A French Gilt Metal and Porcelain Mounted Striking Mantel Clock, retailed by Rollin, A Paris, circa 1890, case surmounted by a winged cherub holding a bow and arrow, floral swag and scroll borders, blue porcelain cherub and floral decorated panels, enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, movement backplate stamped Rollin A Paris and Japy Freres and numbered 1566, raised upon a gilt wooden and black ebonised bases and beneath a glass dome27cm by 38cmCase gilt surfaces look bright and in good condition, case very slightly discoloured in parts, porcelain panels are clean, dial with minor scratches, gilt wooden base with surfaces rubbed in parts, ebonised base with some veneers missing to the top outer edges, base with ebonised surfaces rubbed in parts, glass dome is clean with no cracks or chips, movement is striking and working. With pendulum. Original pendulum with bob numbered 1566.
A Rare and Early 'Herbert Scott's Design' Electric Mantel Timepiece, circa 1910, bevelled glass case with a mirrored back panel, nickel plated uprights supported on a mahogany base, base with a front door containing two batteries which drive the movement, central pendulum bob with a flat block below a cylinder with engraved regulation scale, pendulum swings forwards and backwards over a pair of coils, 4-3/4-inch enamel dial with Arabic numerals44cm highThis early electromagnetic timepiece was first manufactured/marketed by the Ever Ready Company to a design by Herbert Scott which was patented in 1902. It is thought that only 500 pieces was made until the production stopped in 1912.Bevelled glass panels look clean, glass case with metal edges discoloured, base with some small scratches, dial with one very fine hairline crack from 12 position down to the dial centre, this crack is very difficult to see, movement now driven by two modern 1.5V batteries, movement has not been tested for its working condition.

A CHINESE TURQUOISE GROUND FAMILLE ROSE QUATRE LOBED BOWL, 18/19TH CENTURY. The exterior decorated with grape vines and leaves in relief with squirrels. The interior underglaze blue peony spray to the well, with floral band motif at the rim with red enamel spots and gilding. 15.5cm wide. Good condition with no signs of major damages or repairs. Glaze loss noted to the leaves and grapes around the exterior.
A nineteenth century French marble mantel clock, surmounted by a bronzed spelter figure depicting the Muse of Music, likely Euterpe, with an enamel painted dial, and a Fritz Marti eight day movement, striking on bell, complete with pendulum and key, H-54cm.Condition: This clocks winds and is ticking at the time of cataloguing.
