A Brass Porcelain Mounted Striking and Repeating Carriage Clock, stamped R&Co for Richard & Co, Paris, circa 1900, carrying handle and repeat button, pink ground porcelain side and back panels depicting winged cherubs and musical instruments with scroll gilt painted frames, pink porcelain dial with a Roman chapter ring and elaborately scroll decorated, twin barrel movement with a silvered platform lever escapement striking on a gong, movement backplate stamped R&Co Made in Paris, inside back door numbered 629, 18cm high over handle see illustration 22.02.17, Case with a minor crack mark to the top right hand side, side columns with minor pitting marks, back door with some small dent marks, brass surfaces are slightly discoloured in parts, porcelain panels with very minor rubbing to the raised enamel dot decoration in the corners, front glass panel with scratches, strike and repeat are functioning but not striking and repeating correctly, both spring barrels are winding correctly, movement in going order, Please note that the porcelain panels are later.

Cretaceous Period, 145-65 million years BP. A large tooth of Bahariasaurus ingens a mid-sized carnivore, from the Tegana Formation of Morocco, with some good serrated edges and nice enamel. 19 grams, 58mm (2 1/4"). From the collection of the paleontologist R Gledhill; collected between 1930 and 1960. As well as being rarer, the teeth are different from Carcharodontosaurus in being thinner but having a thicker, more triangular cross-section. Fine condition.
