A rare early 20th century enamel badge for the National Union Of Women’s Suffrage Societies. Made in gilt metal, and enamelled over a pebbled ground using the traditional red, white, and green colours of the society. Tube hinge and C clasp to the reverse side, plus the makers details of ‘Fenwick Birm’. Approximately 2.2cm across. Condition: very good. Perfect enamels, plus working hinge and clasp to rear. 2 tiny black spots of discolouration to the gilt finish on the rear, but these do not detract.

C clasp to the reverse, and marked ‘Sterling Silver’. Plus, a Lee Enfield brooch with enamelled British and French flags, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1914, a Battleship brooch hallmarked for Chester 1914, and a WW2 era submarine brooch, with rollover clasp to the reverse and marked ‘silver’. 4 items. Condition: generally good. All of the brooches are heavily tarnished, but should clean up perfectly well. Each example is complete with a working pin and clasp. There are some minuscule enamel losses to the British flag on on the sword brooch, but this is only noticeable under maginication.

Two 18th century miniature enamel round Bilston patch boxes, circa 1760, one pink ground with the inscription "Keep this for my sake", the other cobalt ground and inscription "Love for Love". Sizes: approx. 2.5cm diam x 1.5cm high each. Condition: pink - slight crazing, feint hairline to inside, Cobalt - crazing and feint hairlines, flaking.

A fine quality WW1 era Royal Naval Air Service sweetheart style brooch. Manufactured in a gilt metal, with an infilled blue and white enamel ground, onto which there is a hand painted R.N.A.S. badge. Tube hinge and C clasp to the reverse side, but no apparent makers marks, nor any precious metal marks. Plus, an interwar period De Havilland company workers badge, dated 1929, marked silver the reverse, and with a button hole fitting. And a mid 20th century model aircraft pilot badge, entitled 'Frog Pilot' to the front in enamel, made in base metal with a pin and C clasp the reverse. Approximately 3.2cm width to the R.N.A.S. badge. Condition: very good. Undamaged enamels to each of the badges, and each with fittings to the reverse.

A scarce WW1 era silver and enameled fighter plane brooch. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1917, with the makers mark for G. Loveridge & Co. Vibrant light green enamel to the wings and fuselage, along with the familiar red enamel targets to the wings. Small fixed propeller to the front. Complete with round hinge and C clasp to the reverse side. Approximately 3.4cm length and 2.9cm width across the wings. Condition: very good. Undamaged enamels to the front, and clear hallmarks to the reverse side. Good working pin and catch.

Condition: generally good. The two fully enamelled RAF brooches have some slight wear to the surface of the enamel, with some tiny areas of the silver below showing through. One of the RFC examples has some tiny losses to the white feather area of the wings (very difficult to see unless under magnification). All the pins and clasps work as they should.

A white metal and enamel Kings Own Scottish Borderers lipstick holder, by Elizabeth Arden, London. Finely enamelled with a dark blue ground, highlighted with a diced band, mimicking that of the regimental headdress. Applied to the enamel is a small white metal representation of the regiments cap badge, featuring the kings crown. Marked with the manufactures name to the underside, but apparently no other hallmarks or other kind of marks (although the piece is tarnished as silver would). Believed to be circa WW2 in date. Approximately 5cm length, and 1.1cm width. Condition: solidly constructed, but some damage to the enamel. There is a chip to the lip, revealing some of the base metal, plus a larger chip to the blue enamel area of the bottom half. The diced band enamel area is undamaged, as is the applied silver badge.

Three WW1 era RFC/RAF sweetheart style brooches. Each brooch depicts an early bi-plane, with one being made in a fine quality gilt metal with enamel, with the words 'still upwards' to the fuselage (makers mark of Kemp Brothers, Union St, Bristol), another in white metal (possibly unmarked silver), with the date 1915 picked out in a rose gold wash, and a silver and enamel piece marked 'Sterling' the reverse, and the makers name of 'TLM' for Thomas Lyster Mott. Approximately 4.5cm length to the largest example. Condition: very good. Each badge has a tube hinge and C clasp to the reverse. Good enamels to the 2 badges, and a good overall shape to all badges.

A scarce WW1 era silver and enamel fighter plane brooch. Marked 'England' and 'Silver' to the reverse side, but no discernable makers mark. The front side has the familiar RAF target roundels to the wings, plus some further blue and red enamel embellishment to the tail area. Rotatable propeller to the front end. Approximately 3.3cm length, and 3.2cm across the wings. Condition: generally good. Some small areas of enamel loss to both wing roundels, which is really only noticeable under magnification. Good working pin and clasp.

A selection of WW1 era sentimental / souvenir brooches. Some with the names of well known towns, such as Ypres, Vimy, and Bapaume. Others show representations of warships, with the names of port town like Brest and Le Havre. Others include a British WW1 tank, a German pickelhaube helmet, a gold plated Royal Artillery Bethune badge, and a nicely enamelled badge showing an injured British soldier wearing his ‘hospital blues’. Some of the brooches have registration marks, but none appear to have makers marks or precious metal marks. 15 examples in total. Condition: good to most pieces. The hospital blues badge has a tiny amount of enamel loss to the cap area of the soldier. The other badges remain in good condition, and all retain their pins and clasps to the reverse side.

Designed in the form of a scroll, the badge is infilled with white, blue, and green enamel. Perfect enamels to the front. A little speckling to the gilt finish on the reverse, but this doesn’t detract.

A 1936 Berlin Olympics enamelled car badge, with 2 lug attachments for affixing to a car dashboard. Featuring a creamy off white stylised representation of the Brandenburg Gate, and the coloured Olympic rings. Gilt brass reverse side, which is maker marked ‘PC’ within a diamond lozenge. Approximately 7.2cm width x 7.5cm height. Plus 2 small 1936 Berlin Olympics, both with creamy off white enamels and the correct style of safety pin clasps to the reverse. One is maker marked ‘Deschler Munchen Ges.Gesch’, and the other one marked ‘W-D Ges.Gesch’. The 2 small badges approximately 3cm across. Condition: generally good. Tiny chip to the enamel on one of the pillars on the Brandenburg Gate, otherwise the enamels are intact.

Two WW1 era German propaganda / patriotic enamel badges. To include: an anti British 'Gott Strafe England 1915' badge, which translates as 'May God Punish England', in gilt metal with enamel infill to the front. No apparent makers mark to the reverse. Plus, an 800 grade silver and enamel badge, featuring the 1914 Iron Cross, possibly a veterans badge for holders of the award. Approximately 2cm wide to each badge. Condition: very good. Both badges retain their pin fittings and catches to the reverse. Enamels intact to each example.

An 18th century heart shaped enamel pill box, Bilston, pale blue ground and the top with a floral border with two doves sitting on hearts, and inscription "Take this for a Kiss", circa 1760-70, approx. 5.5cm x 4.5cm diam x 3cm high. Condition: some small chips and light wear to inside, some nibbles and scuffs to outside.
