A pair of late 18th / early 19th Century Chinese Kangxi palette vases, near-matching with figural decoration depicting men viewing a scroll with other figures in attendance, bear two concentric rings marks to base, 34 cm high CONDITION REPORTS One vase has a large hairline crack running from the rim down the neck. The other has a smaller hairline fracture running from the rim. Both have some minor losses to the enamel decoration. A Chinese Kang Xi blue and white and polychrome decorated mug, the main panel decorated with figures in a courtyard setting with deer, the handle of blue dragon form 14.5 cm high x 12 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Chips to the rim and some smaller chips to the base. In need of a good clean. Surface scratching and some losses to the enamel and gilt work. Firing flaws, etc and some crazing particularly to the green enamel. A late 19thC French gilt brass cased four glass mantel clock, the circular enamel dial bearing Arabic numerals and painted with rose swags, eight day movement with coil strike, number 3508 4 11, the case of carriage clock form with mercury pendulum and key, 27cm high, 17cm wide, 13.5cm deep.
