Single cylinder mounted over the boiler with oiler and drains having associated copper pipework, the open crank with cross-head guides and eccentric driven water pump to side with spoked flywheel, firebox door, ash pan and grate with chimney perch bracket to top of steam valve chest.The model finished in green and black paintwork with red spoked wheels and front axle, polished bright-work and detailed rivet work to firebox.Length 41cm. A gold medal winning ½ size working model of a 1956 ‘Manx Norton’ short-stroke motor cycle engine, built by the late Mr Bill Connor of Maidstone and mounted on wooden plinth 45cm x 22cm. Overall height 37cm.This model won a gold medal at The Model Engineering Exhibition 2008 and The Edgar Westbury Memorial Trophy 2008. The gold medal and certificates are being sold with the model.

A well-engineered model of a Stuart Turner ‘Real’ over-type live steam engine, built from Stuart castings, the over-crank supported on turned columns with split bronze bearings and oiler cups. 18cm spoked flywheel and crank linked to single vertical cylinder via wish-bone type linkage, eccentric driven steam valve from crank. The single cylinder lagged in planked hardwood with drains and steam inlet fitted with displacement oiler and steam control valve. The model finished in red paintwork with polished bright-work. Base 17cm x 14cm. Overall height 41cm.

An early model of a Ransomes Sims and Jefferies ‘Dairy Engine’, built by the late Mr W J Manley of Topsham, Exeter to the design by John Haining. The vertical live steam engine mounted on a ‘pull along’ trolley together with a vertical live steam boiler having water sight-glass, pressure gauge, safety valve and inline displacement oiler. This model was built using Stuart castings and is fitted with an eccentric driven water pump. Trolley 37cm x 20cm excluding wheels. Height to top of chimney 77cm.This model was documented in ‘The Model Engineer’ .

The engine being of side rod design with guides to the top of the engine. The model finished in red, black and polished bright-work set on polished mahogany molded plinth. 20cm x 20cm. Overall height 47cm.The model is built to the Andrew Smith’s design based on a table engine that is reputed to have worked for more than a century at a Bristol colliery.
