Mid-20th century AD. A pair of engine valves recovered from the wreck of the B17F Flying Fortress 42-29540, mounted in a wooden base with brass plaque 'Flying Fortress / Winchelsea'. Recovered by the vendor from the undersea crash site, off Winchelsea, East Sussex, UK, 1980s. The valves were recovered from the crash wreckage of the B17F which ditched in the Channel off Winchelsea, Sussex, on 6th September 1942. The aircraft was part of 91st Bomb Group, 323rd Squadron, and left Bassingbourne airfield on a mission to bomb Stuttgart, Germany. Cloud cover caused the formation to break up; some aircraft ran out of fuel on the return or crash landed. Aircraft 42-29540 encountered flak and sustained damage from fighter (FW190) attack, losing two engines and shedding fuel. The aircraft ditched in the Channel and some crew members were picked up by a British minesweeper. 1.6 kg, 17cm including stand (6 3/4"). Fine condition.

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle had a speedo change at 55,000 miles and not as previously stated.   - 3 previous keepers and current ownership since 1996 - 69,000 miles with documented speedo change at 51,000 miles - Offered with service history and MOT'd into May 2016 Launched in 1975, Jaguar's XJ-S was never envisaged as a direct replacement for the E-Type. More of a soporific grand tourer than an out-and-out sports car, it was designed to seamlessly blur borders rather than blast down back roads. Introduced at the 1988 Geneva Motor Show, the long awaited full convertible version featured a reinforced floorpan, frameless doors and sophisticated electric hood (complete with heated glass rear window). Underpinned by the same all round independent coil-sprung suspension and power assisted rack and pinion steering as its fixed head coupe siblings, the soft-top came with anti-lock brakes as standard. Priced at some £40,000, a waiting list was quick to form. Finished in the desirable colour combination of Grey bodywork with Grey leather upholstery, this particular example reportedly underwent a documented speedo change at 51,000 miles and now shows 18,000 miles on the replacement instrument (giving a total of 69,000). Understood to have had three previous keepers prior to entering the current ownership in 1996, 'H2 BNC' is powered by Jaguar's renowned 5.3 litre V12 engine allied to automatic transmission and offered for sale with service history, MOT certificate valid into May 2016 and original handbooks. Good, unmolested XJ-Ss are now keenly sought and increasing in value.

- Built on 18/12/1963 as a Giulia Sprint GT and sold new in Catania, Italy - Later converted to RHD and 1750 GTV appearance whilst resident in Malta - Replacement Alfa 'twin-cam' engine, uprated brakes and MOT'd till Oct 2016 Additional Info: According to a letter on file from the Alfa Romeo Owners' Club, chassis AR600753 was built as a Giulia Sprint GT (Type 105 02) on 18th December 1963. Sold new some thirteen days later in Catania - an ancient port city on Sicily's east coast - the four-seater subsequently migrated to Malta where it was converted to right-hand drive and visually updated to resemble a younger 1750 GTV model. The current Alfa Romeo 'twin-cam' engine is a replacement unit that is thought to have been fitted around the same time. It is fed by twin Weber 40 DCOM carburettors and so is presumed to be of larger capacity (perhaps 1779cc or 1962cc?) than the 1570cc powerplant which the factory originally installed. Initially finished in Space Light Blue (traces of which are seemingly visible on the rear bulkhead), the Coupe has since been repainted Red and now presents as an older restoration. H&H assisted in the Alfa Romeo's UK registration and it is now offered for sale with a V5C and MOT certificate valid until October 4th 2016.

- 5 litre V8, automatic transmission, Holley carburettor with ram air scoop - 41,138 recorded miles and MOT'd into July 2016 - UK Supplied, rare RHD example and 4 previous keepers The phenomenal success of the '64 Mustang is engrained in American automotive folklore, and while McQueen's Detective Frank Bullitt immortalised the '68 Fastback variant, the fact is that by the end of that decade the model had grown too big and sales had dropped away. So in 1970 Lee Iacocca ordered the development of an all-new smaller pony car and, in a fortunate piece of timing, the newcomer arrived coincident with the oil crisis - 'the right car at the right time' - and over one million examples were sold during its four year reign. The Mustang II on offer is a 1976 Liftback model that's equipped with the top of the range 4.9-litre (302ci) V8 engine, the intake to the Holley carburettor of which is aided by a 'ram air' scoop. Finished in Bronze and trimmed in a mix of Bronze and Black, 'ORH 152P' is a rare UK-supplied right-hand drive example that's had five keepers to date, the most recent of which has retained the fast Ford since 2010. He is now selling it complete with a sales invoice from 1977, Haynes manual, club magazine, and collection of old invoices and MOTs, plus one valid to July 14th 2016.

Upgraded for its new role, the light commercial was apparently fitted with the engine / gearbox assembly and front disc brakes from a 1984 Citroen 2CV Saloon (plus other parts). Treated to a special paint job together with 'Gibraltar Confectionary' stickers, the 2CV also gained a wooden steering wheel, roof height cabin cooling fan, special seat covers, bespoke stainless steel bumpers and Citroen GS Pallas wheel trims. Understood to have been sparingly used by Mr Shacaluga and to have not formed part of his day-to-day delivery fleet, the Van was imported to the UK during 2007 and entered the current ownership some six years later. Titled as a 1984 vehicle, the light commercial is said to be underpinned by a genuine Citroen chassis and to have had its paintwork refreshed by the vendor. Rating the 2CV's engine, gearbox, electrical equipment, interior trim, bodywork and paintwork as being in 'very good / excellent' condition, the seller also informs us that it has benefited from a gearbox overhaul and replacement steering rack (the latter installed about twelve months ago). - Offered for restoration, understood to be complete - Hotchkiss V Twin engine - Accompanied by V5 document Previously known for their side arms and bicycles, B.S.A. had begun motorcycle manufacture in 1910 and by the late 1920's they were the largest motorcycle producers in Britain, if not the world. It was from their factory at Small Heath that a new car emerged and it was a three wheeler designed by F.W. Hulse using the Hotchkiss 1021cc twin cylinder engine. It was a competitor to the Morgan three wheeler and although less sporting it was more comfortable and easier to drive. The model's popularity resulted in the factory soon producing some 2,000 examples per annum. Within a few years, BSA was offering a whole range of front-engined, front-wheel drive three-wheeled mircocars to suit all requirements, from a Sports model to a Family one with child seats in the rear. Prices ranged from around £100 to £125 and BSA three-wheeler production continued sometime after the introduction of its four-wheeled Scout model of 1934. This example is understood to date from around 1933 and is offered for restoration, the vendor advising it is basically complete. Powered by a Hotchkiss V Twin, this interesting project is UK registered and accompanied by a Swansea V5 document.

- Recently imported from America and now UK registered and MOT'd - Left hand drive, red leather, recently repainted, and engine serviced - Reportedly 'very good' (interior, gearbox) to 'excellent' (body, engine, electrics) The 190SL was introduced in 1955, the year Mercedes-Benz swept all before it on the Mille Miglia with the 300SLR, and the graceful new two-door convertible grand tourer was sold alongside the road-going version of the SLR, the 300SL, whose styling it strongly resembled. In fact, the underpinnings of the two cars were quite different and, while the 300SL had a purpose-built tubular spaceframe (W198), its smaller sibling was built on a shortened version of the 'Ponton' saloon (W121) platform, which was of a monocoque construction. The 190SL also boasted an all-new engine, an over-square SOHC straight-four unit of 1897cc that produced some 105bhp, which was sufficient to propel the car to a maximum speed of 112mph. The engine was coupled to a four-speed manual gearbox operated by a lever between the seats. The suspension comprised double wishbones and coil springs at the front and a coil-sprung swing axle at the rear. Steering was by recirculating ball and braking by power-assisted drums all round. Built to the highest standards and among the quickest comparable cars of the time, the 190SL featured a well-appointed cockpit, notable comfort for its occupants and relatively generous luggage space. Under the circumstances, even the steep asking price did nothing to deter purchasers. The convertible could be ordered with or without a removable hard top. There was also the option of a third seat that was placed transversely behind the front ones and big enough to carry an adult. The 190SL continued in production until 1963, when both it and the 300SL were replaced by the Pagoda. By this time over 25,000 190SLs had been built. This example of Mercedes-Benz's beautiful 190SL was imported from America by the vendor in 2015 and was immediately subjected to a repaint, the works of which were still to be completed during our photography; the chrome sill strips will be fitted before the sale. The vendor states that the paint is "new" and the body that it was applied to is "excellent" and features "great shut lines". The engine is also described as being "excellent" and reportedly features "great oil pressure" and we are informed that it will have a service before the sale. With UK registration having recently been granted by the DVLA this beautiful Mercedes-Benz just awaits a new owner and the summer motoring season ahead.
