A 1965 Geest 3 hp Motor Truck MT2/3, registration number HVK 332C, chassis number 225335, maroon/grey. Here is something you don't see every day! A motor truck built by Geest Industries Limited Spalding, Lincolnshire. They were originally built to transport banana crates around their warehouses, but they became commercially available and sold to warehouse operators and small estates. This rare Motor Truck is the larger 3 hp version and has been restored by our vendor. Finished in traditional maroon, it features the 256cc Villiers engine with three speed and reverse gears. It would make an ideal vehicle for a small estate or small holding, and will be offered for auction with an original Geest wooden crate, handbooks and brochure. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration

Los 17

A 1972 Fiat 500L, registration number YTA 223L, blue. This charming Fiat 500L has been in the current ownership since 1989. Whilst under his care the Fiat has been upgraded with the engine and gearbox from a 1972 Fiat 126. Further upgrades and works of note carried out include electronic ignition which he says has transformed the starting and reliability; twin Ansa exhaust; Spax adjustable shock absorbers; the inner front panel and battery box have been replaced; and Fiat 126 wheels and brakes have been fitted. The tiny Fiat is finished in dark blue with an original red vinyl interior and Webasto style full length sunroof. The Fiat is offered for sale with a history file containing original handbooks and workshop manuals, receipts, past MOTs and a large quantity of useful and hard to obtain spares. Now reluctantly for sale due to recent lack of use, this Fiat is on the button and ready to be enjoyed by the next lucky owner. V5, V5C, ***MOT to April 2019***, tax exempt See illustration

Los 20

A 1955 Ford Consul DeLuxe Mk I convertible, registration number EKS 654, chassis number E0TA168800, black. In current ownership since 1960, this now extremely rare (believed to be one of only 25 survivors) Ford convertible was originally purchased by Tweeddale Motors Kelso and was registered on 5th May 1955. There would be four owners prior to our vendor purchasing the Consul from Bass Rock Garage in 1960 for £430. Finished in black with a dark red leather interior and maroon hydroelectric hood which lowers the top from the coupé de ville position. In our vendors ownership the Consul was used as daily transport (always garaged) until 1970 including a stint of work delivering the post during the 1971 postal strike where it became the second car to a Wolseley 110 and had a more sedate life. The Consul has been well maintained over the last 58 years with repairs being carried out as necessary including the installation of a new old stock engine in 1981 (approximately 25,000 miles ago), new Wilton carpets and chassis repairs. The Consul will be offered for auction with a comprehensive history file and some spares and offers the opportunity to purchase a very rare Ford. RF60, V5, V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations

A 1964 Land Rover Series II A 88 inch SWB pick-up with tilt, registration number 202 STT, chassis number 27102780B, green. Having been in the vendor's possession for over 45 years, this Land Rover has been in constant use and has been maintained as necessary rather than being restored. It has recently received considerable expenditure including the fitting of a replacement Series 3 engine, body repairs and servicing, totalling £3,663.49. The Land Rover will be offered for auction with a history file containing receipts and a hand written account of recent work and a quantity of new and used spares. V5C, MOT to May 2018 See illustrations

A 1961 MG A 1600 Mk 1 coupé, registration number 940 BLU, chassis number GHD 98554, engine number 16GAUH30425, Chariot red. This matching numbers home market MG A coupé was originally manufactured in October 1960 and was registered to its first owner, a Mr Ian Angus McDonald, from London, carrying the registration number 940 BLU and finished in grey. The history file covers all previous ownership with details of restoration and maintenance, including a body off rebuild, which was finished in 1995 when the colour was changed to Chariot red. Also there has been a change of registration, when the car was in the custodianship of a British Army officer based in Germany (XSV 907). The MG has had its original registration re-instated (now non-transferable) by another owner. In the current ownership since 2011, our vendor has concentrated on maintaining and operating the MG to create a reliable and dependable driver. To that end he has had the engine rebuilt by marque specialist Mike Rolls, with a new crankshaft, balance clutch, fast road camshaft, polished and ported MG B 1800 cylinder head, oil cooler, full strip down and rebuild of the brakes and master cylinder, new front shock absorbers, plus other items too numerous to mention, which are all logged in handwritten notes and corresponding receipts. Our vendor says that the MG is a delight to drive with improved performance and reliability. The accompanying history file has documentation from 1973 to the present day, owner's history, receipts, past MOTs, photographs of the rebuild and handwritten notes by previous and the current owner. Now reluctantly for sale to help fund a Healey restoration, this MG A warrants closer inspection by any prospective purchaser. RF60, V5C, ***MOT to April 2019*** See illustrations

A 1974 MG B GT, registration number GMH 67N, chassis number GHD5-348131G, engine number 18VEH-4756, Teal blue. MG's B series of roadster and GT models are one of the mainstays of the classic car hobby, with excellent spares and club support they are both capable of everyday use, a concours entrant or motorsport entry. This desirable chrome bumper GT is one of the last manufactured before the less favoured rubber bumper version came on stream. Finished in an unusual but very attractive shade of Teal blue with a contrasting autumn leaf interior, the MG has some desirable options fitted including a Britax full length sunroof, overdrive gearbox, power steering and electronic ignition. There is one of the most extensive history files this cataloguer has seen for any car let alone an MG B GT which covers expenditure on a rolling restoration between 2009-2013, all previous owners (photocopies of V5s on file), numerous MOTs, receipts, hand books and receipts during the current ownership (June 2016) for approximately £2,500 in maintenance. The MG has formed part of a collection of impeccably maintained classics and is highly recommended for inspection by any prospective purchaser. V5C, ***MOT to April 2019***, tax exempt See illustrations

Los 30

A 1936 MG TA, registration number JV 4917, chassis number TA 0291, engine number MPJM 39011, Teal blue. MG TA was the first of the series of MG sports cars. They would subsequently be a continued development of the sports car through B, C, D and the final F model, and they certainly captured the essence of the British sports car look, earning Britain much needed export funds in the process. This TA has been extensively rebuilt by the previous and current owner. In 2005 the body was fully rebuilt with a new ash frame and re-sprayed in a non original but very attractive Teal blue (receipts and notes on file). In more recent times (2013), the engine has been rebuilt by Colin Groom, with a new crankshaft. The rebuild has its own file of receipts and notes with photographs. There are numerous other receipts of spare parts and works carried out relating to a full and comprehensive rebuild. Now resplendent in Teal blue with tan weather gear and interior, this beautifully rebuilt TA comes to auction with two files of history, the first having receipts and information from 1966 to the present day, and the other covering the engine. The MG is now only for sale due to a recent lack of use and the vendor believing that the MG deserves using more than he can currently justify. RF60 continuation, V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations

A 2002 Dax Rush Cosworth Turbo, registration number E877 JAR, chassis number SA9DAXRU31A038100, engine number HY20360, blue/white. If you have wondered what a super bike acceleration feels like but on four wheels then this Dax is probably as close as you are likely to get. With a turbo charged Cosworth engine producing over 300 bhp driving through a TS five speed gearbox acceleration is electrifying on its way to a theoretical top speed of 164 mph (Sun Power Diagnostic engine read out). This example has covered less than 10,000 miles since being built. Finished in metallic blue with white racing stripes, the black interior is fitted with Willians harnesses, Momo steering wheel and immobiliser. The Dax will be offered for auction with a large history file, with receipts, past MOT's and the aforementioned diagnostic power read out sheet. V5, V5C, MOT to August 2018 See illustrations

Los 32

A 1949 MG TC, unregistered, ***Sequoia cream (not Primrose yellow)***. This charming TC has recently returned from a dry USA state. The MG was the subject of a body off rebuild prior to returning to these shores. The tub was rebuilt with new timber and much attention was lavished on the panels and gaps before the MG was re-sprayed in the most attractive shade of Primrose yellow. The engine has been rebuilt with new pistons and modified with a polished and ported head. The inlet manifold has been modified to match the head with polished ports. All of this attention has created a well-balanced free revving engine which pulls well and shows excellent oil pressure. The interior is trimmed in ***red (not tan)*** leather with a walnut dashboard sporting re-conditioned instruments. There is a full complement of weather gear, the side screens are new, and both the full tonneau and hood are in excellent condition. Unusually for a TC, the windscreen is tinted and the headlights are the original fisheye type. The MG is in the process of being issued an age related number allocated by DVLA, which should be issued by the time of the auction. The vendor advises us that the MG drives well and is thoroughly sorted. V5C to follow, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations

Los 36

A 1933 MG J2 Midget, registration number ALX 603, chassis number J23658, engine number 2585AJ, blue. Following on from the successful M-Type the two seater J2 would establish the classic MG look of Abingdons sports cars into the 1950s. With its deep cut away doors, fold flat windscreen and fixed cycle type wings they epitomised the British sports car look. The new J2 featured the Wolseley derived 847cc overhead camshaft engine coupled to a four speed gearbox installed in a simple chassis frame equipped with 8 inch diameter brakes. By the standards of the day, handling and performance were perceived to be exemplary, and they endowed the MG with an exhilarating top speed of 65 mph. ALX 603 is an extremely original example of the model, having been in the vendor's possession for over 40 years it oozes originality. The body work is finished in light blue and has a delightful patination which cannot be replicated. The interior has an aluminium dashboard with complementary black seating. Our vendor advises us that the original engine has been rebuilt with a Phoenix crankshaft. He further advises that he feels that the MG now needs tidying up but I for one think that the MG should be preserved as much as possible. Coming to the market for the first time in over four decades. ***There is no history file to accompany the car.*** V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations

A 1938 Austin Seven Ruby van, registration number XVV 734, chassis number 282141, green. This light commercial has formed part of a private collection. Originally starting life as a saloon, our vendor has painstakingly recreated the new body into its present van style staying as close to the original design as possible. He has purposely painted and finished the work in such a way as to recreate the impression of a used but well maintained example, just as it would have been in period. The interior has been trimmed in a similar vein, having only a driver's seat and passenger pad cushion as they would have had in period. Our vendor further advises us that the commercial will need some attention in regards the engine as it has a noisy bottom end (probably needs new white metal bearings). With light commercials now being very collectable this recreated van offers the next custodian a rare opportunity. ***There is no history file to accompany the car.***.
