CSi is in very good condition throughout with an equally impressive interior trim in black leather. Owned by the current vendor since 2011 this is clearly a highly cherished and much-loved example. The six-cylinder 3430cc engine runs well and the gearbox operates as it should. Performance on these handsome iconic BMW’s is adequate by any standard, however the beauty of this car lies within the styling. 2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage VolanteTransmission: manualMileage:11,389 The Renault 5 was launched onto the right hand drive UK market in the autumn of 1972, where, alongside the recently launched Fiat 127, it competed as an imported but more modern alternative to the Mini and Hillman Imp. The 5 borrowed mechanicals from the similarly popular Renault 4 using a longitudinally-mounted engine driving the front wheels. Engines were borrowed from the Renault 4 and larger Renault 8; there was a choice, at launch, between 782cc and 956cc according to price level. The 5TS and 5LS both with the 1,289cc engine from the Renault 12 was added from April 1974. As on the Renault 4, entry level Renault 5’s had their engine sizes increased to 845cc in 1976 and at the top of the range later models had the engine sizes expanded to 1,397cc. The Renault 5 went on to enjoy cult status when the turbo and rear engine Group B derived Maxi cars were introduced.This four-door left hand drive Renault 5 is in very good order throughout and shows a mere 11,389Km on the odometer, this is thought to be correct although not warranted. Having spent its life overseas the bodywork is very solid and the white paintwork is showing to be in good order. We are advised it runs and drives well; the UK registration has been applied for and is expected to be completed prior to auction. Once a common sight on roads throughout Europe these Renault 5’s are surely a future classic.

1955 Bentley R-Type by H.J. MullinerMileage:9,442 The R-Type is the second series of post-war Bentley motorcars and replaced the Mk. VI. Essentially a larger boot version of the Mk. VI. The R-type was a development of the Mk. VI Bentley with several mechanical improvements such as higher rear axle ratios. As with its predecessor, a standard body was available as well as coachbuilt versions by firms including H.J. Mulliner, Park Ward, Harold Radford, Freestone and Webb and others. Even by this date, there was little difference (other than the radiator grilles and the carburation) between the standard Bentley R-Type and the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, though Bentley was still the more popular sporting marque. Indeed, the vast majority of cars produced were Bentleys with some 2,500 units manufactured during the R-Type's run. During development, it was referred to as the Bentley Mk. VII; even the chassis cards for these cars describe them as Bentley VII's. The R-Type name, which is now usually applied, stems from chassis series RT.This delightful Bentley has been owned within the same family since 1985. The penultimate owner having passed away a couple of years ago, the family transferred ownership into their name. Always having been a much enjoyed and cared example, it was decided during lockdown to try and bring the car back up to a good standard in memory of their late father. Specialist mechanical repairs were carried out which included replacing the head gasket and ensuring the ‘one shot’ lubrication system works correctly. The interior was thoroughly cleaned, with the leather being treated and the wood refurbished. During our inspection, the car started immediately when requested and ran extremely well, the 4566cc engine sounded excellent. We are advised she drives well with no known faults. This stylish, aluminium bodied R-Type, with coachwork by H.J. 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Pro-DriveTransmission: manualMileage:72,600 The WRX (World Rally eXperimental) flat-four engine is turbocharged and develops around 235bhp in initial trim. Relatively modest by today’s standards but anything but in-period, and its lively engine is mated to a manual gearbox and a sophisticated four-wheel-drive system. A relatively lightweight car, it goes like stink and took the motoring world by storm. Rally win followed rally win - and the Brits wanted a piece of the action, importing both saloon and hatchback variants by the container load.  The second-generation cars, available from 2000, officially boasted between 261bhp and 276bhp depending on the model, enough to propel the 1,360kg Impreza to a top speed of over 150mph via a 0-62mph time of under five seconds.  Rallying legends such as Colin McRae and Richard Burns took the already potent Impreza STi and turned it into an iconic machine, the likes of which we will probably never see again. On a performance-per-pound basis they were extraordinarily cheap when they were new, and a series of upgrades and model changes that encouraged owners to change their cars more frequently than they might otherwise have done. Originally registered on 1st September 2007 this Impreza has been very well cared for. The silver coachwork is in very good order as is the black leather interior. The comprehensive history folder includes the certificate and invoice for the Prodrive Pack in 2007 when the car was only a month old. Also present in the history folder is every previous MoT certificate. A Cat 1 alarm system is fitted (with PIN) and this Subaru comes with the original handbooks and service book with 11 stamps, five of which are by Subaru main dealers. 2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante Transmission: automaticMileage:62600Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body. At the Geneva Motor Show in 1999, Aston Martin introduced the six litre Cosworth-designed and built V12 engine, developing 420bhp and accelerating from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed limited to 185mph. Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps and restyled the valances to give the car a more aggressive look.First registered on 10th March 2000, this DB7 Vantage Volante has only had two registered owners throughout its 22 year life. Indeed, unusually included in the car's history file, is the receipt to the last keeper for £49,000, who bought the car from HWM Aston Martin in Walton-on-Thames in Surrey. 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser Transmission: automaticMileage:60190The Toyota FJ Cruiser is a retro-styled mid-size SUV produced by Toyota since 2006. Introduced as a concept car at the January 2003 North American International Auto Show, the FJ Cruiser was approved for production after positive consumer response and debuted at the January 2005 North American International Auto Show in final production form. It features a short wheelbase, stocky frame, and grille-headlight arrangement much like the original FJ40. Other throwback design cues include a nearly vertical windshield with three windshield wipers for maximum surface area coverage. The FJ's body features rear opening access doors that give a unique look to the SUV. Special high-strength steel was used to give the vehicle side impact protection without the need for a door pillar. ”ŠThe interior of the FJ features many design elements focused on enhancing off-road practicality. All interior surfaces are covered with washable rubber materials to aid in fast cleanup after heavy outdoor use. The FJ also incorporates oversized controls to aid drivers with gloved hands. The three-gauge cluster (with compass, temperature, and inclinometer) as well as the 120 V rear outlet were carried over from the FJ Cruiser concept vehicle as options on the final production model. The Final Edition of the FJ Cruiser went on sale in Japan on 12 September 2017. 1998 MG FTransmission: manualMileage:60,470 The MGF was the first new model designed as an MG since the MGB that was produced from 1962 to 1980. It was initially designed by the Rover Group during the period it was owned by British Aerospace and was brought to market after the business had been sold to the German car manufacturer BMW. It was powered by a 1.8 Litre K-Series 16-valve engine, the basic having 118 bhp while the more powerful VVC (variable valve control) had 143 bhp. Steve Harper of MGA Developments produced the initial design concept in January 1991 having been inspired by the Jaguar XJR-15 and the Ferrari 250LM, before Rover's in house design team refined the concept under the leadership of Gerry McGovern. An interesting feature of the F was its Hydragas suspension, a system employing interconnected fluid and gas displacers which provided a surprisingly compliant ride but which could be tuned to provide excellent handling characteristics.This MGF was originally registered on 21st November 1998 and has clearly been well cared for. It was off the road from 2019 and has been recently recommissioned by the vendor. A good service history accompanies this MGF and it is thought the odometer reading of 60,470 is correct, although not warranted. Looking resplendent in the colour combination of green with black interior, this MGF is supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 7th August 2023 together with a hardtop. 2001 Bentley Arnage T Transmission: automaticMileage:97471The Arnage T laid claim to the title of world's fastest saloon in 2002, propelling the driver, in total luxury to a top speed of 170mph. Powered by a 6.75 litre twin turbo version of the Rolls-Royce, V8 engine, the nearly three ton car could accelerate from 0-60mph in just 5.5 seconds. The engine was treated to what Bentley described as 'the most thorough re-engineering of its life' producing 451bhp and 645lb/ft of torque. Other changes included the adoption of a 'drive-by-wire' throttle to go hand-in-glove with Bosch's Electronic Stability Program which replaced the Red Label's traction control, but what really gives this nearly three ton car its immense poise is a revised suspension that features 57% more roll stiffness than the Red Label. The car's basic structure is also 10% stiffer which means there are no creaks and squeaks of the sort that distinguished previous generations of Bentleys. Originally registered on 17th December 2001, this lovely Arnage T is finished in the desirable colour combination of Black Sapphire with Cotswold hide interior trim and contrasting white diamond pattern stitching with embroidered Bentley motifs on the headrests. We are informed the car boasts a comprehensive service history and the history file contains this along with many previous MoT test certificates. 1994 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Transmission: automaticMileage:62010Stuttgart supplied these grand-tourers with high levels of comfort including a fabric convertible top as well as a colour-matched and manually detachable hardtop that could be fitted over the stored fabric convertible roof. Other advancements included an electronically controlled damping and the famous hidden, automatically extending roll-over bar. These incredibly accomplished, five litre sportscars represent a truly advanced way to travel.Presented in blue with contrasting biscuit leather trim this two owner from new SL500 was first registered to its original owner on 11th May 1994. When the car was ordered, the vendor was invited to Stuttgart to view his particular SL in production. Supplied with the original book pack, including maintenance book, which has 11 main dealer stamps until 2007 and 42,726 miles. At this point a local garage, Eaton Square in Belgravia SW1 continued maintenance on a regular basis, the last being carried out in February. At this point the car was MoT'd and valeted. The car boasts the hardtop and wind guard and with just 62,010 miles, is a low mileage example of a two owner car. 1968 MG C Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:16321The MGC was the first 'high performance' version of the MGB. From early in the design stages of the MGB there was an intention to create high performance variants, using a range of Vee engines that did not make it to production. The MGC was much more than a tuned MGB, in fact it was a completely re-engineered car, but retained many visual connections to the MGB. On the outside the MGC was often mistaken for an MGB as the only visual difference was the heavily bulged bonnet with a transverse chrome strip that accentuated the bulges, and the standard use of 15” wheels instead of the 14” used on the MGB. Inside there were very few differences between the B and C, other than the 140mph speedometer and tachometer with a yellow and red banding, set against lower RPM than the MGB. One of just 1,403 home market supplied cars, this Mineral Blue example with overdrive gearbox was delivered to University Motors of Epsom in 1968 and then sold on to Mr. J. Edwards on 12th February of that year. Mr Edwards kept the car until the late 1980's, when it was purchased by a Mr. William Scholfield, who shared and enjoyed the car with his son until 2007. Reportedly only used on sunny days throughout Mr. Scholfield's ownership, it was however treated to running restoration work throughout the 1990's, with well regarded Oselli Engineering modifying the cylinder head for unleaded fuel and upgrading it to Stage 1 tune, along with upgrading the camshaft to aid with engine pickup. The bodywork was also repaired where required and resprayed by Falla Classics in Bournemouth in 1997. To aid in the drivability of the car, Oselli fitted a quick rack steering rack along with stiffer antiroll bar and telescopic dampers all round. A servo has also been fitted to aid braking. Amongst the many receipts in the car's history file are also included the car's original BMC 'Passport to Service' booklet which shows the service stamps for the first few years with University Motors, (and later receipts for more work carried out by them in the early 1980's), as well as a copy of the original green logbook. The vendor reports the car to run and drive extremely well and certainly presents very well and is a rare example of an MGC that has led a pampered life.Supplied with a UK V5C registration document, impressive history file, MoT test certificates dating back to the mid 1980s, owner's handbook and manual, along with a photographic record of its restoration, file of receipts and a current MoT test certificate valid until July 2023. 1958 Austin Healey 100-6 Transmission: manualMileage:34099Introduced for 1956, the Austin Healey 100/6 represented the most radical step forward in the development of the 'Big Healey'. Despite its initial success, sales of the original Austin Healey 100 had begun to decline by the mid 1950's and so the model was revamped as the 100/6 using the BMC 2.6 litre C-Series six-cylinder engine replacing the four-cylinder Austin Atlantic engine. This six-cylinder, pushrod engine produced 102bhp, twelve horsepower more than its predecessor, though the inevitable weight gain meant that there was little improvement in performance, the cars top speed remaining around 103mph. At the same time, the wheelbase was increased by two inches from 7' 6” to 7' 8”, which enabled the inclusion of two seats in the rear of the BN4 variant. Although stylistically very similar to the earlier model the 100/6 was nevertheless easily distinguishable by its 'crinkle' radiator grille and the bonnet top air intake. In 1957, an improved engine became available and this 117bhp unit was fitted to all the newly introduced BN6 two-seater roadsters. Top speed improved to 111mph and 1.7 seconds was cut from the 0-60mph time.One of only 118 right hand drive cars built for the home market, this rare two-seater 100/6 left the factory on 13th June 1958 for its destination, Marshalls Limited in Cambridge. Not to be confused with a standard 100/6, MSV 500 was rebuilt by leading Healey race preparers Denis Welch Motorsport in the mid 1980's with an aluminium body that had been custom made for Healey racer and collector Andrew Usher along with a period hardtop, as well as a mohair soft top hood, rare and extremely comfortable period style lightweight 100S Le Mans style seats and a Denis Welch Stage 3 fast road blueprinted engine that included; a lightened and balanced flywheel, gas flowed cylinder head, forged pistons, Denis Welch inlet and exhaust manifold, high flow aluminium radiator, fully baffled competition works style sump, competition clutch, side exhaust and 2” competition SU carburettors. Financial issues reportedly forced Mr. Usher to sell the car shortly after its rebuild to a relative of Denis Welch's who kept the car for the next 26 years, having it looked after throughout by Denis Welch. Given its specification, the car could easily be adapted to race with only a few safety items to be incorporated. Indeed, the engine is essentially already race ready, making this car eligible for a number of historic events both on road and track.Supplied with a V5 registration document, BMI Heritage Certificate, original chassis plate, file of receipts and a MoT test certificate valid until August 2023. 1965 MG B Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:87495The MGB was launched in May 1962 to replace the MGA and was introduced as a four-cylinder roadster with a coupé added in 1965. It was a relatively modern design at the time of its introduction, utilising a monocoque structure instead of the traditional 'body-on-frame' construction used on both the MGA and MG T-types. The lightweight design reduced manufacturing costs while adding to overall vehicle strength. Manual windows were standard and a comfortable driver's compartment offered plenty of legroom. The MGB's performance was considered brisk at the time of its introduction with a 0-60mph time of just over 11 seconds; this was aided by the relatively light weight of the car. Handling was one of the MGB's strong points. The three-bearing 1798cc, B-Series engine produced 95bhp at 5,400rpm with the engine upgraded in October 1964 to a five-bearing crankshaft to improve reliability. The MGB was one of the first cars to feature controlled crumple zones designed to protect the driver and passenger at a 30mph impact.This early, desirable, 'pull handle' restored MGB roadster with overdrive has been fully maintained until the car was taken off the road in 2005. Prior to going into hibernation this MG had substantial amounts of money spent on it. It received a restoration in 1988, when the engine was replaced with a genuine BMC 'Gold Seal' unit. In 2011 the car was recovered from the barn where it was being stored and sold as a sound restoration project. It went into storage until it was purchased again in 2017 and has spent the last five years undergoing a complete rebuild by an MG enthusiast. The engine has had the big end bearings replaced, new piston rings and the cylinder head overhauled. The gearbox was rebuilt by Hardy Engineering Transmissions Ltd. They also checked the overdrive unit and the rear differential. A new wiring loom was supplied and fitted and at the same time the polarity was changed from positive to negative earth. This lovely MGB roadster has been repainted in its original colour Tartan Red and has black leather interior. It is also supplied with a new hood and has a tonneau cover. In the history file are a large number of invoices going back to 1988, old MoT test certificates up to 2005, the V5 registration document, an old V5 and the Heritage Certificate. This represents an opportunity to purchase a car that will give the new owner good, reliable motoring in this popular marque.
