A Scarce Morris 1000 Junior Pedal Car, no. 7 of 56 produced by ‘The Morris Minor Centre of Bath, modelled on the Austin J 40 pedal car produced in the 1950’s. Black composite body, red padded seat, pneumatic tyres, hubcaps, a steel chassis, opening boot and bonnet revealing dummy engine, 6 volt battery to operate working lights and horn. Complete with two Morris Junior brochures, a bill of purchase and a certificate stating this Morris 1000 junior was one of three produced and displayed at the Earls Court Motor Fair in 1991. Expect the Unexpected: A rare Lavochkin V-751 experimental flying laboratory 1960 titanium, stainless steel and aluminium 10.9 metres long This is a two-stage rocket with an initial solid fuel rocket booster which burned for four seconds and a second stage liquid fuel engine that burnt for a further 22 seconds. This enabled the craft to reach altitudes of 66,000 feet and speeds of Mach 3, the range could be up to 22 miles. This rocket is part of the S-75 family of rockets which were developed in the late 1950’s in response to combat America’s long range bombers. The S-75 and its many variants provided much of the air defence of the Soviet Union and numerous other countries which adopted it. Perhaps its most famous moment was the shooting down of Gary Powers U-2 spy plane in 1960.

A medal winning model of a ‘Spen100’ horizontally opposed ‘Flat four’ petrol OHC engine, built by the late Mr Bill Connor of Maidstone, with fuel tank and twin polished copper exhausts. Mounted on a plinth 56cm high x 37cm wide. Overall height to top of fuel tank 37cm.This model won a silver medal at The Model Engineering Exhibition London in 1995 and a Bronze medal at the same event in 1998. Medals and certificates are being sold with this lot.
A model of a Stuart Turner D10 vertical marine engine, having metal clad cylinders supported on trunk guides with eccentric driven steam valves from crank with bearings, brass oiler cups, disc flywheel and copper steam supply pipes. A well-engineered model of a 2 inch scale 6 nhp Durham and North Yorkshire Agricultural Traction engine, built to drawings by John Haining. The silver soldered multi-tube copper boiler having fittings including water sight glass, steam pressure gauge, regulator, direction control quadrant with lever, machined gears, safety valve, clack, eccentric driven water pump from crank, speed governor, open crank with brass oiler cups and 20cm diameter spoked flywheel. The model finished in traditional green and black livery with straked back wheels.Length 76cm. Width 38cm. Height to top of chimney 57cm.Boiler History: Original boiler test certificate from Kingswood Boilers of Bristol. Certificate Number 4344. Boiler serial number KB02027, Original hydraulic test pressure 170 psi. Working pressure 85 psi. A gold medal winning ½ size working model of a Matchless G50 motor cycle engine, built by the late Mr Bill Connor of Maidstone and mounted on wooden plinth 38cm x 25cm. Overall height 35cm.This model won a gold medal at The Model Engineering Exhibition 2002 and The Edgar Westbury Memorial Trophy 2002. The gold medal and certificates are being sold with the model.
An exhibition standard model of a live steam steeple engine, built from Clarkson of York's castings and having single cylinder supported on four architectural turned columns with capitals and moldings, shaped cast side supports with vertical guides, outside steam chest with linkage to eccentric mounted on the crank with bevel gears and shafting to speed governor. The 24cm spoked flywheel with split bronze bearings and brass oiler cups. The model finished in traditional green paintwork with polished bright-work and supported on stained wooden plinth. 26cm x 22cm. Total height 48cm.
