A silver open faced pocket watch, retailed by J.T.Pridden, Keighley, 1875, gilt fusee lever movement signed and numbered 40215, bimetallic split balance, dust cover, enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, London hallmark, 56mm wide 06.04.17, Case with surface scratches, back cover with the engine turning rubbed throughout, ribbed sides are rubbed, back cover edge with a dent, glass with scratches, dial with hairline cracks between 5 & 8 o'clock positions, balance is swinging slowly when fully wound, in going order.
An unusual figural wall mounted aneroid barometer, circa 1900, the maiden figure in robes mounted on an oval wooden wall plaque, 4-inch white enamel dial, aneroid barometer movement, 48cm high 21.04.17, Metal surfaces with pitting marks and discoloured throughout, metal surfaces with signs of gilt metal paint in parts, wooden plaque with chips and re-painted in parts, aneroid movement has not been tested for its working condition.
Four Chinese enamel items, 18th and later, comprising: a blue ground rectangular box and cover, painted with butterflies and flowering buds, 17cm wide; a pink ground cups and saucer, the saucer 12cm diameter; a rectangular casket, 11.5cm wide; and a small circular box and cover, Qianlong four character mark. (4)
Peter Waals (1870-1937) Long case clock macassar ebony mother of pearl and abalone inlay in the form of flower heads, trees and squirrels surrounding a green and cream enamel Roman chapter dial with three train movement 207.5cm high. Provenance: Arthur Mitchell; thence by descent. Literature: see Annette Carruthers, Ernest Gimson and The Cotswold Group of Craftsmen, Leicester Museum Services, pp.4 and 24 for similar decoration.
Bente Bonne (1929-1996) Bowl, 1992 layered coloured glass signed and dated 12cm high, 40.5cm across. Bente Bonne was an important Danish glass engraver, who won numerous awards including the Ole Haslund's Award. She participated in significant exhibitions around the world including The International Exhibition of Glass Craft in Japan and worked on glass enamel pieces for Georg Jensen.
