Possibly made for the Russian aristocracy. Underside undecorated. Signs of wear. Star crack to the inside base not extending to the rim. Dia. 24.2cm.

According to Howard’s Amorial Porcelain Vol. 2, p. 710. The arms are of Samler and date to c. 1795. Dia. 24.5cm.

Unusual Chinese Canton Enamel Decorated Beehive Brush Pot Decorated with eight Buddhist emblems on a pale blue ground, exposed bronze rim and foot rim. With four character Yongxheng (1723-1735) reign mark in blue enamel to underside. Age uncertain but appears similar to one dated 1730. Illustrated in Howard’s Amorial Porcelain, Vol 2, p. 14. Comes with a new well carved wooden display stand. Condition good. Some scratches to base. Dia. 8.2cm.
