Cartier, a silver coloured gilt and enamel rectangular basket of flowers, stamped 'Cartier Hand Made Sterling', the woven basket body with a loop handle over, sprouting red, white, blue and yellow flowerheads, green leaves and gilt buds and grasses, 11.5cm (4 1/2in) highCondition Report: Due to the fragile nature of this piece, there is flaking and losses of the enamel throughout on most petals and leaves. The whole piece needs a professional clean and polish to remove a lot of dust and dirt. The dust and dirt has made the enamel appear slightly dull. Some of the stems may need straightening and one stamen is split. The basket has one knock to the base, but otherwise no other dents, although the gilding is rubbed with light surface wear. A mid Victorian and later diamond serpent hinged bangle, the coiled serpent with scrolled foliate blue enamel decoration, the head set with a pear cut diamond estimated to weigh 0.61 carats, to graduated mine cut diamonds and a diamond accented tail, approximately 0.65 carats total, to a later concealed clasp, inner width 5.5cm, 23.9g gross, in a hinged leather box stamped Wartski, 33, Mostyn Street, LlandudnoCondition Report: The blue enamel is largely re enamelled, and has damage. The tongue clasp has been put in where the bangle would have originally has a sprung hinge. The raised claw settings have repairs to the base, there are possible repairs and resetting to the diamonds on the tail. Diamonds bright and lively, colour J-L, clarity SI-I. Although repaired the bangle is well hinged, and the clasp works well, it is still in a wearable condition. Although untested it is in our opinion a higher carat gold.Condition Report Disclaimer
An Art Deco ruby and diamond clip brooch, circa 1930, the pierced rectangular panel with tapered end pavé set with old brilliant cut, eight cut and pear cut diamonds with a scrolled black enamelled branch detail, within a border of shaped cabochon rubies, the gem set panel stamped with a French poincon, the clasp signed Lacloche, 2.8cm long, 11.3g grossCondition Report: The front panel dating to 1930. The clip fitting is in our opinion later, and so the signature is also in our opinion later, however the front panel is the quality of Lacloche and so the signature may be replacing what was originally there. The stamp to the front is a French platinum mark. There is a chip to the black enamel and some lead solder to the point behind the chip, all diamond present and correct, bright and lively, a couple of abraded rubies. There is a clear lacquer covering the bottom part of the face which has a bit of flaking to the outside, and chipped to the nose, no noticeable damage to the actual enamel.
