A 2½" Gauge Live Steam Coal-fired 'Southern Maid' 0-6-0 Locomotive and Tender, built to the LBSC ('Curly' Lawrence) design as published in 'Model Engineer' pre-war, this Locomotive evidently commenced in the 1930's and later finished by Bert Mead, the model featuring twin outside cylinders with inside valve motion and lever reversing, axle-driven water pump, hand pump to Tender, whistle, blower, regulator, water gauge and pressure gauge (by Whitney, London), the engine appears never to have been painted, complete with fireirons, pump handle and a small display plaque from North London Model Engineers, F-G, No Boiler History

An Original Great Western Railway 'Saint' Class Locomotive Nameplate 'Talisman', iron and brass, from locomotive no 2989, built in 1905 initially as a 4-4-2 for comparison with the French compound Atlantics, later converted to a standard 4-6-0 and running until September 1948; the counterpart nameplate is believed to be at the 'Steam' Museum, Swindon; the nameplate offered is in good condition with polished lettering and some repainting to painted areas, and comes with a packet containing copies of the National Archive records relating to this engine
