Part of a Seninbari with coloured leaping tiger, ‘Brave journey 10,000 miles triumphant return, 80 days of imprisonment. Happy Year’. An interesting grouping. Translations provided by vendor.

Third Reich NSDAP 25 Year Faithful Service Decoration by Paul Meybauer, fine example with the cross retaining nearly all of the frosted silver finish and undamaged black enamel centre to the award. Complete with its original ribbon and housed in red card box with silver tooled ‘25’ to the lid. Interior lid with paper label for maker Paul Meybauer, Berlin.
A Superb Crimean War Group of 4 Medals and Associated Items to a Captain in the 49th (Princess Charlotte of Wales’s) (Hertfordshire) Regiment, Crimea medal with clasps Inkerman and Sebastopol, engraved naming, ”CAPTN G.H. LAMB 49TH REGT”, Turkish Crimea medal, Sardinian type, engraved naming, “CAPTN LAMB 49TH REGT”, France Legion of Honour, 2nd Empire, Knights badge, some enamel damage to arms of the cross, Turkey, Order of Mejidie, 5th Class. Accompanied by period handwritten illuminated statement of Lamb’s services. Fine quality officers regimental shoulder belt plate and bullion embroidered coatee ornament badges, the lot display mounted within a deep glazed frame. George Henry Lamb was gazetted to the 49th Regiment on 15th December 1818 and joined the Regiment on 11th February 1819 at Templemore in Ireland. Gazetted Lieutenant 20th January 1831. He landed at Scurari on 19th April 1854 leaving for Varna on 19th June. He contacted fever on 2nd August and was invalided to Buyukdere on 14th August. He returned to Varna on 12th September and then sailed to join the Regiment in the Crimea on 6th October landing at Balaklava on 9th October. He was present with the Regiment for the whole of the campaign including the Sortie from Sebastopol (26th October), Battle of Inkerman (5th November), Capture of the Rifle Pits (19th April 1855), Assault on the Redan (18th June), Final Assault on the Redan (18th June). He was gazetted as a Captain on 20th December 1854 and left the Crimea with the Regiment 17th June 1856. He was gazetted out of the Regiment on 18th February 1857. Legion of Honour, London Gazette 1st May 1857. Oder of Mejidie, London Gazette 2nd March 1858. Crimea medal and both clasps confirmed on the medal rolls of the 49th Regiment.
WW2 British Mountain Troops Cap, fine near mint un-issued example of the khaki peaked field cap as issued to British troops in Norway and in the mountain ranges of Europe. The cap has WD broad arrow stamp with date letter ‘N’ to the inside. White ink tailors details and date which appears to be 1943 but this is not clear. Accompanied by a WW2 British Red Cross Society female drivers peaked cap with brass and enamel cap badge and patent chinstrap. (2 items)

Housed in its original painted scabbard with single brown leather hanging strap attached. Double edged blade with motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’ and reverse with makers trademark. The blade measures 22cms, overall 36 ½ cms.

Plated mounts with the lower guard being stamped ‘Ns’. Housed in its blackened scabbard with single leather hanging strap. Near mint condition blade which retains much of the original cross graining. Standard motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’ and makers trade mark to the reverse. Blade 22cms, overall 37cms. Some scratches to the scabbard but otherwise a superb example.
Third Reich Reichsnährstand (State Food Production Society) Enamel Building Sign, good example of a white enamel building sign with large central black eagle emblem insignia of the organisation with its motto ‘Blut und Boden’, underneath in black gothic lettering ‘Ortsbauernführer’. Some rusting and enamel loss to the corners, common with original enamel signs as the damage is often caused when they were removed from buildings and taken as souvenirs in 1945 by allied soldiers. Sign measures 34 ½ x 39 ½ cms, rusting to the reverse.

Third Reich NSKOV (Nationalsozialistische Kriegsopferversorgung) Enamel Building Sign, fine large rectangular enamel sign with large emblem of the NSKOV (National Socialist War Victims Care), underneath the insignia of the organisation is in black gothic script ‘National-Sozialistische Kriegsopferversorgung’ and ‘KAMERADSCHAFT GRÜNAU’. Sign produced by C. Robert Dold, Offenburg I.B. Some small areas of enamel loss to the corners and one small section to the edge, but this is common with original enamel signs as the damage is often caused when they were removed from buildings and taken as souvenirs in 1945 by allied soldiers. The sign measures 46 x 68cms.

Third Reich SA (Sturmabteilung) Dress Dagger by Ernst Pack & Sohn, early model SA dress dagger with brown wooden grip having SA device and nickel silver eagle inserted, the SA emblem has lost much of the enamel and just the copper base can be seen. Grip mounts with the lower guard being stamped ‘Ha’. Anodised scabbard with single hanging ring to the top mount. Bottom ball with some denting. Top scabbard mount is missing the fixing screws. Attached to the scabbard is a good three piece leather hanging strap. Standard double edged blade with motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’ and makers trade mark to the reverse. The makers mark has been partially erased. Some wear to the blade but generally still a good example. Blade 22cms, overall 37cms.
Fine 17th / 21st Lancers Hallmarked Silver Spoon, example with the stem in the form of crossed lances with enamel red over white pennons and skull with cross bones emblem to the centre. Lower section with an enamel target and spoon head with relief of a rifle shooting competition. Reverse with hallmarks for Birmingham 1913; hallmarked silver (Birmingham 1905) 21st Empress of India Lancers spoon with regimental emblem to the stem and a fine hallmarked silver 1928 presentation spoon for the 12th Lancers. Scarce German Military Administration Workers in Belgium and France Badge, oval enamel pin back badge with eagle and swastika to the centre, black, white and red enamels with “militar verwaltung Belgien und u Frankreich”. Pin and catch fixing to the reverse and numbered “4239”. Good overall condition.
Victorian Border Regiment Officers Home Service Helmet, blue cloth home service helmet with officers gilt, silver and enamel helmet plate to the centre. Rosette side bosses and linked brass chinstrap. Cruciform spike base with rosette fittings and fluted spike. Tan leather sweatband and red cloth lining. Interior with J B Johnson tailors label behind the plate. Generally good untouched example with the fittings having dark patina.

Third Reich SS (Schutzstaffel) Enlisted Mans Dress Dagger, being a RZM pattern enlisted mans dress dagger with ebony handle having nickel eagle inserted and an enamel SS rune emblem, the later being replaced or repaired at some time. Plated mounts with the lower guard being stamped ‘Ha’, this being on the front which would indicate that the dagger has been apart at some time. Typical later type painted scabbard with damaged ball mount fitting to the lower chape. Attached to the scabbard is an original two part black leather dagger hanger. Double edged blade with motto ‘Meine Ehre heist Treue’. Reverse of the blade with remains of the large RZM trademark. Leather spacer fitted to the base of the blade. The blade measures 22cms, overall 37cms. The dagger would appear to have been taken apart at one time and re-assembled, small hairline crack to the tip area of the blade.
