1963 Heinkel Trojan Transmission: automaticMileage:28534The cars were built in Croydon UK by Trojan to the design of the Heinkel Kabine and using the reliable Heinkel four-stroke 198 cc engine. The car was advertised as having a top speed of 56mph and achieving 95mph but probably not both at the same time! The design was inspired by the original Italian Isetta but is much lighter and the steering wheel is in a fixed position. This rare four-wheel version was built in 1963 and registered in April of that year (60 years ago) for export to Holland and was repatriated in 2015 by the previous owner on the grounds of 'significant historical interest'. It is registered with the DVLA as an Historic Vehicle so MoT and Tax (payment) exempt. The car was confirmed as genuine and original by the Heinkel Trojan Archive Trust in May 2016. Certificate provided. The body had an earlier restoration and the paintwork is still in good condition with a couple of small dents which are difficult to see in most lighting conditions. The plexiglass (acrylic) windows were replaced in May 2023 and as this is a pre-1964 model the quarterlights (and windscreen) are real glass.Continuous restoration and maintenance from 2015 of the mechanical side include replacement clutch, braking system including new wheel cylinders and copper pipework, wheel bearings, king pins, axle-crank bearings, rebuilt front shock-absorbers, engine mounts, five tyres, silencer and battery (2022).The interior was completely refurbished in 2022 using the original fittings and looks great in tartan, the wiring is in good condition and the exterior chrome-work is good but there is some minor pitting. The excellent Heinkel Trojan Club in the UK supplies reasonably priced new and used parts to keep the car on the road. You will also find a friendly welcome at the HTC and regional microcar events.Documentation includes Heinkel Trojan Trust Certificate, V5C registration document, original owner's manual, illustrated Trojan Parts List, Workshop Manual, Heinkel Trojan Club's Members Handbook (130p), back issues of HTC Review and numerous receipts. Also included are the registration mark 'TRO 376', a fitted Pro-Tec rain cover, the stainless-steel rear luggage rack fitted without drilling additional holes, an original style scissor-jack and a spare wheel under the adjustable front seat. The car successfully completed the Classic London to Brighton (and back...150 miles) in 2017 and has taken part in a number of national and local events. It won the 'Second most desired Heinkel Trojan' at the National MicroCar Rally in 2019 - before the interior was refurbished. The heater pipe is currently sealed at the bulkhead due to past experience with exhaust derived heaters but the mechanism around the head is all in place for possible reconnection. A fun and striking car which brings smiles to all that glance over it.Interested parties should be aware that the Trojan runs and drives but the cable needs looking at for smoother gear selection.

2004 Aston Martin Vanquish to S-Specification Transmission: automaticMileage:19700The Vanquish is widely accepted as being one of the most important cars developed by Aston Martin and heavily influenced the direction of the company's line-up of sports cars in recent times. So much so, in fact, that the Newport Pagnell factory underwent an extensive refurbishment to accommodate it, gaining a new assembly line, paint shop, rolling road and water test facility. The genius that is Ian Callum, who developed the DB7, then turned his attention on the new Vanquish using a bonded aluminium tub as the core as well as carbon fibre struts welded to the backbone. All new engine management systems were used with drive-by-wire throttle control and a six-speed manual gearbox with an electro-hydraulic change mechanism matched to a hugely powerful six litre, V12 powerplant. It was an instant success and was the obvious choice for the nation's favourite secret agent. Sadly, it was the last Aston Martin to be built at Newport Pagnell with all future cars moving to Gaydon and using more production line-based build systems. The near-perfect and bespoke example offered here today was ordered at the Park Lane showrooms of Aston Martin by a gentleman from Surrey and registered in March 2004. It was fully equipped with all the latest extras including Connolly leather and Wilton carpeting throughout costing the princely sum of £165,000. The car presents with a full service history with, notably, a new and uprated 'S' clutch fitted in 2013. The mileage at that time was 15,683 however, the vehicle had very little use since that time as it changed hands to the present owner in March 2014 with the mileage showing just 15,753. During the current ownership it has been looked after regardless of cost and always serviced by accredited Aston Martin specialists and with the full-service history maintained. The current mileage is still only 19,700 so, amazingly, this has been kept and maintained regardless of cost, and benefits from a full-service history with just two recorded owners. Additionally, we are led to believe that the first owner always kept the car garaged as part of his private collection as indeed has the current owner. A new set of tyres were fitted in April 2020 with such a low mileage, this represents a well-deserved place in the annals of Aston Martin history as not only one of the last cars ever to leave its spiritual home but uprated to S-Specification and kept in truly remarkable condition throughout.
1994 Ferrari 456 GT Transmission: manualMileage:60209Introduced at Garage Francorchamps, Belgium in 1992, the 456 was Ferrari's attempt to produce a motor car that was somewhat different from their usual offerings. The idea was to generate the space and comfort of a Gran Turismo (GT) whilst being the most powerful 2+2 in the world. The 456 GT incorporated features familiar to generations of Ferrari cognoscenti with the front mounted four-cam V12, rear transaxle, tubular steel space frame chassis, and all-independent suspension remaining, whilst an electronically controlled adaptive suspension and a six-speed gearbox made its first appearance (an automatic gearbox was also an option). Power was supplied via the nearly 450 horsepower V12 that produced a massive 398 ft lb of torque at 4500rpm. Variable ratio power steering, three-way adjustable suspension dampening, self-levelling rear ride height and a speed-activated rear spoiler ensure the handling is up to the performance. The interior was well appointed with features you expect from a luxury motor car. Aerodynamically efficient with a subtly beautiful curvaceous body, the 456 remained stable up to its maximum speed of around 190mph, a figure that made it the world's fastest production four-seater passenger car. This superb example of this iconic front engine V12 Ferrari is presented in the best colour combination of dark metallic blue with a crème leather interior. It comes with the desirable manual gearbox and a very good service history, with it being serviced at yearly intervals over the last few years by the well-known Ferrari specialist, Rardley Motors Ltd in Grayshott, Surrey. The history file is very concise with many old MoT test certificates, records showing the car's past ownership and many invoices chronicling the various owners' expenditure on the Ferrari making certain it has been kept in fine condition mechanically and cosmetically. We believe its paintwork is original and is in good general condition with the interior also in good general condition with the only sign of wear and tear being on the driver's side bolster. A fabulous example which also comes with its own soft car cover and still exudes panache and style even after nearly 30 years.
1994 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur III Transmission: automaticMileage:56000The Silver Spirit III and Silver Spur III were introduced in 1993 featuring engine improvements, more power and some cosmetic updates over the earlier models; the Silver Spur being the longer wheelbase version and the independent adjustment of the rear seats. The interior was dominated by the expected combination of fine wood and leather and interestingly was also the first Rolls-Royce to be fitted with a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy mascot atop the radiator grille. This beautifully maintained example with 19 service stamps recorded, as well as two additional recent service bills, was the property of a retired Army Colonel who has both looked after it and maintained it without regard to cost. The car is finished in dark metallic blue paintwork to the exterior and has clearly been always garage-kept. The magnolia leather interior is in excellent condition, piped in dark blue with blue carpets and highly figured burr walnut. The headlining is also unmarked magnolia hide with additional occasional tables fitted for rear passengers. There is no corrosion evident under the bonnet, wheel arches or bumper surrounds, all usual hot-spots. The air conditioning blows cold and the engine runs silently with the gearbox seamless and imperceptible in operation. A good Spur is often hard to find and this example is certainly hard to fault, especially with a comprehensive history file and both factory owner's book packs. A full pre-sale service and check-up has also been performed by noted Rolls-Royce experts, Colbrook Specialists immediately prior to the sale.
1960 Triumph TR3A Transmission: manualMileage:55883The Triumph TR3 was built between 1955 and 1962 and was usually supplied as an open two-seater, although an occasional rear seat and bolt-on steel hardtop were available as extras. It was powered by a 1991cc engine which initially produced 95bhp increasing to 100bhp at 5000rpm. The four-speed manual transmission could be supplemented by an overdrive unit on the top three ratios electrically operated and controlled by a switch on the dash. In 1956, the front brakes changed from drum to disc becoming the first British series production car to do so. Because of these disc brakes, the TR3 became known for its superior braking ability, making it an autocross favourite.Presented in red with a desirable white hardtop, this magnificent example of the iconic British sportscar boats just four owners in its entire life. Offered with a large history file which contains information going back to 1985 when the second owner, a Mr. Howard purchased the car requiring full restoration. The engine was rebuilt with the crankshaft re-ground and new liners and pistons fitted, along with unleaded valve seats with new valves and new springs. An electronic ignition was fitted, and the gearbox completely overhauled with a new clutch for good measure. The front suspension was updated and braided hoses fitted alongside new side screens rebuilt with a matching hood and tonneau. The third owner fitted a front anti-roll bar, and all the suspension bushes were polybushed alongside narrow V-belt pullies (less friction) and alternator. The car then took part in numerous rallies such as the TR Register Pyrenees tour in 1995 and the Millennium Tour in 2000.In 2012, the car was completely stripped and painted by Bristol Classic & Sports Cars in Clevedon. Contained within the history file are approximately seven A4 size sheets of paper with 35 photographs per sheet recording the recommissioning in 2015, we believe this included twin choke Weber carburettors, servo brakes and electronic fuel pump before tuning on a rolling road. You will be pleased to know that the car comes with old logbooks, tax discs and the factory hardtop which was also restored in 2015.Looked after and cherished without regard to cost, this TR3A with overdrive performs amicably in rallies but would be equally at home on the road and the bills and invoices over the years add up to thousands and thousands. Supplied with a new tonneau cover along with the hardtop, this is a UK car with matching numbers and comes with a BMIH Trust Certificate.Interested parties should note that the hard top for this Lot requires new glass.
1997 Mazda MX-5 Harvard Transmission: manualMileage:52728The 1997 Mazda MX-5 Harvard Edition is a tribute to driving pleasure. This limited-edition model celebrates the spirited essence of the MX-5, capturing the pure joy of open-air motoring. With a silver metallic exterior and red leather interior, it exudes timeless elegance. Its rev-happy 1.8 litre engine and precise five-speed manual transmission offer an engaging driving experience, while unique features like alloy wheels, wooden gear knob, and chrome accents add to its distinctive charm. The MX-5 Harvard embodies the harmonious blend of performance and style, making it a coveted choice among enthusiasts and a nod to automotive heritage. This delightful MX-5 Harvard was originally registered on 1st August 1997. Limited to 500 cars in the UK the Harvard benefits from 15" Alloy wheels, chrome brace bar, Silver Stone metallic paint, burgundy leather trim and a walnut dashboard. This low mileage example presents well, and we are told is a joy to drive. The car is presented to auction with an original book pack, a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate valid until February 2024 and is offered without reserve. This Mazda promises lots of fun for a minimal outlay.
1948 Morris Minor MM Lowlight Split Screen Transmission: manualMileage:15538Sir Alec Issigonis' concept was to combine the luxury and convenience of a good motor car at a price affordable by the working classes. The Minor was a roomy vehicle with superior cornering and handling characteristics. The Minor prototype had been known as the Morris Mosquito. More than 1.3 million of the lightweight, rear-wheel drive cars were eventually produced, mainly in Cowley, Oxfordshire, becoming Britain's first car to sell a million units and was exported around the world. Production continued in Birmingham until 1972 with the last Morris Minor (commercial) assembled at Stoke, Nelson, New Zealand in 1974. The front torsion bar suspension was shared with the larger Morris Oxford as was the almost-unibody construction. Although the Minor was originally designed to accept a flat four engine with four distinctive gaps in the engine bay to accommodate it, late in the development stage it was replaced by a 918cc side-valve inline-four engine, pretty much unchanged from the outgoing Morris 8 and producing 27.5hp and 39lbf ft of torque. This little engine pushed the Minor to just 64mph but delivered 40 miles per imperial gallon. This example is one of the very earliest cars in existence, being just the seventh car to roll off the production line in 1948. It is understood to be the oldest example in private ownership, with chassis number 501 belonging to the National Motor Museum. The car was purchased by our vendor's late uncle in 1965, being in the family ever since. The car is presented in exceptional condition throughout, the Platinum Grey paintwork gleams and would proudly sit next to far more expensive cars at any show. The car has some very rare features, such as the single round rear lights, a part which is said to have taken twenty years to source during the ground up restoration process, when a new old stock pair were found at an autojumble. The car also has side semaphore indicators and chrome door tops, opposed the stainless steel tops found on later cars. This example really does need to be seen to be fully appreciated, it is understood to be the oldest running useable example; there are no records of chassis numbers 502-506, so this car is likely to be the oldest surviving example which is publicly available. It's very unlikely that the National Motor Museum will sell chassis 501 anytime soon. This car would be a fantastic addition to any collection and is an opportunity which should not be missed.
1978 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II Transmission: automaticMileage:58000Whilst the Yichang Factory in China assembles a car every 46 seconds, over here we take our time. And it shows. For every Silver Shadow that Rolls-Royce produced in Crew during the 1970s and 80s, the highly focused and specialised workforce spent 12 weeks putting each one together. From the advanced fully-independent and self-levelling suspension to the all-aluminium 6.75 litre, V8 engine with its power-output tactfully described as "adequate". As modern as the engineering was beneath the skin, every owner was still afforded the last word in luxury and refinement with Connolly leather and burr walnut, a symphony of the most elegant of automotive interiors. This ULEZ-exempt example is presented in the rare-optioned metallic Silver Sand with a beige interior piped in dark brown with Cumberland Stone carpets, lambswool over-rugs and footrests. The Cumberland Stone carpets also continue into the boot, a feature rarely seen, compared to standard black. Also included is a dark brown dash-top with beige knee-roll and radio surround. This Silver Shadow II also boasts the Harvey Bailey handling package, passenger door mirror controllable from the inside and lightly tinted Sundym glass all round in fact, the interior of this car is hard to fault especially when combined with ice-cold (updated system to R134A) air conditioning.Originally delivered to Lex Mead Rolls-Royce in Bristol, it was then immediately transferred to Jack Barclay in London whereupon it was sold to the first owner. A comprehensive service history, initially from Jack Barclay then Haines & Hall followed by specialists can be found within a stamped service book in the original owner's pack alongside all receipts, MoT's test certificates and a documented summary of all service work. Another recent addition includes new hydraulic brakes and suspension pipes, four new and correct Avon Turbospeed tyres, a jack and toolkit in the boot and both original ignition keys. Serviced less than 200 miles ago, it will nonetheless receive another light service prior to delivery as well and a full MoT test certificate. The Financial Times Weekend supplement recently tipped the Silver Shadow as one of the best investments you can make currently. Historics would not disagree with that august publication in this instance.
1998 Bentley Azure Widebody Symbolic Edition Transmission: automaticMileage:35000The Bentley Azure was launched in 1995 and was based on the platform of the Continental R which had been launched in 1991. The Azure intended to both convey a sense of presence and allow for comfortable seating of four adult passengers. Power came from the company's stalwart 6.75 litre, V8 featuring a single intercooled turbocharger. The gearbox was a General Motors sourced four-speed automatic unit with the Azure capable of 0-60mph in an impressive 6.1 seconds. Owing to the limited space at Bentley's Crewe factory, the Azure was designed and manufactured by Pininfarina, significantly adding to the vehicle's production cost. This unique and desirable Azure Symbolic Edition is finished in a special-order Mendip Blue (an Aston Martin colour) in deviation from the black that the other six cars were finished in with magnolia leather hide interior. A Mulliner commissioned example; this car had a number of non-standard features spanning two pages on the supplied specification details report. Sitting on 18" chrome wheels, this example also boasts the T-style console, Burr walnut veneers, the removal of side repeater flashers, flared arches, Bentley wings in the door waist rails and an uprated 420bhp engine boasting 875nm of torque to mention but a few of the non-standard features from new. The car was originally supplied to Bentley San Diego on 1st May 1998 and imported to the UK in 2018 from Florida with 13,000 miles on the odometer, where the seller informed us it had just had a $10,000 overhaul including the replacement of the hood hydraulic lines unfortunately, we do not have invoices for this within the history file. Since its arrival in the UK, the car has been cared for by Bowling-Ryan Ltd, Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists in Bolton with the most and recent service in August 2022 coupled to previous services in 2018 and 2020. Supplied with handbooks, an MoT test certificate with no advisories and valid until April 2024, the Azure is not only one of the best cars to cruise the French Riviera but it is uniquely specified and rare which increases its potential for strong collectable values in the future.
1968 Aston Martin DB6 Transmission: manualMileage:7545The Aston Martin DB6 was launched at the London Motor Show in 1965, following on from the highly successful DB5, immortalised by the 1964 James Bond film 'Goldfinger'. The front of the DB6 was visually similar to the DB5 but closer inspection revealed quite a different car. The wheelbase was lengthened allowing additional passenger space in the rear along with a raised roof line. The profile of the rear quarter lights echoed those of the DB4 GT Zagato, a styling theme that continued through to the DBS and V8 models until production finished in 1990.Offered new by dealer D H Bloomer of Grimsby, this superb looking DB6 was registered new on 16th August 1968 to a Mr. Drink esq of Boston, Lincolnshire. Offered in Olive paintwork over a beige Connolly hide interior, the Aston was originally specified with options including power steering, a heated rear screen and chrome wire wheels.Restoration work was undertaken by Aston Service Dorset and Derek Watson Restoration in 1995. The DB6 was later sold in 1998 where it was dry stored and used occasionally until 2021 when our vendor acquired the car. During our vendors tenure, the car has been fully maintained by renowned marque specialists, Desmond J Smail Ltd of Olney and Aston Engineering of Derby.A very well-presented example, the paintwork retains a deep shine and is in very good order, as is the interior and engine bay showing a light patina as one would expect. Reported to run and drive very well indeed, this Aston comes complete with a sizeable history file including, many invoices for maintenance work, its current V5C registration document and previous MoT test certificates. This example having previously been the subject of restoration and having been maintained to a high standard throughout its life is a superb candidate for any enthusiast or collector looking for a very well presented and imminently usable DB6.
2016 Land Rover Defender 90 XS Hardtop Transmission: manualMileage:63148The 2016 Land Rover 90 XS Hardtop is a rugged and versatile off-road vehicle that combines luxury with unparalleled off-road capabilities. This compact SUV boasts a powerful 2.2 litre diesel engine, delivering impressive torque for conquering challenging terrains. Its iconic boxy design exudes an aura of timeless elegance, while its robust chassis and advanced four-wheel-drive system ensures exceptional off-road prowess. This low mileage example of the iconic off roader is a top of the range XS and benefits from an impressive list of equipment as standard including traction control, anti-lock brakes, air conditioning and heated seats. In addition, this car has been fitted with a snorkel air intake, black sawtooth alloy wheels, black chequer plating and upgraded headlights. Whether navigating city streets or tackling the wilderness, this Land Rover provided a confident and commanding driving experience, making it a sought-after choice for adventurers and urbanites alike.
1971 Lotus Europa Twin Cam Transmission: manualMileage:76000The 1971 Lotus Europa Twin Cam is a classic icon that epitomises automotive engineering excellence of its time. With a mid-mounted 1.6 litre twin-cam engine, it delivered an impressive blend of power and agility. Its innovative fiberglass monocoque chassis contributed to its lightweight design and exceptional handling. The distinctive, low-profile body showcased a timeless aesthetic, marrying form and function. The Europa Twin Cam's impact reverberates through automotive history, leaving a lasting impression as a driver-focused sports car that pushed boundaries. Even today, its influence can be seen in the principles that underpin modern performance-oriented vehicles.Owned by the vendor since July 2019, this car has had £14,000 spent on refurbishments and improvements to make an excellent ready-to-drive, useable example, with a high degree of originality. A substantial folder of bills and photographs describe the car's history up to the present day. In addition to the V5C registration document in the vendor's name, there is a Lotus Classic Certificate of Vehicle Provenance, issued to David Golding Cars of Dublin, from December 2012 which confirms the VIN and engine number as original, and the car's delivery to Lotus dealer, Foley Park Motors of Kidderminster in November 1971. Tax discs from the 90's show the car spent time in the West Midlands before being exported to Dublin, returning to the UK around 2012. The Lotus certificate states the car's colour as Carnival Red. Extra options recorded were alloy Lotus wheels and air horns. In the history file there are several MoT test certificates dating back to 2012, showing the mileage figures and a Lotus Europa owner's handbook from 1971. All work since July 2019 is documented in bills from Lotus specialists, Rapid Mechanical Services (RMS) of Romford, with numerous older bills dating back to 2013. The car was resprayed to the original colour sometime in the 00's with photos of that work also contained in the history file. RMS were commissioned by the vendor to complete £14,000 of work which included reconditioning the original gearbox, starter motor, reconditioning the Dellorto carbs and refurbishing the original radiator, installing a new fan, thermos switch, coolant transfer pipes and alloy expansion bottle. Head and sump gaskets were fitted as was a rear main oil seal and water pump. In addition, the car benefitted from a new coil and HT leads, new adjustable suspension dampers and coil over springs, a modern alternator, new battery, battery isolator, electronic ignition and modern headlights. We are informed that the car drives really well as a result of this work. It is light and highly sensitive to driver input. The 650kg weight and twin overhead cam Lotus head and refurbed Dellorto carb's transform the Ford 1558cc engine's performance, while the new suspension units do the same for the handling. Not quite 'blistering' by today's standard, but surprisingly quick and precise. A unique driving experience. You have to get used to people taking photos/selfies and answering questions!
1991 Daimler Double-Six Series III Transmission: automaticMileage:41307The chairman of Jaguar at the time 'Lofty' England declared that the new V12 luxury saloon was to be baptised the Daimler Double-Six and a legend was born. The Series III, the final derivative of the Daimler Double-Six, arrived in 1979 and like its predecessors benefited from the clean cut, new body designed by famed Italian design house, Pininfarina. The new design featured more glass, slightly squarer lines around the roof area and up to date front and rear styling. The Series III soldiered on until the late 1980s, outliving the XJ6, the departure of which was delayed by problems installing the engine in the new XJ40 series. This was the flagship car in the Jaguar/Daimler line and was produced until the end of 1992. It would be hard to imagine news footage of the 1980s and early 1990s without a member of the cabinet or the House of Windsor ascending elegantly out of a Double-Six. No other car of that period epitomised brisk luxury travel like a Daimler and in such a truly understated British fashion. This car was not concerned with the pomp and showmanship of a Rolls-Royce, it was a Daimler and it meant business. The export market adored it.This beautiful example was originally exported to Japan and stayed there until circa 2018, becoming UK registered in July 2019. It is now very common to find cars here in the UK which have been imported from Japan, usually due to the condition the cars tend to be in, their roads are un-salted thus leading to largely rust-free cars and their MoT test equivalent is particularly stringent, meaning cars are kept in very good condition. The British Racing Green coachwork gleams and is hard to fault, as is the Magnolia hide interior. The history file has a record of sixteen services in Japan from 506km all the way to 51,514km and a further four services in the UK, most recently in January 2021 at 34,616 miles. The history file also includes a record of the speedometer being changed and modified to show miles instead of kilometres. The change took place at 54,603km, meaning a reading of 33,706 miles was given. The odometer now reads 41,307 miles. This is an excellent late example of the quintessential British luxury saloon and is one of very few remaining in such superb condition.
1975 Ford Escort RS1800 Rally Car Transmission: manualMileage:The squarer-styled Escort Mk. II appeared in January 1975 with the first production models having rolled off the production lines on 2nd December 1974. Unlike the first Escort (which was developed by Ford of Britain), the second generation was developed jointly between the UK and Ford of Germany. Codenamed 'Brenda' during its development, it had the same mechanical configuration as its predecessor; the estate and van versions even used the same panel-work as the Mk. I but with the Mk. II front end and interior. The car used a revised underbody which had, in fact, been introduced as a running change during the last six months of the life of the Mk. I. The car was a success with just four body styles competing in a variation of market niches where rival manufacturers had multiple models. The 'L' and 'GL' models were mainly purchased by the private sector; the 'Sport', 'RS Mexico' and 'RS2000' in the performance market; the 'Ghia' for an untapped small car luxury sector and 'base' models for the fleet market. The Escort continued to prove hugely popular with buyers in Britain during the second half of the 1970s, but production slowed and after an incredibly popular model run, ended in Britain in August 1980 with other countries following soon after.Built around one of the spare shells provided to Ford South Africa for their works rally team, it is reported that this RS1800 was bought by the well-known and respected Italian driver, Piazza Musso when the South African Ford team closed. Along with the unused shell and another, he also acquired direct from Ford South Africa many spares including; gearboxes, axles and suspension. UK based and well-regarded Escort rally specialists, Phil and Mick Squires were asked to travel to South Africa to complete the builds and compete in the sister car. By the end of the event, a deal had been struck to buy the car offered here. Mr. Squire even remembers having the factory 'Team Span' stripe stickers included in the deal, which are fitted to the car to this day. Before the car was sold, its 2.1 litre engine was removed as it would not have been legal to run in UK competition. Upon its arrival to the UK, the car was sold as a rolling chassis to the vendor who prepared the car to BTRDA specification, originally in the 1600cc class and latterly the 1800cc class. The car enjoyed good success between 2003 and 2009 winning several rallies in its respective classes before being converted to period specification to compete in the Historic Rally series, before later that year being put into long term storage.Full specification of the car can be seen in its history file, but highlights include; 2.0 litre three stud BDX competition engine with 48 Weber carburettors, AP racing twin plate clutch, Tony Law manifold and exhaust system, Terry Samuels built gearbox, works wiring loom, safety devices roll cage, four link box turrets, large differential housing with Atlas limited slip differential, GP4 adjustable pedal box, Bilstein shock absorbers, GP4 adjustable front struts with roller bearing top mounts, 'Monte Carlo' brake calipers and dry sump oil feed system. Supplied with a V5 registration document and fitted with a new starter motor, this piece of rallying history is ready to hunt down victories once more.
1978 Matra Simca Bagheera XTransmission: manualMileage:60120The Matra Bagheera was built by the automotive division of the French engineering group Matra in co-operation with Simca. Marketed as the Matra-Simca Bagheera until its final year of production, when its designation was changed to the Talbot-Matra Bagheera following Chrysler Europe's demise and subsequent takeover by PSA. Chrysler-Simca's planners also wanted a car with more than just two seats. Guédon agreed, but he was also not satisfied with the 2+2 arrangement used in the M530, feeling that the rear seats were too small to be really useful. The solution came to him on a lengthy trip he took in a Ford Taunus station wagon with two colleagues. The back of the car was so full that the travellers sat three across in the front of the car. The Bagheera was unveiled to the press at an event held at Lake Annecy on April 14th 1973. The public release of the car took place at the 1973 24 Heures du Mans. At the same time Simca had arranged to have 500 yellow Bagheeras available at their dealers across France. Towards the end of 1973, production levels had reached 65 cars per day.First registered on 3rd December 1982, this original and rare right hand drive conversion, carried out by Walchry Motors of Walton-on-Thames (official Peugeot Talbot dealers), is one of only 57 cars that were built by Walchry, and this example is believed to be one of only four remaining. Subject to a complete restoration and rebuild from 2014-2020, the car was completely stripped, the chassis fully plated, welded and coated. The composite bodywork has been repainted to a very high standard and mechanical components have been restored or replaced as necessary. The interior has been retrimmed to an equally high standard in black leather, with a black suede headlining. This has left the structure of the car as better than new and fully protected against the elements with full chassis rust proofing. The restoration has been finished off with bespoke Minilite-style alloy wheels. The history file boasts detailed photos of the restoration and upon purchase an extensive spares package is also available including the original alloy wheels and many body panels with collection near London. the odometer is in kms reading 98,363 which equates to just 60,120 miles. The standard electric windows have been enhanced with the addition of remote central locking and immobiliser. The engine has been upgraded to a more modern and reliable Peugeot EW12 2.2 unit, effectively a modern version of the 2.2 engine fitted to the Bagheera's successor, the Murena. Whilst in need of some mechanical fettling to the running and gear change to finish, the car now has a modern level of performance to suit the considerable style offered by this rare and beautiful three-seater. Registered as historic with the DVLA, so MoT and tax exempt, this three-seater is rarer than the Mclaren F1 so very collectable, rare and certainly a conversation starter.Guide Price £12,000-£17,000Spares parts available as follows which can be collected from London post sale;Front and rear bumpersBoth doorsRear glass, both sides,Rear light lensesUndertraysFuel tankRare original wheelsOriginal steering wheelVarious other bits, mostly exterior items
1973 Triumph Stag Transmission: automaticMileage:75929Like the Triumph 2000 it was developed from, the Stag was styled by Italian maestro Giovanni Michelotti and featured the monocoque construction, independent suspension, disc/drum brakes, power-assisted rack and pinion steering and driveline of that saloon. The powerplant, though, was an all-new OHC, V8 of 3000cc capacity fed by a pair of Stromberg carburettors. The newcomer received a warm reception at the time of launch in 1970. However, once in the hands of customers there were quibbles over build quality and engine maladies. Although Triumph itself failed to fully resolve the issues, independent specialists have, and well sorted Stags are now the rival to the Mercedes-Benz SL they were always intended to be.Originally registered on 27th September 1973, this Triumph is finished in Inca Yellow with a contrasting dark brown interior with tan piping and a dark brown mohair soft top. Subject to a comprehensive restoration this Stag benefits from excellent paintwork and interior. The significant history folder confirms an expenditure of over £8,000 with the car having covered less than 100 miles since then. To be expected after such a level of spend, we are advised the car drives with no known faults, the automatic transmission operating as it should with smooth gearchanges. Also benefitting from power steering this Triumph Stag is a perfectly useable example. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 20th February 2024, this is a delightful example for a relatively modest outlay.
1966 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Mk. I Transmission: manualMileage:73372The Aston Martin DB6 was launched at the London Motor Show in 1965, following on from the highly successful DB5, immortalised by the 1964 James Bond film 'Goldfinger'. The front of the DB6 was visually similar to the DB5 but closer inspection revealed quite a different car. The wheelbase was lengthened allowing additional passenger space in the rear along with a raised roof line. The profile of the rear quarter lights echoed those of the DB4 GT Zagato, a styling theme that continued through to the DBS and V8 models until production finished in 1990. Both front and rear bumpers were split into two pieces and the rear of the car was restyled with a Kamm tail which helped reduce aerodynamic drag and gave the car more stability at speed. The engine remained the same as the DB5 unit, a 3995cc twin overhead cam straight-six, the Vantage version offering a claimed 325bhp.This example is an original Vantage, boasting triple Weber 45DCOE carburettors and is beautifully presented in the timeless colour combination of Silver Birch with Dark Navy leather interior. Fitted with power steering and a Webasto roof, which our vendor says it actually a very welcome feature on hot summers days. First registered on 4th May 1966, then sold to a Mr & Mrs Kemp in 1969, who would keep the car until 1976 before selling it to another Mrs Kemp, who went on to keep the car until 2010. Our vendor purchased the car in 2011 and has cherished it ever since. The history file is extensive, with a record of works going all the way back to 1970. The car was largely unrestored when our vendor purchased it from the Aston Workshop, but he chose to have it repainted to freshen it up, and had the interior restored to, both now present beautifully. There are a few age-related marks on the edges of panels, but the general appearance of the car is excellent. The bumpers, wheel spinners and interior components were all re-chromed in 2013, they present well and retain a good shine. Our vendor has attended to many mechanical parts during his ownership, the engine received new valve guides, new valves (6x Vantage 2.1 inlet valves & 6x standard exhaust valves), head re-build, new cam followers, new calipers all round, carburettor rebuild, new bushes, new timing chain and tensioner, new water pump, the list goes on. If you are looking to add a DB6 to your collection, a Vantage is surely the one to have. It's nice to find an example which is virtually unrestored, the car has just been maintained and freshened up over the years, this example is ready to be enjoyed right away and our vendor reports it is always a joy to drive.Interested parties should note that this vehicle is sold without a V5C registration document. The vendor will provide a covering letter to enable the new keeper to apply for a V5C registration document by means of a V62 form.
2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R Transmission: automaticMileage:25389The GT R is a high-performance variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT and was introduced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2016. The M178 engine in this variant is tuned to an output of 577bhp and with 516 lb ft of torque. The GT R accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 198 mph. While the GT R retains the key mechanical differences the GT C gains over the GT S, it also gains manually adjustable Coilover springs, an active underbody fairing, a manually adjustable rear wing, and a nine-mode AMG Traction Control system. When it was launched, the GT R had several cosmetic changes compared with the standard car, notably the vertical slats in the front grille, an adjustable rear wing, new front air intakes and new front and rear diffusers. The styling of the GT R is more comparable to that of the AMG GT3 race car. For the 2018 Formula One World Championship, the GT R became the official Formula 1 safety car and during the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix, the safety car ran a red livery rather than the traditional silver to commemorate Scuderia Ferrari's 1,000th Grand Prix start. For the 2021 F1 season, the GT R Safety Car permanently wore a red livery rather than the traditional silver to increase the chances of drivers seeing the Safety Car in poor visibility and shared the role with the Aston Martin Vantage. The GT R completed a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife track in 7:10.92, in a test conducted by German magazine Sport Auto making it the fifth fastest lap time for a road-legal production vehicle around the track at the time. This example of the GT3 RS crushing GT R is presented in matte grey with contrasting black alloy wheels and boasts the uprated race seats to what is a fabulously plush cockpit given the incredible potential of this car under the bonnet. The 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 engine sounds incredible on start-up and being mounted so far back it is referred to as a front mid-engine example. With the gearbox over the rear puts the majority of the weight over the rear wheel drive axles producing a fabulously balanced car.Having covered a mere 25,389 miles, in August this year this example received it most recent Mercedes-Benz dealer history. This car was driven for the Historics 'Driving in Cars' series found on the Historics Auctions YouTube channel and Historics ambassador and auctioneer Vicki Butler-Henderson can testify to the incredible performance level with or without the traction control system engaged.Watch the Historics driving in cars episode featuring this AMG GTR!
1929 MG PA to Q-Type Specification Transmission: manualMileage:2755The MG Q-Type is a racing car produced by MG in 1934. The chassis was based on the one used on the MG K3 but was narrower and used N-Type axles. The engine used the cylinder block from the P-Type but with a special crankshaft to bring the capacity down to 746cc by reducing the stroke. A high-pressure Zoller supercharger was fitted giving a boost to 2.5 atmospheres and allowing the engine to produce 113bhp at 7200rpm. A sprint version was also made with output increased to 146bhp which at nearly 200bhp per litre this figure was higher than any other racing engine in the world at that time and equated to over 200bhp per 1,000cc! To add stability at the inevitable high speeds, it was decided to increase the wheelbase and track on the basis that the extra power would more than compensate for the additional weight. The wheelbase was made the same as on the K3, and N-Type axles of 3' 9 track, with special 12 brake drums, were used.Regarded as the ultimate traditional overhead cam-engined MG Midget, it is thought only eight were made (Michael Sedgwick states nine) as the car was expensive at £550"“£650, and the rigid-axle chassis had difficulty in dealing with the power of the engine. In general layout the car followed the 1934 MG K3 very closely and inside elevation it is not easy to tell the two models apart. All eight Q-Types were originally fitted with very attractive open two-seat sports racing coachwork with a sloping, pointed tail and outside exhaust. The final track testing of the Q-Type was undertaken by Bill Everitt and on Whit Monday, 1934, he broke the Class H Brooklands Mountain lap record at 69.97mph, first time out. He then competed at a Donington Park race meeting, achieving a first place and two seconds. At Brooklands on August 1st, he broke the Standing Kilometer and Standing Mile records at 69.75 and 79.88mph respectively - this was a direct measure of the improvement of the Q-Type since these records were taken from E.R. Hall who had set them the previous year in an MG J4. In October 1934, Everitt raised the Mountain Lap record to 75.58mph in the Q-Type and the Standing Kilometer and Mile records to the remarkable figures of 75.42 and 85.59mph.The Q-Type bodied MG PA on offer today is presented in French Racing Blue and we ascertain from the large history file it was subject to a full photographic restoration in 2007. In stunning order and boasting the Volumex supercharger, during our vendors tenure the car has undergone significant expenditure to create what is a fabulous recreation of the Q-Type racer showing a body work akin to the days racing at Brooklands. This included the blower, the bespoke external handbrake, quick fill fuel caps , turned metal dash with dual chronograph clocks, Brooklands aero screens, aluminium foot plates and aluminium and rubber mats in the footwell. The bonnet straps and coachwork are as new likewise the trim sitting on wire wheels with bespoke tonneau and a fabulous fantail exhaust.Eligible we would believe for hill climbs and sprints, this would be a great drivers car and certainly one of the best looking examples in the paddock. Our vendor has moved abroad so can no longer enjoy thus viewing is strongly advised for a car that will be finding a new home. This is an exceedingly rare opportunity to purchase a stunning homage to one of the eight Q-Types and in fine condition. It is an extremely exciting road car as well as a competitive pre-war racing car.
1994 Land Rover Defender 90 County Transmission: manualMileage:99196The Land Rover Series I was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years through various evolutions before becoming the Defender, though the design stayed largely un-changed. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin. This Defender has lived a relatively sedate life, it was with its original keeper, a Mrs Doyle until 2012, before being bought by our vendors neighbour, Mr Litton, in 2012. Our vendors neighbour decided to treat himself to a brand new Defender when he retired, but decided he wanted a second vehicle to keep the mileage down on his shiny new purchase. Mr Litton fitted the option of a hand controlled brake pedal to the vehicle and when our vendor purchased the vehicle from him earlier this year, he decided to leave it fitted as it wasn't in the way and it may help someone else at a later date. The vendor reports that the speedometer stopped working and had to be replaced some years ago, so the true mileage is understood to be in the region of 120,000. This rugged go-anywhere Defender is being offered without reserve, so why not have a go at buying one of the most accomplished off-roaders?
1958 Austin Healey 100/6 Transmission: manualMileage:2693The Austin Healey 100 was built between 1953 and 1956 by the British Motor Corporation. It was developed by Donald Healey to be produced in-house by Healey's small car company in Warwick and based on Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals. Healey built a single 'Healey Hundred' for the 1952 London Motor Show and the design impressed Leonard Lord, Managing Director of Austin, so much that a deal was struck with Healey to build it in quantity at Austin's Longbridge factory. The car was renamed the Austin Healey 100. The '100' name comes from Donald Healey who selected the name from the car's ability to reach 100mph as opposed to the Austin Healey 3000 which is named for its 3000cc engine. The final '100' models, 1956's 'BN4' (2+2 seats) and 1958's 'BN6' (two seats) were six-cylinder 100/6 cars. To make room for the occasional seats the wheelbase was increased by two inches. The bonnet had a built-in air scoop and the windscreen no longer folded down.Subject to a full mechanical and bodywork restoration this stunning example was manufactured in 1958. Presented beautifully in green coachwork with a newly trimmed interior in contrasting blood red Nappa leather with new wool carpets and new tonneau cover. Boasting a manual gearbox, this desirable four-seater is UK registered, and the original engine has been uprated and bored out to 3.0 litre, this coupled to a new wiring loom, rebuilt carburettors and a lightened and balanced flywheel, new engine mounts and clutch. The cooling has been uprated with a new aluminium radiator, new fan and new water pump. The fittings are all zinc or stainless steel in the engine bay and the car now also benefits from electronic ignition and disc brakes. A look underneath also gives an indication of the extent of the restoration for what is a great looking car. The most desirable model with the most desirable engine, this example will deliver many more years of driving pleasure with its classic good looks and strong performance this example looks fabulous.
1975 Alfa Romeo Spider Transmission: manualMileage:4626The Alfa Romeo Spider was produced from 1966 to 1993 and is widely regarded as a design classic. It remained in production for almost three decades with only minor aesthetic and mechanical changes. The final Alfa Romeo Spider and the last rear wheel drive vehicle produced before the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione debuted in May 2012 was produced in April 1993. The first presentation of the car, as a prototype, was at the Turin Motor Show in 1961; however, the continuing success of existing models and the economic challenges facing Italy at the time meant that the first pre-launch Spiders only began to emerge from the Pininfarina production line at the end of 1965. The 1300 and 2000 cars were modified in 1974 and 1975 respectively to include two small seats behind the front seats, becoming a 2+2.This right hand drive Alfa Romeo Spider was originally registered in South Africa and has recently been imported into the UK. It is fitted with a 2.0 litre engine which also has a turbo fitted to it. The bodywork is in good condition as is the biscuit-coloured interior. Supplied with a NOVA certificate and a current MoT test certificate valid until 19th June 2024, this handsome Alfa Romeo offers 'wind in the hair' motoring for a modest outlay.
1981 Land Rover Series III 109 Transmission: manualMileage:301Land Rovers were inspired by the US-built Willys Jeep immediately after the war. By 1992, Land Rover claimed that 70% of all the vehicles they had ever built were still in use. Before the war, Rover had produced luxury cars which then ceased to be in demand in the post-war period. Raw materials were also strictly rationed to companies building construction or industrial equipment. Rover's original factory in Coventry had also been bombed, forcing the company to move into a huge factory it had built in Solihull to construct aircraft. The Series III is the most common vehicle with 440,000 built. The headlights were moved to the wings and the traditional metal grille featured on its predecessor, was replaced with a plastic one. The production run for the Series III was from 1971 through to 1985, and during this cycle in 1976, the 1,000,000th Land Rover rolled off the production line. The Series III saw many changes in the later part of its life as Land Rover updated the design to meet increased competition. This Land Rover was originally registered on 25th February 1981 and has been totally and beautifully restored by the knowledgeable and fastidious vendor. The body was removed from the chassis and a new galvanised chassis fitted. The bodywork itself was repaired where necessary and repainted in the traditional colour combination of Sherwood Green with black. The engine was stripped down and rebuilt as was the gearbox. Wolf wheels have been fitted and the interior trim taken care of accordingly. This 109 inch Land Rover has four inward facing seats to the rear and a suitable 'rag-top' for inclement weather. Series III Land Rovers are exceptionally robust and offer the ultimate 4x4 off road experience. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 11th June 2024 and a collection of invoices in the history folder. This model was only in production for three years and to find one in such fabulous condition is a rare treat indeed.
1995 Ford Escort RS Cosworth Transmission: manualMileage:21752The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was released in 1992 just as the Sierra Sapphire 4x4 Cosworth production was ending. The radical styling that included flared arches and the unmissable whale tail rear spoiler, displayed only a small part of the potential however, that potential was fulfilled by the fitment of the Ford power unit that lay under the bonnet boosted by a turbo charger. Production commenced in February 1992 with the first 2,500 being homologation specials. The Cosworth was entered into the World Rally Championship the following year, enjoying outstanding success in the hands of works drivers François Delecour and Miki Biasion. Although the RS Cosworth resembled the Escort road car, it was in fact based on a shortened Sierra 4x4 floor pan and used the latter's running gear. This meant that, unlike the mainstream Mk. V Escort, the RS Cosworth mounted its engine fore-and-aft rather than transversely, it also used the Sierra 4x4's five-speed manual transmission which featured permanent four-wheel drive that split the power 34/66 front/rear. In road trim, the RS Cosworth produced 227bhp and with that horsepower in a nimble, compact car, performance was outstanding. The end came too early for many enthusiasts with production ceasing in January 1996. Only 7,145 cars were produced over a four-year period. This example is presented in Ash Black with one of the rarest interior trims, red hex Recaro. The overall condition of the car is excellent, our vendor purchased the car from a local gentleman who owned it alongside a daily driven 200,000 mile Sierra Cosworth, the Escort Cosworth was the one he chose to keep tucked away with the mileage kept to a minimum. The odometer failed in 2012 at 25,184 miles, a replacement was fitted showing 17,666 miles, meaning the true mileage of the car is now just 29,270 miles. The car remains in almost completely unmodified form, the only change being a stainless steel exhaust, which provides a very subtle note and is by no means too 'shouty'. The cambelt was replaced in 2021 and a service was carried out at the same time, only around 500 miles have been covered since. The MoT test certificate is valid until March 2024, two advisories were noted which were, some slight corrosion on underside components and a perished CV boot - both have since been attended to.The Escort Cosworth has one of the most legendary silhouettes of all time with its instantly recognisable whale tail rear spoiler. They were a rare sight on the roads when new, further amplified now more than 30 years after the cars initial release, only 241 cars are now registered on UK roads. This is a particularly well-kept example in a desirable colour combination and boasting less than 30,000 miles from new and has proven to be one of the most desirable fast Ford's in recent years.
1967 Volkswagen Kombi T2 Transmission: manualMileage:The 1967 Volkswagen Kombi T2, an iconic member of the Volkswagen Type 2 family, is an enduring symbol of the 1960s counterculture and a beloved classic in the world of automotive history. With its distinctive boxy design and split windshield, the Kombi T2 became synonymous with freedom, adventure, and the hippie movement. Its versatile interior could be configured for various purposes, from transporting passengers to serving as a makeshift camper. The rear-mounted air-cooled engine was reliable and easy to maintain. Whether used for road trips, camping, or simply as a people carrier, the Kombi T2 continues to evoke nostalgia and admiration among enthusiasts worldwide. This stunning 1967 Volkswagen presents well in green and white coachwork which is complemented by a green interior. Imported from Australasia, this rare Volkswagen has benefitted from a comprehensive photographic restoration. Receipts for the work are present, as is a V5C registration document and a file containing various bills, receipts and previous MoT test certificates. The quality of this Volkswagen needs to be viewed to be fully appreciated.
2003 Bentley Azure Performance Final Series Transmission: automaticMileage:15400The Bentley Azure was launched in 1995 and was based on the platform of the Continental R which had been launched in 1991. One of the rarest of Azure developments was the 'Final Series Performance' version, only 62 examples of which were completed towards the end of production during 2002/2003. The 'FSP' was based on the Bentley Azure Mulliner, which came with an engine up-rated to produce 420bhp, suitably stiffened suspension, and various other improvements. This series was commissioned as a tribute to the cars that had marked Bentley's release from Rolls-Royce's benefaction. This Bentley Azure Performance final series is one of 62 ever produced and one of just 15 cars in right hand drive. We are led to believe the car was previously owned by Mr. Duncan, the owner/founder of the 'Henry the hoover' one of which can be found in almost every office in the UK, who owned and cherished this very special Bentley for a decade with the car wore the number plate 'H5NRY' from 2016. Presented in Peacock Blue with a cream quilted leather and French navy blue secondary leather interior and blue roof. This is a lovely low mileage car showing just 15,400 miles since its date of first registration on 27th March 2003. Offered with 17 Main dealer services at HR Owen, the car has within the last 700 miles had over £10,000 lavished on it with service and preparation for sale.General characteristics on the final edition included Bentley-branded brake calipers, a turbo boost gauge on the facia (T series layout), chromed bezels a large red starter button, diamond quilted sports seats and door inserts, a choice of dark stained walnut or black lacquer furnishings and winged Bentley motifs on the waist rails. This is an iconic and rare final series, beautifully presented and very collectable example and viewing is highly recommended.
1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I Roadster (4.2 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:23859The Jaguar E-Type was manufactured between 1961 and 1975 and its combination of good looks, high performance and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960's motoring. A great success for Jaguar, more than 70,000 E-Types were sold during its lifespan. The Series I was introduced, initially for export only, in March 1961 with the domestic market launch coming four months later in July 1961. The cars at this time used the triple SU carburetted, 3.8 litre six-cylinder XK engine from the XK150's. The first 300 cars built had flat floors and external bonnet latches and are considered rare and more valuable. After that, the floors were dished to provide more leg room and the twin hood latches moved to inside the car with the 3.8 litre engine increased to 4.2 litres in October 1964.This left hand drive E-Type 4.2 Series I roadster was imported from the US in 2013, where the owner used the car as his daily driver and took care of everything mechanically. The engine started on the button during our visit to the vendor here in the UK and sounded excellent. However, this E-Type would benefit from some investment to the coachwork as, although the body appears to have little or no corrosion, the paintwork does require some attention. The other option is to leave the exterior as it is and adopt the 'rat' look which is fashionable these days. Supplied with a V5C registration document, this Jaguar E-type roadster could well prove to be an interesting project.
2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom VII Extended Wheelbase Transmission: automaticMileage:25322There is little doubt that this represents the world's most luxurious car, it is the brand that leads where others follow. A journey of pure refinement and luxury cosseted, as you are, in classic Rolls-Royce burr-walnut and immaculate Connolly leather. Synonymous with historic motorsport, Goodwood is also known for one other famous motoring aspect. A cornerstone of automotive excellence in fact. Rolls-Royce have established their new factory there producing the Phantom, unrestrained luxury, flawless build quality and, needless to say, the most desirable executive automobile on the market today. The ride quality is second to none thanks to its advanced air-ride suspension and automatic self-levelling control system. In March 2005, an Extended Wheelbase Phantom was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show, it was 9.8" longer than the standard car. The Phantom EWB was, without a doubt, the new benchmark in terms of luxury and road presence, literally overshadowing the rather dull looking Maybach and making the long wheel-base variants of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW's 7-series and Audi A8 look like glorified taxis.Costing a staggering £350,000 when new and optioned to the highest specifications, this Phantom with Extended Wheelbase has covered just 25,322 miles (at time of photography) from new. It was ordered new by the property company of one of Russia's most wealthy Oligarchs and maintained without regard to cost. It resided underground at Beechwood House in Hampstead, one of London's most exclusive mansions, with the first three owners of the car all associated with the original owners property company. The list of options ordered for the car include individual rear seats, rear fridge and cocktail cabinet with dual decanters and glasses. Rear storage for crystal champagne flutes, rear fold-out foot rests, rear picnic tables with flip-up entertainment screens, extended burr-walnut to the steering wheel and drinks holder cover. The car also sits on new seven-star alloy wheels shod with four recent tyres giving the car a contemporary look. An expansive history file comes with the car detailing the services by Rolls-Royce, London with its most recent in October 2022. It comes with its original twin book-pack, both keys, valet door opener and more. The exterior shows stunning royal blue metallic paintwork with the interior unmarked seashell leather piped in dark blue with the headrests carrying the Rolls-Royce monogram and fold down vanity mirrors fitted for the rear passengers convenience. Traditional highly-figured burr walnut completes the opulent interior. Always garage-kept, the car is pristine inside and out with the story continuing with a simply immaculate under-bonnet area and gleaming V12 engine. This must be one of the highest-specification Extended Wheelbase Phantoms available. It appears new and reportedly drives like it.
1985 Porsche 911 / 930 Turbo Transmission: manualMileage:71800In the early 1970's, Porsche had designs on racing a turbocharged version of the 911 and the Porsche 911 Turbo or 930 was born. It was the fastest production car available on the market. Adding this level of power to the already powerful car created a vehicle that was not for the faint hearted. In skilled hands, however, a 930 will show a clean pair of heels to most of its rivals. It was based around the Carrera RS 3.0, the engine from which was modified, courtesy of turbo technology. Initially, power output was 260bhp but from 1978, it was increased to 300bhp by raising the engine capacity to 3.3 litres as is the case in this instance.First registered on 8th August 1985, this fabulous black on black unmodified genuine C16 UK supplied 930 Turbo is not only stunning but ready to use and enjoy having had thousands lavished on it by our vendor, notably to the bodywork and engine. In addition to the extensive engine work the turbo was rebuilt, a new clutch and gearbox synchros. A recent oil service by Uber GT is coupled to a full engine rebuild by Northway Porsche at 70,000 miles before running in and all of the necessary and recommended work thereafter has been carried out by the renowned Porsche specialists.Evidence of this work is all found within the impressive history file with detailed invoices and comprehensively stamped service booklet. The bodywork is superb with a deep gloss as you would hope with this iconic car and importantly there are no signs of any corrosion, the black leather interior looks original and in keeping with the age of the car with good bolsters and a fine finish. Our vendor informs us that the car drives superbly and the engine pulls as strong as he would hope providing, as it should, a very visceral and engaging experience. The fuel system has had the necessary work to ensure that this 930 drives as you would expect, work includes reconditioned fuel distributor, pressure regulator, along with new coil pack and ignition amplifier. Michelin PS4 tyres were fitted within the last 1,000 miles and it is used regularly to keep the fluids flowing. There is a Blaupunkt Bremen fitted which looks the part of course. Recent work is in excess of £25,000 so you have the confidence you are buying a great car. The 930 Turbo is incredibly collectable, and this example not only has looks to die for but the mechanical confidence to back it up. A true icon and sure to retain its value in the coming years.

V DSG Transmission: automaticMileage:21500Sharing the Volkswagen Group A5 platform, it debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in October 2003 and went on sale in Europe one month later. The GTi comes with Volkswagen's four-cylinder 2.0 litre Turbo engine (FSI) which gives it 197bhp. Transmissions include a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG. The Mk. V is now regarded as probably the best incarnation of the legendary GTi after the original Mk. I of 1976-1983 and is fast acquiring modern classic status. This superb very low mileage example from Japan is presented in Tornado Red with a GTi tartan grey cloth interior. It comes with climate control, Xenon headlights, central locking, cruise control, UK OEM sound system, mph speedometer, odometer in miles and is ULEZ compliant. It also comes with a mileage guarantee certificate, instruction manuals, book pack and a V5C Log book. This is borne out by the photographs of this 2T example. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and without reserve this must be the lowest mileage example available anywhere today.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description this Vespa will not come with an MoT test certificate and will require servicing.
1981 Porsche 924 Turbo Carrera Tribute Transmission: manualMileage:83800Originally starting life as a very respectable 924 Turbo, this example was registered new on 18th March 1981. Having been in storage for some 12 years, this 924 was acquired by a previous owner in 2000 with 81,000 miles on the odometer, with the intention of creating a Carrera GT tribute. He commissioned the work to be undertaken by KSM Engineering who completed the transformation by utilising parts from a vandalised Carrara GT. The car was then treated to an engine rebuild, retrimmed interior, and a respray in Guards Red, finished with a set of Fuchs alloys. The result was a superb looking tribute that was in excellent condition. Later sold in 2005 the new keeper fitted a stainless-steel exhaust and a Mittal electronic distributor. Other notable upgrades to the 924 include a new cambelt, four new tyres, a refurbished fuel tank, new pipes and hoses, new fuel pump, refurbished brake calipers with new pads, new heater and radiator hoses, a new wiring loom, period style DAB radio with hands free connectivity, instruments refurbished, and more recently in 2023 the turbo was refurbished and upgraded to Carrera GT specification by AET Turbos. Our vendor acquired this superb looking example in 2020 in good running and driving condition, however in 2023 the camshaft oil feed fractured, and the result was a bent valve. Having had the engine inspected using a borescope it revealed that one bent valve was the extent of the damage. As such the Porsche is being sold as a non-runner with the above work needing completion before road use. The decision was taken to sell the Porsche as is rather than complete the above work due to the vendors health complications and being in need of a more practical weekend car. Offered with a large history file including service records, invoices, old MoT test certificates and the V5C registration document as well as a number of spares. Once completed, this example will no doubt offer astonishing performance and handling while being a very comfortable long distance tourer.
2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI 'Tommi Makinen' Edition Transmission: manualMileage:83470By mid-1996, Mitsubishi's rallying success began to really reflect in Lancer Evolution sales. The 1996 World Rally Championship season brought Mitsubishi, a new driver, the blisteringly quick Finn named Tommi Makinen, and its first World Rally Championship drivers' title. By 1997, rallying had captured the imagination of people all over the world and Mitsubishi sold 6,000 Evolution IVs in the first three days of its launch! In the latter-half of 1999, Mitsubishi unleashed a special edition to celebrate its favourite drivers four consecutive WRC drivers' titles from 1996-1999, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI 'Tommi Makinen Edition' (TME). The Evolution VI was already a technological tour de force, but the TME had a more responsive titanium turbocharger, uprated and lowered suspension, quicker steering, a different exhaust, a new ECU, beefed-up transfer case internals, a redesigned front bumper for even better cooling and authentic 17" WRC Enkei alloy wheels. Plus, there was a special interior, featuring embossed Recaro seats, a Momo steering wheel with red stitching. The performance upgrades saw the 0-60mph sprint obliterated in 4.4 seconds and a maximum top speed of 150 mph. Power was rumoured to be over 300bhp, rather than the 276bhp stated. This lovely, UK supplied, right hand drive, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI 'Tommi Makinen' Edition, numbered 029, was first registered in April 2001 and has been serviced and maintained since with a fully stamped service book. In 2014, at about 70,000 miles the engine was removed and completely rebuilt, uprated and balanced using a number of racing components including C-Tec tubular exhaust manifold, a Precision 6262 Generation 2 Turbo charger and a new remapped ECU, all at a cost of over £10,000. It was then Dyno'd on a rolling road giving a reading of 570bhp. Finished with silver paintwork and having the correct original black and red chequered Recaro seats, the car is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in August 2024, the handbook pack containing the fully stamped service book and a file with invoices, old MoT test certificates, which include details and invoices relating to the engine rebuild including the Dyno results. These rare, highly collectable, rally homologation icons continue to generate serious interest with the younger collector.
1979 Ford Capri Mk. III 3.0 S X-Pack Transmission: manualMileage:71000The Mk. III Capri was launched in 1978 and with a facelift which included quad headlights and wrap around bumpers that offered a more modern shape and improved dynamics which naturally improved the performance and economy. The Mk. II and Mk. III 3.0 litre X-pack special performance options pack was offered between 1977 and 1980. They used a special glass fibre widebody kit made by Fibresports, larger ventilated front disc brakes (retaining the standard drums at the rear), Bilstein gas-filled rear dampers and front struts, an 'anti-dive kit', a Salisbury limited slip differential and a choice of two performance upgrades for Essex V6 3.0 litre engines. The first upgrade, called the Group 1 pack, boost the power up to 170hp. This engine included larger valves, ported cylinder heads and a Weber 40 DFI5 carburettor and other optional performance upgrades. The second option, referred to as X-Pack, offered 185hp and 195 lb/ft of torque, thanks to three Weber 42 DCNF two-barrel carburettors fed by an electric fuel pump, the same ported cylinder heads and larger inlet and exhaust valves as the GP1. It used special head gaskets even though the standard compression ratio of 9.0:1 and standard camshaft were retained. The X-Pack was also equipped with a wing as standard and it featured unique 7.5 x 13" wheels, for which a special body kit was made. The X-Pack included a free-flowing performance exhaust system with distinctive flattened rear ends. The X-Pack Capri could reach 60mph from standing in 7.4 seconds, a full second faster than the standard 3.0 litre Capri and had a top speed of 130mph. These upgrades could only be bought through and fitted by one of the 80 Ford RS Motorsport dealerships in the UK, or a completely new car could be ordered factory equipped through a Ford Motorsport dealer. It is estimated that little over 100 conversions were made. This lovely 1979 Ford Capri Mk. III 3.0 S has the second upgrade pack, the X-Pack, which includes the uprated engine bored out to 3.1 litres, with triple Weber 42 DCNF carburettors putting the power through a four-speed manual gearbox to a Salisbury limited slip differential. Finished in silver with the original checked patterned Recaro seats with tennis racket head rests and RS steering wheel. It has the Pringal RS wheels, full body kit with RS rear spoiler. This lovely Capri Mk. III is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in September 2024 and a file containing some history and paperwork. A perfect opportunity to purchase the ultimate Ford Capri, an iconic British classic which is expected to appreciate in value over time.
2002 Mercedes-Benz CL500 Transmission: automaticMileage:32600The name CL stands for the German 'Coupé Leicht' or Coupé Light. The CL-Class is based on the S-Class full-size luxury car known at first as the SEC and later S coupé. It was spun off into its own, current name in 1996. The CL continued to follow the same development cycle as the S, although riding on a shorter wheelbase and sharing the same engines albeit with less choice as only the higher-output power trains were offered. CL coupés come equipped with the very latest in Mercedes-Benz technology and, along with the S-Class saloons, the CL coupés received all new technological features. This luxury Mercedes-Benz from Japan gives S-Class equipment with coupé looks and pillarless lines. Powered by a 5.0 litre V8, this epitome of German engineering presents in metallic silver with a black leather interior. The car comes with service history from Mercedes in Japan from new until 2012, since the car was imported to the UK in Late 2015 it has been virtually unused and dry stored with two oil services despite only having covered around 400 miles in the last seven years. It has climate control, cruise control, electric heated seats, electric sunroof, UK odometer and mph reading. Offered to auction without reserve and with very low mileage, this large engine Mercedes-Benz represents a great deal of car and a future classic at a fraction of its original cost.
1961 Bentley S2 Transmission: automaticMileage:78562The Bentley S2 Saloon and Continental models all received a shot in the arm in 1959 when introduced at London Motor Show, the Rolls-Royce/Bentley straight-six engine was replaced by an all-new aluminium V8 unit. The more muscular engine, producing approximately 200bhp, was designed primarily to deliver more torque, but it also allowed the company to deliver a product more in tune with its rivals in export markets. Of course, there were many rumours as to what the origins of the V8 engine were but Rolls-Royce always maintained it was an entirely in-house effort. As before, the Bentley S2 was a badge-engineered Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II and was built to the same standards and luxury. The 6230cc unit installed in the S2 was smoothly powerful and transformed the Bentley into a grand tourer capable of running silently at speed all day long. Power steering was improved in the S2 but the General Motors automatic gearbox was the same as its predecessor and in fact Rolls-Royce continued to use the gearbox until the introduction of the Silver Shadow. This example is presented in silver/grey with a light grey leather interior. Its interior is showing nice patina and this Bentley was in a single long-term ownership prior to the present owner. From the early 1990s to 2023 the car was stored as part of a private collection until it was sold to its present owner earlier this year and due to ill health, the car is now being offered without reserve. It comes with a current V5C registration document and although the car does run and drive, we advise that due to some work needing to be carried out on the brakes, we do not recommend the car be driven away from the auction and in addition to this, owing to the car being in storage for a number of years, recommissioning will be necessary.
2006 Ford Mustang Transmission: automaticMileage:44482The 2007 Ford Mustang continues the legacy of the iconic American muscle car with modern flair. Its striking design pays homage to its heritage while embracing contemporary styling cues. Available in various trims, including the GT with a 4.6 litre V8 engine, it delivers up to 300 horsepower, offering thrilling acceleration. The Mustang's cockpit blends retro elements with modern amenities, creating a comfortable and engaging driving environment. With its unmistakable presence on the road and a balance of power and style, the Ford Mustang remains a symbol of American automotive enthusiasm and a bridge between past and present. This stunning example was manufactured in 2006 and registered in the UK on 26th July 2007. This low mileage Mustang presents wonderfully in Windveil Blue and white bodywork. The stunning looks of this car match the fantastic engine note when fired up and are enhanced with red brake calipers, a rear spoiler, Ford racing decals and body styling by Roush, the internationally acclaimed performance company named after Fords famous engine development engineer Jack Roush. The fitted parts include a Roush sunstrip, bonnet mound, external bonnet fixings, side window louvres and a suspension turret mounted torsion bar over the impressively clean engine bay. This well looked after Mustang has been dry stored and connected to a battery conditioner since being in its current ownership. Offered to auction with a recent MoT test certificate unsurprisingly showing no advisories and a V5C registration document with the only former keeper being Scott Gorham, the guitarist with Thin Lizzy. His signature appears on the inside of the boot lid.
2002 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante Transmission: automaticMileage:70270Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body. At the Geneva Motor Show in 1999, Aston Martin introduced the six litre Cosworth-designed and built V12 engine, developing 420bhp and accelerating from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed limited to 185mph. Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps and restyled the valances to give the car a more aggressive look. This beautiful Aston Martin was originally registered on 22nd December 2002, the possibilities are it was a Christmas present. The Silver Birch coachwork is in great order as is the Parchment interior. The specification includes heated front screen and satellite navigation. We are advised this DB7 drives with no known faults and the Touchtronic gearbox operates as it should. A significant service history accompanies this Aston Martin confirming it has clearly been a very well looked after car. Supplied with a V5C registration document, a current MoT test certificate valid until 27th June 2024 and the original service books, this is certainly one of the prettiest Aston Martin DB7 Volantes we have seen for a while.
2008 Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk. V Transmission: automaticMileage:25180Sharing the Volkswagen Group A5 platform, it debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in October 2003 and went on sale in Europe one month later. This superb very low mileage, averaging less than 2,000 miles per year since new, example from Japan is presented in metallic grey with a GTi tartan grey cloth interior. 2002 Porsche 911 / 996 Carrera 4S Transmission: manualMileage:75372The Porsche 911/996 Carrera 4S is fast becoming one of the most desirable 996 models, given its wide turbo body looks and still remaining very affordable in the modern classic world. It offers a thrilling driving experience and is powered by 3.6 litre flat-six engine, producing a highly respectable 316bhp. This engine was paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed Tiptronic automatic. The car was also fitted with an all-wheel drive system, giving it excellent traction and handling in any conditions. The 996 Carrera 4S has a top speed of 174mph and a 0-60 time of just 4.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest cars in its class. This iconic Carrera 4S 911 is presented in Seal Grey with contrasting leather trim, a non-sunroof manual example of the widebody 996, this 4S is fast becoming a real favourite with collectors being a non turbo, manual widebody example of the first water cooled 911. This particular example presents excellently with little sign of the wear many other 996's suffer from, the body work is clean and the seat bolsters good perhaps due to having had just five previous owners. Recently fully serviced by Porsche Torque, this car has also had a bore scope test and shows no evidence of burning oil. The service booklet shows a further 10 services from Specialist PorschePurchased new on 13th April 2002, some 20 years ago now, this example was specified with an uprated Bose sound system and cost £63,443. South of the iconic Turbo S or GT3 models, this is seen as the true 996 drivers car, the rigidity of a non-sunroof coupé with the iconic 3.6 litre flat-six coupled to a manual gear box which is streaks ahead of the comparable Tiptronic all wrapped up in the turbo widebody.
1999 Maserati Quattroporte IV Evoluzione (3.2 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:23342Maserati launched its first Quattroporte back in 1963 and has continued to make a version of this luxury four-door sports saloon ever since. The fourth-generation model came out in 1994 and was the first Maserati to be produced under new owners Fiat, who had bought this illustrious Italian marque from Alejandro de Tomaso in 1993. An evolution of the Biturbo platform, the Quattroporte IV was styled by Marcello Gandini (of Lamborghini Miura and Countach fame) and featured his signature slashed rear wheel arch design which had first been seen on the Countach and later on the Maserati Shamal. Initially powered by the 280bhp twin-turbo 24-valve 2.8 V6 from the Ghibli, the Quattroporte IV got the flagship Shamal engine in 1996, a 336bhp twin-turbo 3.2 V8 which gave it blistering performance, 0-60 in 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 168mph. A Getrag six-speed manual gearbox came as standard, but a more town-friendly ZF four-speed automatic was also available as an option. This excellent, rare right hand drive, 1999 Maserati Quattroporte IV has only covered 23,400 miles from new which is supported by comprehensive service history. Supplied new by Meridien Maserati in the New Forest, Hampshire to Mr. J Peters of St. Peters Port, Guernsey. In his ownership the car was looked after by Meridien Modena and Doyle Motors Guernsey. In 2015, the car was sold to Dr. D Mitchell and imported into the UK, for the three years that he kept the car it was maintained by Autoshield Maserati, Manchester. The next change of keeper came in 2017/18 when passed to Mr. P Winfield whose preferred repairer was McGrath Maserati. The last recorded service with the cambelts changed was with Autoshield at 23,176 miles in November 2021, this was done for the current owner who purchased the car in June 2021. Since that service the car has covered less than 200 miles. Finished in Netuno Blue metallic with Ivory leather interior, this excellent Maserati Quattroporte IV is supplied with an MoT test certificate which expires in August 2024, the handbook pack which contains the service record book and a file containing invoices from 2015 to the last service. 2015 Ford Mustang 5.0 Litre Transmission: manualMileage:4298The Ford Mustang is an American icon and was originally based on the Ford Falcon. The first production Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan in March 1964 and was introduced to the public at the New York World's Fair on 17th April 1964. It was, and remains, one of the most successful product launches in automotive history, with the original Mustang selling over one million units in its first eighteen months alone. After five previous generations diluting the original 'Pony car', the sixth-generation arrived in 2013 to widespread consideration that Ford has perhaps returned the Mustang to its glory days. The sixth-generation Mustang was unveiled on December 5th, 2013, in Dearborn, Michigan, New York, Los Angeles, California; Barcelona, Spain, Shanghai, China; and Sydney, Australia, with the internal project code name; S-550, with three engine options available: a newly developed 2.3 litre EcoBoost with 310bhp, a 3.7 litre 300bhp V6, or the 5.0 litre Coyote 435bhp V8 with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. A new independent rear suspension system was developed specifically for the new model. It also became the first factory version designed as a right hand drive export model to be sold overseas through Ford new car dealerships in right hand drive markets. After the much beloved TVR brand had finally been bought back by a group of business minded car enthusiasts keen to revive the once glorious TVR name, they set about designing a car that would not only start a new chapter in the brand's history, but also ensure its longevity to hopefully compete with all the other top supercar manufacturers going forward. With this in mind they hired non-other, than the great Formula 1 champion race car designer and designer of the legendary F1 road car, Gordon Murray. A design concept was agreed and a new car penned. As part of the development of the new car, TVR needed a test mule to develop their ECU settings along with a myriad of other electric necessities. The engine the new car was to run was the same as in the newly released Ford Mustang. With that a brand new V8 engined Mustang was ordered from Ford and imported to the UK for Murray to experiment with. Offered here is that car, a unique piece of British automotive history and one which has just been recommissioned after a period in storage with a fresh MoT test certificate put on it. The car retains interesting features such as the additional wiring loom installed by Gordon Murray Automotive for added sensors and data collection as well as an emergency power cut red button in the cabin! Ready to be enjoyed, this 5.0 litre brute of a car is reported to run and drive very well and to be quite rapid making a fantastic noise.Supplied with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate valid until August 2024 and import papers along with correspondence from Gordon Murray Automotive to the DVLA. Don't miss the opportunity to own a piece of history from the return of the UK's most outlandish car brand!Guide price £18,000 - £28,000Interested parties should note that that on start-up there is an fault code that reads ‘Misfire during start up’. No misfire is actually detected and the car runs and drives as it should. Once started the fault code can be cleared but returns upon its next cold start. This is something to do with the development wiring Gordon Murrey Automotive installed confusing the ECU on start up.
1998 Honda Integra Type R Transmission: manualMileage:65000In 1993 the Integra was launched as a 'fairly vanilla' coupé and in 1995 Honda introduced the world to the B18C Vtec engine and the Integra Type R (R for racing) was born. Not only did the car feature a red line just shy of 9000rpm and over 100bhp per litre, but every element of the cars performance was looked at. Anything unnecessary was removed, so out went air conditioning, sound deadening and even thinner glass and carpets were added to save weight, while elements to improve the performance were added. With a seam welded chassis, strengthened suspension mounting points, bespoke suspension and Recaro SR seats. The car received a modest front spoiler, rear wing and light weight alloy wheels and a titanium gear knob. It was three years later that the Type R made its way to UK shores with only 500 cars allocated and a slightly different frontend with round rather than square head lights. The driving experience of a Honda Integra Type R is ranked as one of the best of any vehicle. When the car ventures beyond 6000rpm the Vtec opens up and the modest four-cylinder engine changes with a soundtrack ranking along with cars with much higher cylinder counts. The gear change is positive, rifle bolt fast and with a 50/50 balanced chassis the feedback and grip are astonishing especially when you consider the car runs on 15"195 width tyres. The below quote from Richard Meaden from Evo issue 95 sums it up 'It's a car as sweet and all-consuming as any I've experienced at any price, and as pure and focused in its own way as any Porsche RS. Forget the accolade of greatest front-wheel drive car. The Integra Type R ranks as one of the truly great drivers' cars of any kind'.This is a very rare opportunity to purchase a piece of modern motoring history that is also fit to be driven as intended. This UK registered Championship White Honda Integra Type R DC2 was purchased on 8th August 1998 by a retired Honda enthusiast, who owned it until our vendor purchased in October 2021. He informs us the car was tremendous but there was plenty to do to make it better, the clutch was replaced not long after at a reputable local garage who he instructed to do further work such as replacing bushes, engine mounts, deep cleaning then undersealing a geo setup and more. Recently the car has benefited from a full (expensive) service and inspection at a Honda dealer that included OE brake discs and pads, new calipers all round, in-tank fuel filter and platinum spark plugs. Professionally detailed, polished and ceramic coated within the last year and it looks stunning. No detail has been left unturned, even a $100 plus invoice for the unobtainium brand new OE UKDM front badge from Arizona was sourced. All parts have been replaced with Honda OE where available or the best match if not. The only modification is a fantastic Fujitsubo straight through exhaust setup with RM-01A exhaust and SuperEx manifold (JASMA approved, which means it's not stupidly loud or offensive and meets stringent Japanese standards). When the VTEC kicks in there is now a noticeable pop with this setup. It has been kept in a Hamilton Classic's 'Cair-o-Port' tent inside a garage to stave off corrosion. Importantly, this example has not been left standing for ages, both current and previous owner have driven it very few miles, but its wheels have been kept turning each year. The car has an MoT test certificate valid until September 2024 and is ready to drive away in fantastic condition. All paperwork and invoices are available alongside the original invoice with dealer-fitted CD changer and A/C is present, along with the unopened red key.Recently only run on E5 fuel and more recently switched from Shell V-Power to Esso 99 as the Esso fuel has 0% ethanol. Overall, the condition is superb inside and out. Even the OE stereo head unit and six CD changer works as it should. There cannot be many chances left to buy a car like this, the sublime gearshift and free revving nature of the engine is something a modern, forced induction car will never be able to emulate.
1992 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II Limousine Transmission: automaticMileage:130895Before David Plastow left his senior position at Rolls-Royce following the take-over of Vickers plc, he had been responsible for a series of models, amongst which was the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit. It was unveiled in October 1980 as a replacement for the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. The coachwork of the Silver Spirit had been designed at the in-house styling centre by Fritz Feller and gave the impression of being stretched in comparison with the bodies of the previous generation. Direct comparison, however, showed only small differences. The new models had slightly grown in length and width; height had been cut a little, although the styling was more modern than that of its predecessor. The interior was dominated by the expected combination of fine wood and sumptuous leather and it was also the first Rolls-Royce to be fitted with a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy. This imposing Rolls-Royce is an extended limousine example and features three rows of seats and six doors. This impressive Silver Spirit was registered in January 1992 and has been mainly used by an independent funeral directors. The world-famous Rolls-Royce 6.75 litre engine providing the perfect balance of pace and grace. We are informed by the vendor that this coachbuilt car completed a recent journey from the Midlands with ease. When tested the car fired up on request and the air conditioning blew cold. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate.
1972 MGB GT Mk. II Transmission: automaticMileage:74276The MGB was a revelation to the British sports car industry moving away, as it did from body-on-frame models to a more modern monocoque system of construction. This resulted in welcome weight savings, reduced manufacturing costs and far better handling. The sporting coupé, designed by Pininfarina, was only offered in GT form after its sister 'roadster' variant launched 1962. Originally powered by a three-bearing crank engine, this was swiftly replaced by a five-bearing unit some two years into production. Swift performance figures, a sporting pedigree and refined styling lines. The interior was very roomy in fact with space allegedly for four and a large rear compartment, with if the rear seats were folded down, allowed for a very roomy luggage platform. The options list was equally interesting with a heater costing £14, overdrive at £60 and seatbelts at £3 each!Owned for the last 10 years by one man, an early full engine-out restoration took place under his guidance. The new red coachwork has clearly been very well restored and, at the same time, the engine and automatic gearbox was stripped down and rebuilt. The dashboard has been replaced with an upgraded burr-walnut unit which sets of the lustrous paintwork well. A Webasto sunshine roof has been fitted alongside a modern Blaupunkt stereo, both items combine to create a fun driving atmosphere".Interested parties should note that in March 2007 this car was subject to a category D insurance loss.
1977 Morgan Plus 8 Transmission: manualMileage:66236The Morgan Plus 8 began production in 1968 and continued all the way through until 2004. The iconic Plus 8 returned in 2012 for a further six years, ending production again in 2018. Its iconic design remained largely unchanged throughout its life, lightweight construction, and powerful V8 engine. The Plus 8 is built on a steel chassis with a handcrafted aluminium body and Morgan's famous ash wooden frame. The Plus 8 is powered by the tried and tested 3.5 litre Rover V8 engine, which provides exhilarating acceleration, aided further by the immensely low weight of around 830kg. It also features a five-speed manual transmission. This particular example presents beautifully in dark green with a beige leather interior. The interior looks amazing, having been retrimmed in 2021 at the cost of £4,100 by an ex-Morgan employee, who completed the work exactly how it would have been done by Morgan themselves. The bodywork looks equally as impressive, it isn't freshly painted to concours standard, but it certainly doesn't require any attention. The car is supplied with full weather gear, including side screens, tonneau cover and hood. The engine is where the magic happens on this example, having been fitted with Viper fast road camshafts, Rhoades lifters, gas flowed heads, Hedman manifolds and four-barrel Holley carburettor. Our vendor reports this car is very fast and would make an excellent hill climb or sprint car, whilst remaining very useable on the road. The car was dyno tested at 284bhp, offering a strong improvement over the original engine. The car comes with a good amount of paperwork with a detailed handwritten record of works carried out between 2003 and 2011 and a strong amount of invoices detailing various works carried out over the years. Our vendor is selling his beloved Morgan mainly to free up some space in his workshop. This is a fantastic example of the mighty V8 powered Morgan, which represents great value for money when compared with its rivals of the day.
2015 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Transmission: paddleMileage:19489The Lamborghini Huracán, Spanish for 'hurricane' (a famous fighting Bull) replaced the previous V10 offering, the Gallardo. The LP 610-4 designation comes from the car having 610 metric horsepower and four-wheel drive, while LP stands for 'Longitudinale Posteriore', which refers to the longitudinal mid-rear engine position. Revealed online in December 2013, making its worldwide debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show it was released in the market in the second quarter of 2014. The Huracán maintains the 5.2 litre naturally aspirated Audi/Lamborghini V10 engine with an additional 0.2 litres compared to the Gallardo, tuned to generate a maximum power output of 602bhp. 2006 Bentley Azure Transmission: automaticMileage:13435The Bentley Azure was launched in 1995 and based on the platform of the Continental R coupé which had been launched in 1991. Volkswagen purchased Bentley from Vickers in 1998, three years into production of the Mk.I model. Volkswagen executives decided to keep the then current Azure in production until 2003. Production of the new Azure began for the 2006 model year. Now based on the Arnage platform, power came from the then current variant of the Bentley turbocharged V8 making 450hp and 645 lb ft of torque. The new Arnage was designed for the BMW 4.4-litre engine. However, due to strained relationships between the two manufacturers, Volkswagen was forced to significantly re-work the original 6.75-litre Rolls-Royce/Bentley V8 engine in 2001, including a switch from the old single-turbo system to a modern twin-turbocharger set-up, reducing turbo-lag and increasing horsepower output. A new, model-specific six-speed automatic transmission fed power to the rear wheels. Bentley claimed a 0 to 60 time of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 168 mph, slightly faster than the previous edition and still very good for a vehicle of this size and weight. This 2006 Bentley Azure was registered new on 24th October. Having covered a mere 13,435 miles from new which is confirmed by the service record and the MoT history. Finished in a wonderful colour combination and a connolly leather interior complemented with piano black veneers, this lovely convertible is supplied with a V5C registration document, various old MoT test certificates, invoices, and the service book pack. The Bentley Azure is a Grand Tourer offering enormous style and luxury, whether you are going to the shops or travelling to the Côte d'Azur, this low mileage Bentley Azure is just about the perfect vehicle. Interested parties should note that the private registration number '1 YYG' is being retained by the current vendor and an age-related plate will be issued on a successful sale.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description, the service booklet has been lost. However, the history file includes five service records, the most recent of which was completed in 2021 costing circa £3,000. Also included in the history file is a record of 13 MoT test certificates completed from new.
1992 Porsche 928 GTS A Transmission: automaticMileage:4400When Porsche launched the 928 GTS in 1992, they knew it would be the last evolution of 928. Porsche did much to enhance performance and refinement, knowing that its luxury flagship would leave memories with Porsche enthusiasts. For the GTS, Porsche increased the engine capacity to 5397cc and added a catalytic convertor, with eight balance weights instead of six to enhance smoothness. This DOHC engine produced 350bhp and enabled a top speed of more than 170mph. The GTS engine was smoother and more flexible than its predecessor and was quieter and easier to drive. Changes to the chassis included a wider rear track and larger brakes. Externally, the GTS differed from S4 with its new style of alloy wheels, flared rear arches and a body-coloured rear spoiler. What Porsche wasn't advertising when the 928 was released was the price; it was among the most expensive cars on the road at the time. This severely hampered sales despite the model's high competency and long standard equipment list. Porsche discontinued the GTS model that year after shipping only 2,904 in total which in 1994 was a problem; in 2022 however, it has resulted in a rare and incredibly desirable Porsche. This Midnight Blue metallic Porsche 928 GTS has a mere 4,400 miles on its odometer and has spent much of its life as part of the Sultan of Brunei's car collection. With a close connection to the Sultan of Brunei's family, the car was acquired in 2017. It has recently been subject to a significant £20,000 no expense spared recommissioning over an 18-month period finishing in August of this year by Porsche Specialists RGA which included all electrics before the engine received full cambelt replacement and a full service and MoT test certificate, all resulting in the car we have offered today. We understand when under Brunei ownership, the front wings and bonnet were resprayed due to sun damage but since then the car has had the restoration process to bring it to a fine standard today. The interior is in lovely condition, as you might expect from a car with so few miles indeed time-warp condition. The GTS has been the collectors' choice of the 928 range and continues to appreciate dramatically with a well-known film car selling in excess of $2 million in 2021, subsequently this example is estimated at an incredible price point. Offered with full detailed invoices for the work completed by Porsche Specialists RGA and Photographic proof of works carried out during the recommissioning coupled to a recent MoT test certificate until September 2024, this UK registered example is ready to find a new home with a discerning car collector, or Porsche enthusiast especially with the incredible mileage and HJH Royal ownership.
