A vintage Norwegian Aksel Holmsen silver guilloche enamelled butterfly brooch pin. The brooch in the form of a butterfly with its wings outstretched having engine turned detailing below blue & white enamel to form the wings & body & having black enamel eyes to a safety clasp verso. Marked to the back 'Norway - Sterling - 925 S' together with makers mark for Aksel Holmsen. Total weight approx 8.1g. Measures approx 4.7 x 2.5cm.

The first having a central cartouche marked out in wire work boarders containing etched & moulded foliate & floral design to an engine turned ground & further prill / granulated details to the rim.
