A 1970's Egyptian Revival scarab bangle by Thomas Fattorni Ltd, the large imitation faience scarab beetle carving, atop the vari shade enamel hinged bangle with foliate and geometric detailing, to the plain yellow metal hinged reverse. Signed 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd., Regent Street, Birmingham', length of inner diameter 6.4cm. Sir. Thomas Andrew Polson (1865-1946) was born in Tuam, County Galway, Ireland, he was educated at Tuam Diocesan School and from there went into business. He was commissioned an officer in the City of London Yeomanry (Rough Riders) and advanced to Major in July 1902. Polson was elected to the House of Commons at a bi-election as an Independent Conservative but was defeated by John Jacob Astor in 1922. He was a successful businessman having been Chairman of Butlins Ltd, Duffield Iron Corporation, Pye Ltd, Rolls Razor Ltd, and Director at a number of firms including Madame Tussaud's and Walker, Goldsmith and Silvermith Ltd.

A good group including an autographed signed menu card, circa 1940, with letter of provenance, original framed press photograph circa 1930, Luton Flying Club enamel lapel badge, together with a group of card mounted, interwar photographs including Hendon Aerial Derby 1919, and correspondence relating to opening & activities of Surrey Flying Club at Croydon Airport circa 1950s (Qty: small packet)NOTESAmy Johnson was guest visitor at the opening of Luton Aerodrome in the late 1930s and remained a loyal supporter of the Flying Club. The signature was obtained during her activities with the Air Transport Auxiliary. The ATA regularly used Haddenham Aerodrome and the nearby Inn. Amy Johnson was staying in the Inn when the signature was obtained.

No 10223, with circular white enamel dial, 50mm in diameter, with Roman numerals and secondary dial in 18ct gold case. Hallmarked for Chester 1821.
