A large early 20th Century Satsuma vase profusely decorated with an encrusted scenes of a lady dressed in an enamel and gilt kimono playing a koto stood upon and snarling dragon with leafy trees and blossom branches behind, to the reverse a robed man clutching a string of orange beads and stood upon sea rocks staring at a hidden grotesque devil figure with sea waves beneath, seal mark to base, height 48cm S/D
A French Bronzed and Marble Striking Mantel Clock Garniture, circa 1900, the figural case with white marble base, 3.5inch enamel dial with Arabic numerals, twin barrel movement with outside count wheel striking on a bell, 65cm high, with urn shaped bronzed garniture, 44cm high Case and garniture with some slight rubbing to the bronzed surfaces, gilding faded, top side of the clock case with a leaf which has a crack and appears to have been repaired, the plinths with small chips to the edges, dial is loose and with surface scratches, movement with the going train in working order but the striking train is not working, main spring is slipping. A French Quarter Striking Mantel Clock, signed Hry Marc, Paris, circa 1900, central engraved gilt metal column raised on later wooden base and beneath a glass dome, 3-1/4-inch enamel dial with Roman numerals, twin barrel movement quarter striking onto two top mounted bells, 26cm high Dome and base are later added, square marble plinth with some minor chips, dial with some small dirt marks, movement is not striking correctly at present, appears that one of the small springs has broken at the bottom side of the hammer post, other movement parts look complete. AW140513 No key. Clock comes with pendulum.
A Gilt Metal and Bronzed Striking Mantel Clock, circa 1850, surmounted by a figure leaning, scrollwork base, 3-1/2-inch enamel dial with Roman numerals, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, silk suspension, 34cm high Case with some scratches and fading to the gilded back, both sides of the base with small dents and the left hand side of the base with a small hole, dial with hairline cracks and chips, movement needs cleaning. AW130513 No key, clock comes with pendulum.
A Black Enamelled Bracelet, half hinged and set with a seed pearl to the front; and A Garnet Brooch, as a floral motif within a crescent shaped frame, measures 3.3cm by 3.4cm (2) Reasonable condition. Enamel slightly worn. One stone missing from brooch. Brooch fastens with a pin and hook catch, and features a safety chain. Probably both continental. Bangle stamped `800`. Gross weight 16.2 grams. A Pearl and Blue Enamelled Brooch, the shaped circular brooch with a pearl centre, a border of blue enamel, and an outer border of pearls, measures 1.8cm by 1.7cm Fair condition. Probably converted from something else. Pin and hook catch. No hallmark, nor stamps. Gross weight 3.2 grams. CR made 15th April 2013
An 18 Carat Gold Mourning Ring, black enamelled to read `IN MEMORY OF` and engraved with initials `GW`, inscribed to the inner shank `Alexander Morrison Obt 2nd May 1859`, finger size O; and A Mourning Ring, with a carved hardstone and pearls head, plaited hair to one part of the outer shank, and inscribed to the inner `Alexander Morrison died 2 May 1859 at 59`, finger size J (a.f.) (2) Some damages to the enamel on the first ring and the outer shank of the second. The first is hallmarked `IS`, Birmingham, 1839. The second bears no hallmark. Gross weight 5.4 grams. A Brass Carriage Timepiece, stamped Henri Jacot, circa 1890, with carrying handle, enamel dial with Roman numerals, single barrel movement with platform lever escapement, movement backplate stamped HJ for Henri Jacot, 17cm high over handle, with later travelling case Case with gilding discoloured throughout, right hand side bevelled glass with a small chip to the bottom right hand side, dial with hairline cracks to the top left corner and a chip to the top right hand side corner which is covered by the case, needs cleaning, the original platform with the silvering discoloured and needs re-silvering, movement backplate number 3767, movement backplate wound and the balance is swinging slowly for a short time, needs cleaning, later outer travelling case.
