Condition Report The footrim has a shallow chip at the rear, 1in long. The pewter lid is engraved with an inscription dated 1898/99. The pewter lid is also loose at the attachment to the handle.

Box and cover with multiple stained scratches.Japanese discs - Each tarnished and with some splits and visible residue. Soapstone carving - Areas chipped. Panels - Multiple chips and losses.

A Great Western Railways railway station clock, twin sided, the 30.5cm diameter enamel Roman numeral dial initialed G.W.R, with a secondary 'reverse' or slave enamel dial - 35cm diameter with Roman numerals, in an oak drop dial case, with original plaque 'G.W.R 2281' to the inside,153cm. Provenance: Originally from Borth station on the west coast of Wales. Removed from the station in 1983 where it was situated in the booking office, with the second dial being on the platform. Purchased by the vendors mother in law as a present to her son. Sold with a photograph of the clock in situ. The image of the clock states verso that it was taken on 12th February 1983 in Borth Railway Station Booking Office. CONDITION REPORT: The case appears to have been cleaned throughout. The GWR dial is scratched, some small edge losses and a little grubby. The other dial appears better but has been repainted throughout the circumference etc. The movement is clean. It was working in the vendors home until about a year ago. The hands on the dial may not be original. The GWR number plaque is 5cm x 3.25cm. Borth Station did not become GWR until the early 20th century, therefore, the movement and dial may have later alterations.

Honey Pot - enamel wear to the green of the leaves on the main body, otherwise appears to be in good order. Biscuit Barrel - cover has been into four pieces and crudely repaired, body appears to be in good condition with no obvious chips, cracks or restoration.
