National Volunteers brass and enamel pin A brass and green enamel circular lapel badge, by P Quinn, Belfast. Diameter 1in. (2.5cm) The National Volunteers was the name taken by the majority of the Irish Volunteers that sided with Irish Parliamentary Party leader John Redmond after the movement split over the question of the Volunteers' role in World War I.
1952 (1 June). Badge commemorating the erection of a memorial to Sean McNeela at Ballycroy, Co. Mayo. Enamel pin-back badge, legend reads SEAN MAC CONGHAOLA MEMORIAL 1st JUNE 1952. Commemorates Sean McNeela, IRA Director of Publicity, who died on hunger strike in April 1940. Sean 'Jack' McNeela was born in Ballycoy, Co. Mayo. He was imprisoned for two years for operating a pirate radio station for Sinn Fein. In a protest over the sending of a political prisoner to Mountjoy he went on a 55 day hunger strike and died on 19 April 1940.The badge is accompanied by extensive notes from archives.

Early 20th Century Nationalist flag pin. A gilt metal and green enamel pin-back badge in the form of a green flag centred by a Maid-of- Erin harp, by Thomas Fattorini, Bolton 1.25 by 1in. (3.2 by 2.5cm) The Fattorini family ran a number of jewellery and silversmith businesses in Bolton from the late 18th century. Thomas Fattorini Bolton traded as such between 1903 and 1919.
