SCOTTISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE B DIVISION WINNERS GOLD MEDAL 1950, awarded to George Mitchell of Greenock Morton F.C., the obverse with central shield shaped plaque with enamelled lion rampant, above blue enamelled banner inscribed 'Scottish Football League', encircled by blue enamel border inscribed 'Greenock Morton Football Club', the reverse engraved 'B Division, Championship, 1949-50, G Mitchell', 42mm high including bale, in nine carat gold, 11.7g Along with an autographed dinner programme from dinner held to commemorate Morton Football Club's Centenary in 1974 (2) Note: George Mitchell signed for Morton from Gourock Juniors on 5th July 1945 and remained with the club for 6 years, being freed on 30th April 1951. He was normally fielded at right half, but occasionally left half. 20 of his 38 appearances came in Season 1949/50 when Morton were promoted at the first attempt from Division B, having been relegated the previous season. He scored his only goal for Morton during that season v Arbroath at Cappielow on 25th March 1950 in a 3-1 win. Despite the earlier relegation, this was, on paper, a strong side featuring internationalists Jimmy Cowan and Tommy Orr, and star striker Neil Mochan. He was just one of the former players invited to attend the Morton Centenary dinner, and this programme from the evening is autographed by numerous former players.
SCOTTISH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION SCOTTISH CUP GOLD MEDAL 1956/57, awarded to Mr. A.K.B. Clarkson (Director) of Falkirk F.C., the obverse inscribed 'Falkirk Football Club' in blue enamel around a lion rampant, the reverse inscribed 'Scottish Cup Winners 1956-57, Mr. A.K.B Clarkson Director', 39mm high including bale, maker K&S, approximately 12g, in circular plaque mount with easel support Note: This rare medal comes from the second, and most recent time Falkirk lifted the Scottish Cup. During the campaign, The Bairns saw off Berwick Rangers, Aberdeen and Clyde, before facing stiff competition in the form of Raith Rovers in the semi-final. This match ended in a 2-2 draw, and it took a replay before Falkirk progressed to the final to then face a strong Kilmarnock side (who had recently beat Celtic in their concurrent semi-final). The final was scheduled for the 20th April 1957, and was played infront of a crowd of over 80,000 fans at Hampden Park. Whilst Falkirk went 1-0 ahead after converting a spot kick, Kilmarnock drew equal and the game ended gridlocked, thus resulting in a replay four days later. The replay was again a fiercely fought affair, and it took an extra time goal at 101 minutes on the clock for The Bairns to emerge victorious.

RENFREWSHIRE CUP WINNERS MEDAL 1962/63, awarded to J. Lang of St. Mirren F.C., the obverse enamel Renfrewshire coat of arms within a blue border inscribed 'Renfrewshire Football Association', the reverse inscribed 'Won by St. Mirren F.C. 1962-63, J. Lang', 45mm high including bale, maker V&S, in sterling silver, 12.6g Note: First contested in 1878, and last in 2014, the Renfrewshire Cup was a tournament contested by teams in Renfrewshire, most notably St Mirren and Morton, who have won the tournament 55 times and 52 times respectively. This silver medal was awarded for Renfrewshire Cup 1962/63. The final took place in May 1963 with St Mirren and Morton coming head to head across two legs. Whilst Morton won the first leg 1-0, the second leg saw St Mirren snatch victory from the Greenock side, with a 2-0 win on 22 May.

R.C.Hiscock for Hiscock, Appleby & Co Ltd, a 1950's adjustable standard lamp with peach and turquoise enamelled shades and brass shafts CONDITION REPORT: Structurally sound. Currently working. Rusting to base. Some rubbing to brass throughout. Minor knocks to shades. Enamel good for age with no significant losses or wear. Mechanism seems to operate well. Please see the additional images.
An interesting mixed lot, comprising: a vintage Stratton compact bearing enamel plaque inscribed 'MV Empire Windrush'; together with an 'RMS Mauritania' chrome easel back desk calendar, 8.5cm high; a vintage minaudiere; and three old penknives, the blade of one inscribed 'Saynor'. In 1948 The Empire Windrush brought one of the first groups of post-war West Indian immigrants to the UK.
