Painter Charles James Turrell, 1846-1932, both signed with the initials "C.T", and dated "1894". *See: 'A Dictionary of British Miniature painters, volume 2, By Daphne Foskett', plate 375 depicts a miniature of Alexandra, Princess of Wales, later Queen Alexandra, wife of King Edward VII, in an identical frame. Distinguished clientele including Queen Victoria, Princess Mary, the Queen of Norway, Visited the U.S.A in 1867, and painted members of many important families there, including those of J. Pierpont Morgan, Vanderbilt, and Barber.
