Stuart Turner model No.10 stationary steam engine, with 3-inch single fly wheel, 15cm high, on wooden plinth, together with two other scratch-built examples of similar type (3) Condition: Minor rubbing to header. Very slight corrosion to rim of fly wheel. Not tested or guaranteed, sold as seen. Horizontal engine of heavy gauge with very minor wear. Largest vertical engine in painted tin plate is an amateur-built model, sold as seen. **General condition consistent with age.

The leather is a little tired and worn through the black finish, gilded interior to the cup is a little worn as is some of the decoration. STAIGHT, SKINNER STREET, LONDON to upper margin over base with complex engine-turned mouldings, the whole standing on a rectangular plinth applied with a silver crest modelled as a standing leopard over stepped skirt, 60cm (23.5ins) high; with moulded mahogany base supporting glass dome cover 69cm (27ins) high overall George Staight is recorded on The National Portrait Gallery website resource of 'British Artists Suppliers, 1650-1950' as an ivory cutter and turner, also working in other materials working from 72 Collingwood St, London 1827, 5 East Harding St, Gough Square, 7 East Harding St 1829-1842, 9 Skinner St, Snow Hill 1843-1846, 2 Bull Head Court, Newgate St 1847-1860, 17 Bath St, Newgate St 1861-1866.

Oval shaped 18ct yellow gold box, enamelled translucent royal blue over engine-turned rill pattern surrounded by white opaque enamel waves, the borders enriched with opalescent enamel beads and green enamel leaves. Later mounted enamelled copper plaque on the lid, painted with a music making Baroque couple. Engraved inscription on the inner rim "Du petit Dunkerque". Ca. 78,5 gr. French style prestige marks. Mininimal damages to enamel.

An early nineteenth century brown and white transfer-printed Railway mug c. 1830-40. It is printed with a panoramic wrap-around of a railway engine, titled JACO with its coaches and cargo in a country landscape. It has added colours of green and red. 10 cm tall. (1)Condition: In good overall condition bar small chip to the inside rim.
A group of late eighteenth century blue and white transfer-printed chinoiserie wares, c.1795. To include: a miniature size Boy on a Buffalo pattern teapot and cover, a Boy on a Buffalo jug with and a Willow pattern jug, both with so-called engine turning and C-Scroll handles.
