Mixed Chinese ceramics to include; two stoneware tea bowls, footed dish, Japanese Imari plate, two cloisonné enamel cups and saucers etc Condition Report / Extra Information Small yellow bowl - 12cm dia, no apparent faults. Yellow shallow bowl - large break to edge, 20cm dia. Pair small blue and white cups - no apparent faults, 6cm dia. Pair small brown bowls - no apparent faults, 10cm dia. Imari plate - surface scratches, 21.5cm dia. Small blue and white scent bottles - no apparent faults, larger height 6cm. Blue and white jar and cover - no apparent faults, 10cm dia. Cloisonné - small chip to underside edge of saucer, 9.5cm dia, cup height 6cm.
"1st-18th century AD. A mixed group of bronze finger rings comprising: one with elongated plaque, two glass inserts; one with discoid plaque, enamel fill; one with plain elongated plaque; five with discoid plaque, ring-and-dot motifs; one with plano-convex glass insert, claw setting; two with discoid plaque, bifid shoulders; one with discoid plaque, glass inserts; sixteen with discoid plaque, incised linear motif; one with leaf-shaped plaque; one with simple knop, split hoop. 114 grams total, 13-20mm (1/2 - 3/4"). Property of a professional; acquired on the European art market in the 1980s. [30, No Reserve]" Mainly fine condition.
"2nd-9th century AD. A mixed group of bronze items comprising: a discoid stud with concentric rings of polychrome enamel;a lozengiform plaque with enamelled diaper pattern, knop finial; a hexagonal brooch with conical plaque, discoid enamelled stud; an enamelled six-pointed star with central cinquefoil; a discoid enamelled stud with four radiating arms a tongue-shaped strap end with double palmette motif. 22 grams total, 19-35mm (3/4 - 1 1/2"). Property of a Middlesex gentleman; acquired in the 1980s. [6, No Reserve]" Fine condition.
"Later 1st-2nd century AD. A silver trumpet brooch with enamel ornament comprising a discoid headplate with leaf-shaped enamelled cells and thick loop above, trumpet-shaped upper bow with red and black enamelled La Tène style panels, ribbed D-section collar with acanthus-leaf detail above and below, keeled footplate with opposed triangular enamelled cells in red and black, discoid foot with enamel fill and central pellet; catchplate and hinged pin to the reverse; gold wire looped around the bow above the collar. 20 grams, 66mm (2 1/2").
