A set of six silver and enamel backed coffee spoons, Birmingham 1963, cased, also a set of six silver `Apostle` type coffee spoons, London 1956, cased, a set of six silver bean top coffee spoons, Sheffield 1959, cased, a set of five rat tail coffee spoons, Sheffield 1959, a silver christening fork and spoon, London 1913/14, cased, four silver napkin rings and a pair of Scottish oval pierced salts, one a/f, the other with blue glass liner.
A Victorian silver masonic presentation trowel, with spiral ivory handle, the blade inscribed `Presented to Handcross Lodge by Bro. A. E. Reeves founder treasurer 1967, hallmarked for Birmingham 1890, makers J & H. H., 27cm long, together with three accompanying Handcross chapter no 8104, silver gilt and enamel medals, all cased.
A French gilt brass carriage clock, the eight day duration movement having a platform lever escapement and striking the hours & half hours on a gong with push repeat, the white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands and a subsidiary alarm dial, enclosed by a foliate engraved gilt mask, the backplate numbered `753`, contained in a gorge case engraved with foliate decoration, height 17cm.
A walnut `Vienna` regulator, the eight day timepiece movement having maintaining power, dead beat escapement, a wood rod pendulum with a brass bob, a brass cased weight with the two-piece enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, a seconds dial and blued steel decorative hands, the walnut veneered case having ebonised mouldings and turned fluted columns to the trunk with turned finials and a mask head to the pediment, the backplate of the movement stamped with the serial number `31691`, German circa 1880. Height: 129cm.

An historic Rugby League winner`s medal from the inaugural Challenge Cup final season 1896-97 awarded to Mark Shackleton of Batley RLFC, in 15ct. gold & enamel by Fattorini & Sons of Bradford, hallmarked Birmingham 1896, the obverse inscribed LANCASHIRE, CHESHIRE, YORKSHIRE, NORTHERN RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION, CHALLENGE CUP, the reverse inscribed MARK SHACKLETON, FORWARD, on a later chain. The Batley team, known as the `Gallant Youths`, dominated the early history of the Challenge Cup winning the first two competitions in 1897 & 1898 before winning for a third time in 1901. In the first Challenge Cup final Batley defeated St Helens 10-3
Mark Shackleton`s winners medal from the 1897-98 Rugby League Challenge Cup competition, in 15ct.. gold & enamel by Fattorini & Sons of Bradford, the obverse inscribed LANCASHIRE, CHESHIRE, YORKSHIRE, NORTHERN RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION, CHALLENGE CUP, the reverse inscribed MARK SHACKLETON, BATLEY, FORWARD. This medal was awarded at the second Challenge Cup final where the Cup holders Batley won again, this time beating Bradford 7-0
A 9ct. gold & enamel Northern Rugby Union Lancashire League Second Division Championship medal 1898-99 won by T. Kitchin of Millom RLFC, fully engraved with the above details. Millom RLFC are the oldest amateur rugby league club in the world being formed in 1873 and still going strong today fielding a first team in the First Division of the National Conference League. The first season of rugby league in 1895-96 saw all the breakaway clubs play in a single league competition. The addition of new teams and the problems of travelling led to the league being split in two for the following season; the Yorkshire League and the Lancashire League, the latter relating to the medal in this lot. The County arrangement lasted until the 1901-02, when the top clubs from each league resigned and formed a single new competition
