GENUINE BARN FIND 1954 MG TF 1250 LDK 5 understood from the VIN to be in original condition, presented in MG red with synthetic wings (these appear to be replacement items supplied by Brown & Gammons Ltd), tan canvas hood, tonneau cover and front and rear side screens. The engine is believed to be the original 1250 XPAG unit but this is not verified. Currently MOT exempt as a historic vehicle and SORN with DVLA however from records we see the last MOT was issued on 2nd June 2011 at 27878 miles, current displayed mileage 27904. We have the V5c but no key. Sold with the car a large collection of MG ephemera including service books, MG club magazines, MG automobilia, parts receipts/catalogues etcProvenance: deceased estate Pembrokeshire, consigned via our Carmarthen Office Condition: dry stored and unused for over a decade. The visible bodywork is showing signs of surface rust primarily to the bonnet hoods and petrol tank. One of the wings is damaged, as pictured. The chromework is generally in poor condition as are the wire wheels. The interior looks mostly complete and original, the seats look to be in good condition with no tears, wear or damage. The carpet has had (rodent?) damage in places. The hood and sidescreens are complete although missing one or two fasteners. Mechanically the car is untested however we can report that the engine will turn with the crank handle and the car rolls, but there is no hydraulic pressure to the brakes, and neither does the handbrake work. The clutch is free. A cursory inspection of the chassis looks positive however this would require professional/enthusiast examination.Viewing and inspection is actively encouraged. The vehicle is dry-stored in our Cardiff premise. In summary, the car, whilst clearly suffered from extended storage, looks to be largely original and complete and represents a good opportunity enter the vintage MG club. Naturally this is 'sold as seen' with no warranty offered or implied.
