A French silver dish,signed Jean SerriŠre, marked for `A H‚brard`, early 20th century, of circular form embossed with scallop shells amidst foliage, 13cm diameter Jean SerriŠre (1893-1968) was born in Nancy, but moved to Paris in order to study the arts, where he later began specialising in silver and dinanderie. By 1919, his silver was mentioned in an exhibition of modern French art reviewed in The Bulletin of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and, indeed, in 1923, the MET purchased a silver cup of his. Also from 1919, he exhibited his works at The H‚brard Gallery, run by Adrien Aurelian H‚brard who also owned the foundry renowned for producing the works of Rembrandt Bugatti. Jean continued to exhibit his pieces throughout the 1920s at the gallery, being given a solo show in 1925. Later in his career, his focused on enamel work.

A silver gilt and enamel egg, by Anthony Elson, London 1979,the silver gilt pedestal egg cup with a cover naturalistically modelled and enamelled as an egg, revealing a `surprise` spring loaded, parcel gilt basket of eggs inside, numbered 56/200, 1.5cm high Anthony Elson (b.1935) trained at Brighton College of Art, before moving on to the Royal College of Art. His first job subsequently was at William Comyns Ltd. Then, in 1966, he took over a company that had produced traditional ecclesiastical designs. There he proceeded to start developing his contemporary designs. Examples of his work are in Salters` Hall, the Inner Temple London and Lincoln Cathedral.

An Austro-Hungarian foiled quartz necklace, with a continuous row of ornate pierced links, each with a cabochon foiled quartz rub set to the centre, with a twisted wire surround, decorated with white enamel to a concealed box clasp. A matching centrepiece and additional links, previously removed, with a maiden holding a gem aloft and articulated pendant drop below CONDITION REPORT: Light surface scratches throughout with minor losses to the enamel.The extra links have more of the original gilding intact.The centrepiece has areas of tarnish, pendant drop deficient. Remnants in the cap suggest the drop may have been lapis lazuli.

The naturalistic moth with niello enamel decorated forewings, the concealed hindwings hinged to reveal recesses, possibly for photographs.
