Dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s. The bar measures 58" (147cm) across. A few small chips to the enamel but generally in very good, ex-use condition. [3 pieces]

A roundel design, likely to date from the 1980s, measuring 24" (60cm) square, 26.5 " (67cm) with the separate aluminium frame. In excellent condition, minor blemishes only. [1]

Thought to be from the former interchange station of that name (closed 1968) where totems were never fitted and these signs were attached to lamp-posts etc instead. c1880s ENAMEL SIGN 'To the East London and Underground Railways' with a typical Victorian-era pointing finger. Thought to have been located at Whitechapel station and therefore could date from the opening of the District Railway station there in 1884. Was obtained by vendor's grandfather who worked for the ELR. Measures 46" x 20" (117cm x 51cm). Some restoration towards the top, some corrosion & small losses at the edges. A remarkable survivor and the oldest Underground sign we have seen at auction. [1]

c1960s City of Westminster enamel STREET SIGN from Oxford Street, W1, London's famous shopping street and home to Selfridges. A fully-flanged sign measuring 35" x 18" (89cm x 46cm) and in good, ex-use condition with a few small chips and signs of a long period in situ. [1]

London Transport bus stop enamel EXTENSION 'BOAT' SIGN for Red Arrow route 500 between Victoria Station and Marble Arch. Believed to date from 1966 when the first Red Arrow route was introduced and features a 6d piece to indicate the fare. All elements of this double-sided sign are enamelled. 'Boat' extensions were fitted below bus stop flags to indicate additional information and are hollow and shaped to the same dimensions as the full flag. Measures 18" x 6" (46cm x 15cm) and is in very good, ex-use condition. [1]

London Transport Central Buses DRIVING INSTRUCTOR'S CAP & BADGE. Cap is size 6 3/4 and is in very good condition, the badge is the early 1960s issue in enamelled chrome with flush upper infill and has a little damage to the enamel. Plus a small quantity of London Transport UNIFORM BUTTONS with the griffin motif, both chrome and plastic types, in good, ex-use condition. [Cap + badge + buttons]

London Transport coach stop enamel E-PLATE for Green Line route 725 destinated Windsor via Kingston. The additional words 'Fare Stage' were removed from the plate by LT for further use. The plate was probably located in the area between Sutton and Worcester Park. In good, ex-use condition. [1]

London Transport enamel BUS & COACH STOP FLAG ('Request'). A single-sided sign in a slightly smaller size than the full flags. These were made to be fixed over the stop flags on wooden bus shelters when the 'denomination' of the stop needed changing and they have screw-holes in the corners for this purpose. They are rather unusual. Measures 16" x 14" (41cm x 36cm). In excellent condition. [1]

London Transport OFFICIAL'S PLATE with id number 179 from the first series of 1934. Made of nickel-sliver with enamel infills, these plates were issued to senior, plain-clothes officials and could be clipped to the breast pocket. The design originated in LGOC days and various versions have continued to be produced up to the present day. In good, ex-use condition with light surface scratches. [1]
