Selection of British Regimental Cap Badges, various regiments and periods, including Women’s Land Army (with enamel centres), Royal Army Service Corps, ATS, Army Remount Service, Royal Army Veterinary Corps, Military Police, Army Physical Training Corps, Intelligence Corps, plus others. Some duplicates, possibly some re-strikes. (50 items)
WW2 British Made Free Norwegian Forces Officers Peaked Cap, fine officers khaki service dress cap made by famous tailors, Burberry’s. Cap is complete with officers enamel cap badge to the centre. General service side buttons supporting officers brown leather chinstrap. Interior with leather sweatband and oilcloth lining which has tailors label underneath. Some slight chipping to the cap badge but otherwise very good condition. The Free Norwegian forces, also known as the army in exile, served gallantly fighting against the Axis forces during WW2. Many of the Norwegian servicemen were involved with No10 Commando.
Swedish Infantry Officers Pickelhaube Helmet, fine example with silver, gilt and enamel helmet plate to the centre. Silver peak trim, circular spike base with gilt securing stars and silver officers pattern spike. Officers silver scaled leather backed chinstraps and single cloth cockade. Interior of the helmet retains the leather sweatband and cloth lining. Helmet is housed in its original leather storage case. Very good overall condition.
Three Limoges enamelled copper pictures in Mediaeval style, 19th century, one in the manner of work by Julien Robillard, depicting King Henry II of England and Philip Augustus of France beneath a tree, initialled IR (probably spuriously) and indistinctly dated, mounted, framed and glazed, the enamel 16 x 11cm, 30 x 25cm overall, the second depicting Saint Jacinctus in a landscape, initialled IL (probably spuriously), perhaps for Jacques Laudin, in a giltwood frame, the enamel 14 x 11cm, 23 x 23cm overall, and the third depicting Saint Batholomew, mounted within a gilt metal frame, the enamel 8.5 x 7cm, 18 x 12.5cm overall

Mougin, circa 1900, the circular eight-day outside countwheel gong striking movement with Brocot escapement regulated by twin glass mercury capsule pendulum with Brocot type regulation to suspension, the backplate stamped with AD MOUGIN... roundel over numbers 2227, 6 9, the circular cream enamel Arabic numeral dial with concentric floral garland decorated centre and gilt scroll pierced hands within milled bezel, the case with cast standing lion surmount to the shaped complex moulded marble platform superstructure over brass-framed bevel-glazed trapezoid section incorporating doors to front and rear flanked by two pairs of fluted marble columns with festoon decorated gilt capitals, over conforming shaped complex moulded platform base applied with laurel wreath cast apron mount and toupe feet, 56cm (22ins) high; with a pair of twin handled urn side ornaments ensuite each with gilt flambeau finial and laurel swag decorated collar over tall neck and foliate looped side handles, on fluted gilt flared foot over conforming moulded shaped platform base with toupe feet, 46cm (18ins) high, (3)
A French gilt brass carriage clock, retailed by Mappin and Webb, London, early 20th century, the eight-day two train gong striking movement with gilt platform lever escapement and stamped with serial number 9555 to the lower right hand corner of thee backplate, the rectangular white enamel Roman numeral dial with blued steel spade hands and inscribed MAPPIN & WEBB, LONDON, FRENCH, MAKE to lower margin, the bevel-glazed cannelee case with hinged carrying handle, 14.5cm (5.75ins) high excluding handle
A French ormolu mounted white marble mantel timepiece in Louis XVI style, unsigned, circa 1860 and later, now with a circular single train eight-day movement regulated by platform lever escapement, the circular convex white enamel Roman numeral dial with dummy winding hole to the left and fine pierced and engraved gilt brass hands set behind hinged convex glazed cast gilt bezel, the rectangular case with twin-handled gilt foliate draped urn surmount to the entwined leafy scroll inset panel decorated concave-sided upstand, flanked by pineapple finials over egg-and-dart cast cornice and further fine foliate cast and pierced inset infill mounts around the dial and further flanked by free-standing columns entwined with laurel trails, the D-ended plinth base inset with conforming foliate scroll cast panel infill over leaf cast bun feet, 34.5cm (13.5ins) high
