A late 19th century oak library break-front bookcase, large central glazed door flanked by two smaller glazed doors opening to shelves, over four long drawers flanked either side by four smaller drawers, all with brass flush handles, the top of case has original numbered enamel plaques for shelf reference, 229 x 292cm. CONDITION REPORT Wear commensurate with use throughout, bruising to surface, tarnishing to handles, moulding missing on 9 drawers split.
A 20th century walnut-cased combination mantel clock, barometer and thermometer, circular white enamel and gilded brass dials set with Arabic numerals, diameter 8cm, front and base with applied classical and floral motif, brass strap work above four applied brass corner bases, the body being of architectural form, height 23cm. CONDITION REPORT Lacking key, strap work missing to lower right front, thermometer retains mercury, and barometer appears to be in working order.
Brocot & Delettrez; a mid-to-late 19th century boulle work gilded brass mounted mantel clock, the red stained shell ground body inset with foliate scroll decoration throughout, surmounted with cast brass foliate finial and classical bust to front above a white enamel chapter ring set with Roman numerals and Arabic five-minute markers on gilt ground, diameter 11cm, above a pierced foliate grille with central shield-shaped cartouche inscribed 'MW de B' below a crown, with further gilded classical and foliate strap work to sides and base above four cast feet, the eight-day movement to interior signed and numbered 471964 with further impressed silver medal mark, height 42cm. CONDITION REPORT Areas of surface wear to gilding, dirt and scratches to body and glass commensurate with age, some raising to brass inlay to top of clock, with key and pendulum.
A French miniature carriage clock in a George V hallmarked silver, tortoise shell and silver pique case with carrying handle, on bun feet, enamel dial set with Roman numerals, case marked to back 'LF, Dimmier Bros & Co', Charles Dimmier, London 1917, height 7.5cm. CONDITION REPORT Dirty and tarnished, otherwise good condition.
