A silver gilt pendant by Arthur and Georgie Gaskin, enamelled by Effie Ward, circa 1903, the pierced oval pendant with an enamelled girl wearing a blue dress with and cream pinafore, within a scrolled surround of pink flower heads and green leaves, signed G, the reverse inscribed J V Gaskin 16 St Bernards Rd, Olton W, with a tapered pendant loop, 5.6cm long overall. A freshwater cultured pearl and gem set necklace, composed of 7.5mm slightly baroque freshwater cultured pearls, gathered at the sides with quatrefoil motifs, each quatrefoil centrally set with a cushion shaped garnet within blue and red enamel surrounds with freshwater cultured pearl accents and cabochon peridots at the cardinal points, the quatrefoils stamped ‘750’ with Italian control marks, 93cm long
An Art Deco carved emerald, diamond, jadeite, pearl and lapis lazuli brooch, circa 1925, the top set with a hexagonal emerald carved with a flower head amongst leaves in a baguette and eight cut diamond surmount with a cabochon sapphire top, to a rectangular frame pave set with eight cut diamonds and channel set baguette cut diamond highlights with onyx collars, with an articulated trapeze cut diamond connection to a tassel drop, the drop composed of a 2.2cm oval jadeite cabochon in a rose cut diamond lattice mount with a blue enamel collar, suspending graduated 1.5mm to 2.5mm pearl tassels with lapis lazuli bead terminals, the plate beneath the jadeite indistinctly numbered 1694 with French assay poincons, 10.3cm long overall. Please note the jadeite is untested for colour treatment, and the pearls are untested and unwarranted as natural pearls
Russia: Order of St Stanislaus, 3rd class, VF (the reverse central enamel roundel with approx 1 third missing), in gilt embossed case, together with a “Ministry of Pensions” letter to Lt Cmr A Nicholls. Plate 7 Note: Amos Nicholls RN was awarded the Order of St Stanislaus 3rd Class in 1915 whilst serving on HMS Jupiter which was sent to Archangel as an ice breaker.
An interesting collection of 16 foreign medals, badges, etc, including: Tunis badge of the Order of Nichan Iftikhar, 2nd type, reverse with maker’s tablet of Kretly Paris, of good quality, EF; USA Expo badges: California 1894 Mid Winter International Exposition Commissioner’s badge, gilt cross with white enamel, same Expo Juror’s badge, blue enamel; Tennessee Centennial badge with linked “bars”: “Chief” and “Foreign Dept”; a “Sterling” badge for Judge Columbian Exhibition 1895; a “World’s Columbian Exposition Monaco” badge in gilt with top riband mount “Foreign Commissioner”, reverse named to “A Machie” (paper flags worn); other items name to A Macchi: Cross of the Life Savers of Nord (Mr Macchi), Societe Nationale d’encouragement au Bien” engraved “Prix Offert Par Mr Stephen Liegeard President Decerne a Mr Antoine Macchi 17 Juillet 1910” EF, Belgian Societe Royale & Centrale des Sauveteurs Belges medal (A.
