A paste and enamel brooch, American circa 1930 In the form of a bi-plane with S.St Louis for the Spirit of St Louis, depicting the airplane with enamel pilot representing Charles Lindberg. This brooch was made to commemorate the first solo non-stop flight between new York and Paris undertaken by pilot Charles Lindbergh in the Spirit of St Louis in 1927. 5.5cm long, together with two further paste set brooches one commemorating the coronation of George VI, the other depicting the Feathers of the Prince of Wales. (3)(illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: The Spirit of St Louis brooch has some enamel loss to the tail, otherwise in fair condition with some discolouration to the paste and in need of a clean. A French Louis XV style boulle mantel clock With a 14cm brass dial with blue and white enamel cartouches with Roman numerals against a leafy gilt metal ground, the two train Woppenhein French movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, the foliate engraved brass and red shell mark case, surmounted with a battle figure seated on a sphere, the case supplied with rococo scrolls, the fret pierced sides raised upon winged mask supports, 42cms (illustrated)
A French gilt spelter and enamel mantel clock Signed W.H. Tooke, Paris with a 8.5cm blue and red enamel dial with jeweled roundels enclosing Roman numerals, the two train W.H. Tooke, successor to F L Hausbur, Paris the movement with outside countwheel striking on a saucer bell, the ornate Persian influence case surmounted with a half moon raised upon a blue and gilt sphere, scrolling finials above an urn the drum case flanked by scrolling leaves with gilt and blue roundels, one detached raised upon a hexagonal plinth inset with blue and red enamel panels with pearl style roundels raised upon four winged sea serpents, gilt wood velvet lined plinth, an oval ebonised plinth with a clear glass dome, the clock measures 38cms, overall 49cms including dome, with pendulum and key. Late 19th century red boulle work tortoiseshell mantel clock, white enamel dial and numerals, Aubert Klaftenberger Geneva, with keys. 30 cms tall. Interior label dated 1925 stating 'Repaired by R Churcher Cyril Rd Bournemouth', White enamel damage around winding holes, front glass missing, boulle work in good condition.
