William IV silver table snuff box of rectangular form, with reeded decoration and rococo scroll borders, hinged cover with similar borders, engine-turned decoration and vacant cartouche (Birmingham 1834), maker - W. P. All at approximately 6.5ozs, 12.5cm overall width CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Surface wear, minor denting and scratching commensurate with age and use. Engine-turned decoration on cover is worn and cartouche may have had engraving removed. Cover slightly distorted at front right corner. Interior gilding slightly worn and dirty. Marks slightly rubbed but legible
Gentlemen's Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Taille wristwatch with manual-wind mechanical movement, the rectangular dial with engine turned decoration subsidiary seconds, blue enamel arabic numerals and chapter ring, in stainless steel case on Jaeger-LeCoultre brown crocodile leather strap with deployment clasp. The case numbered 2141089, 270862 CONDITION REPORT Very good condition. Currently running and would appear to keep good time, although we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the timekeeping. Light surface scratches to the case. Dial perfect. Glass perfect. Deployment clasp in good working order and the original leather strap also in very good condition with minor signs of wear commensurate with age. We are not able to open the case to access the movement. No box or papers
1954 Bentley R Type saloon Registration No WSJ 389, Chassis No B51ZX, six cylinder 4,650cc engine, automatic transmission. This elegant and desirable Bentley Standard Steel Sports saloon is traditionally finished in black over shell grey with grey leather upholstery. It has been well maintained by its engineer owner for the last ten years including an engine overhaul in 2010. It is described as in good overall condition including an original interior with a lovely patination. It drives extremely well and as a result has been regularly driven to many RREC and BDC events. It is complete with its original tools including a complete underseat small tool tray. It has a large history file detailing service history, MOTs and copies of the original build documents. Although now MOT and tax exempt it has a current MOT until April 2016. A very usable and stylish gentleman's sports saloon

(1) R. J. W. Appleton is pictured in several of the albums in adjacent lots as driver present at various race meetings.
