Mostly silver, comprising; a Victorian napkin ring, Birmingham 1864, another napkin ring, with engine turned decoration, Sheffield 1872, six tea knives, with plated blades and with loaded silver handles, two teaspoons, a mustard spoon, a salt spoon, a Middle Eastern style oil lamp, with a conical foot and two sauce sauceboats, with floral and scroll embossed decoration, with scrolling handles, probably circa 1800 (extensively repaired).
A Victorian silver oval hinged bangle, in a buckle and strap design, Birmingham 1883, a rattle (one bell detached but present), a silver rectangular cigarette case, with engine turned decoration, Birmingham 1924, a silver oval lid, a quantity of silver jewellery and a quantity of costume jewellery.
A French ormolu mounted ebonised striking eight day Portico clock, mid 19th century, with moulded surround to entablature, supported by four columns with ormolu capitals, the stepped base raised on bun feet, cast bezel to silvered Roman dial with engine turned centre and signed `GUYERDET AINE PARIS` blued steel Breguet hands, the twin barrels movement with conforming makers stamp to back plate, anchor escapement and count wheel strike on bell, no pendulum or key, 43.5 cm high (a.f.).
A William IV silver gilt rectangular snuff box by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1834, engine turned overall, the cover with a roundel engraved with a crest, engraved inside the cover ‘Presented to R. D. Smyth Esqr. Royal Scots Greys by Sir W. S. R. Cockburn, Bart. of that Ilk- 1848’, 7.7cm (3in) wide, 111g (3.55 oz) The crest of SMYTH of Gloucestershire and Lincolnshire. Sir William Sarsfield Rossiter Cockburn, M.A., was the seventh baronet. By his wife, Anne, eldest daughter of the Rev. Francis Coke of Lower Moor, Herefordshire, he had three sons, the eldest, Devereux Plantagenet (1828-1850), late of the Royal Scots Greys, 2nd Dragoons, died aged 21 and has an unusual sculptured tomb in the Protestant cemetery in Rome.
