An early 20th century 9ct gold retractable pencil. The engine-turned case, suspended from a stylised coiled snake. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1913. Length when open 8cms. Weight 7.6gms. Overall condition good. Minor surface wear and light scratches in keeping with general wear. Mechanism appears to be in working order. Light indentations to the inner case.
A late Victorian silver candlestick by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co., London 1895, with a circular beaded sconce, an urn shaped capital, a tapering stem and on a canted square base, embossed with foliate swags, ram`s heads and urns, 19.5cm high, loaded; another late Victorian candlestick by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co., London 1900, 12cm high, loaded; a rectangular engine turned cigarette case by Frederick Field, Birmingham 1933, 11.5cm long; and a pair of Edwardian knife rests, London 1903, with twisted rests and pierced ends, 8cm long, 254g (8.15 oz) gross weighable. Ltd., London 1912, with a beaded border, pierced body, waisted stem and on a conforming circular moulded spreading foot, 14.5cm diameter; a Victorian shaped circular dish by Henry Wilkinson & Co., Sheffield 1849, with a pierced foliate scroll border and engraved with a crest, 18.5cm diameter; and a cigar box by Harman Brothers, Birmingham 1954, the engine turned cover engraved with `D.S.R`, the body engraved with a presentation inscription, 17cm long, with a wood liner, 338g (10.9 oz) gross weighable. Vintage Solid Silver Pill Box, Wonderful rectangular box. The lid, base & sides are engine turned with raised foliate borders and large blank cartouche on the lid. The lid is hinged to a silver gilt interior. Hallmark Padget & Braham Ltd. Birmingham 1979. 9x5x2cm. 142 grams. In excellent condition.
