A late 19th century Cantonese charger, decorated with panels of figures, birds and flowers. Diameter 38 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a small firing flaw to the green enamel beneath the red flower to the centre. There is a small 1 cm patch to the rim (+/- 4 o'clock on a clock face) where the wire mount has rubbed and eroded the rim. The faces on the figures are rather faded. The colours are vibrant and bright generally although the ground colours beneath the figures are slightly faded. There is very little evidence of any enamel losses. There is a ground patch to the centre of the underside. The charger appears to be free of any obvious chips or restorations. The gilding around the rim is erased.
A Japanese cloisonne hexagonal vase, Meiji period, decorated with a bird amongst blossoming chrysanthemums and flowers against a midnight black ground, on wood stand. Height including stand 33.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This vase has been drilled through the underside to accommodate an electric cable. There appear to be no major or minor losses to the enamel. There is a cluster of chrysanthemums of which the uppermost is missing +/- 2 mm x 1 mm of cloisonné. Other than that there appear to be no obvious losses or major cracks. The wood stand upon which it sits has a 3 cm x 1 cm slither repair on the rim.
A French satin glass oil lamp, late 19th century, with satin glass and honeycomb moulded shade and reservoir on an alabaster and champleve enamel stem and base. Height excluding chimney 47 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The rim of the chimney has lots of small nibbles. The shade appears to be in good order and free from any obvious faults. The reservoir appears to be in good order and free from any obvious faults. There is a small nick to one top edge of the column platform but this is very minor. The column itself and the cloisonné base all appear to be in good order with no obvious faults.
A 19th century French green glass oil lamp, with wavy frill shade with enamel floral decoration with gilt ribbons above the facet cut reservoir in turn above a polished marble stem with brass capital and square foot. Height excluding chimney 43 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The gilding to the rim of the green glass shade shows signs of rubbing but the majority of it is still there. The enamelling on the shade is still intact. The shade appears to be free from any obvious faults. The interior diameter of the base of the shade is 4 cm. The base of the chimney has a couple of small flea bite chips on the rim. The green glass shade has no obvious post production chips or cracks visible. There are a dozen or so vertical lines on the mount holding directly beneath the green glass reservoir this maybe caused by pliers to loosen this part? The metals are dull in colour but there are no obvious faults visible. The column looks to have a small fingernail size repair patch in the middle however this could be contemporary with the piece.
An early 19th century Regency mahogany and brass inlaid bracket clock, the enamel dial with Roman numerals inscribed Jackson, Brompton, with double fusee movement chiming on a bell, with repeating action, with brass ring handles to the sides above pierced brass grilles and all supported on brass ball feet. Width 29.5 cm, height 44.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The dial has had some attention at some point in its life and there are signs of chips being painted over. There is a 5 cm strip of bare metal just above the letters 1 and 2 which is almost concealed by the brass framing the glass. The mechanism is very clean. The pendulum is held firmly in place by a turned nut. It chimes on a single bell. The rear door has some small slithers of wood missing on the left-hand side. There is no key for the lock. Looking directly at the clock face there is a horizontal crack running from approx. 4 o'clock across to the edge of the clock. Similar at 8 o'clock. There is a patch of varnish discolouration to the right of the hinge and a similar but larger patch of discolouration to the left of the right-hand side grille approximately 11 cm x 2 cm. At the base of this patch there is a diagonal 3 cm fine crack. There are further diagonal cracks around the brass nut that holds the clock movement brackets. The repeating action works. Like most clocks of this age it will have been subject to some wear, tear & repairs in its lifetime. Overall it is a good looking attractive clock.
A large Victorian black slate mantle clock, of architectural form, with inset malachite panels, the enamelled dial with brocot escapement and with eight day movement chiming on a bell. CONDITION REPORT: The clock is 50 cm wide, 42.5 cm high. The movement works when prompted. There is a small chip to the centre of the arch top. There are small nibbles to the left and right scrolls flanking the arch, more so on the left-hand side. There is a further small nick to the left-hand scroll at the base. There are two small chips to the front of the base. The left and right-hand side edges of the base both have small nibbles. The left-hand corner of the base has a small chip. Being black marble, a lot of these chips aren't instantly obvious but do become obvious once you run your finger over them. There is a 4 cm horizontal scratch to the upper right-hand side of the glass. The enamel dial appears to be free from any obvious chips, cracks or restorations. The chips to the case in my opinion are not overly significant but exist all the same.
A Mason's patent ironstone china part dinner service, early 19th century, comprising 14 dinner plates, 4 side plates, 2 large meat plates, 4 rectangular graduated plates, sauce tureen and cover, tureen stand, 2 square bowls and a hydra jug, factory impressed and printed marks, largest meat plate 52 cm wide x 42.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The jug has a rim chip and most of the enamel is missing from the handle. The octagonal stand has rim chips and a hairline crack. The square bowl has chips to the foot rim and the interior decoration is very faded. The small square tureen is in good order. The sauce tureen lid has a 7 cm crack issuing from the spoon aperture. The sauce tureen base is extremely stained on the interior and exterior, it has a fingernail size rim chip and gives of a dull sound when lightly tapped. The sauce boat stand has a 5 cm x 1.5 cm D shape break to the rim which has been glued and there is a further large X shape hairline crack to the underside. The remaining 5 rectangular graduated meat plates are all free from any obvious chips, cracks or restorations and any flaws are purely manufactory flaws. Of the fourteen dinner plates all but one ring out nicely when lightly tapped. One does have a very small 1 cm graze chip to the rim. The dull sounding dish is extremely crazed and stained but with no obvious chips. Of the four small side plates one has been broken in half and glued leaving large hairline cracks and a rim chip, the other plates are in good order however the colouring has drained from them. Other than the faults mentioned this lot is generally in good order, any further faults and loss of colour being commensurate with age.
A Victorian Harrach glass and enamel vase, decorated with a bird amongst leafy branches against a salmon pink ground supported upon three gilt legs with anthemion decoration. Height 30 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The gilding around the rim and the beaded border is partially erased. Each of the four legs has rubbed gilding, more excessively so on the left and right legs. When looking at the front there is a small 2 cm x 4 mm blemish above the right hand leg, this is in the body of the glass. The enamels all appear to be intact and in good order. Looking at the front the anthemion decoration on the central leg looks to be missing some enamel, this has been done in its manufacture. There looks to be a small chip on the extreme left side foot which should be visible from the additional images. The pink ground is not a uniform pink but darker in some patches. There are no signs of any further chips, cracks or restorations.
A New Hall attributed spiral fluted teapot, circa 1800, with hand painted floral spray decoration, a pearl ware bullet shaped teapot with hand painted floral spray decoration (lacking lid), and a 19th century transfer printed teapot depicting a shepherdess with sheep and cattle and a musician reclining against a tree. CONDITION REPORT: One teapot is missing a lid and the spout has two large chips. There are small chips to the enamel floral decoration. The spiral fluted teapot has four firing cracks on the interior rim approximately 5 mm in length. There is a further firing crack on the shoulder where it joins the body approximately 9 cm long. The rim of the teapot has a fine hairline crack which issues 7 cm into the body. There is a further 6 cm hairline crack 3 cm to the left of the previous crack and these two are united by a very fine crack running across the body (approximately 3 cm). The blue and white teapot has a 1.5 cm firing crack to the interior rim of the lid. There are two small chips to the exterior rim edge. The teapot spout has three small chips. The glazing is crazed to the interior. All items are unmarked with no signs of any manufacturers or pattern numbers.
A pair of Victorian cranberry glass vases, decorated with stems and butterflies. Height 18 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The gilding around the rim to both is almost completely erased. There is further gilding around the neck and on both it is partially erased and similarly on the foot rim. Both vases appear to have no obvious chips or cracks or signs of restoration. The enamel decoration appears to be complete and in good order. Both vases ring out nicely when lightly tapped. Both vases have an enamel painted mark on the underside.
A Chinese inverted baluster vase and cover, 20th century, decorated with deer by a river and monkeys beside rock work and a peach tree all underneath a pine tree canopy, with cracked ice neck, diaper shoulder, false gadroons to the base, together with a late 19th century famille verte vase and cover depicting warring figures. 23 cm and 33 cm respectively. CONDITION REPORT: The smaller of the two vases appears to be in good order throughout with no obvious chips, cracks or signs of restoration. The enamel decoration appears to be in good order with no obvious losses. On the taller of the two vases the lid has a small rim chip but is otherwise in good order. The rim of the vase has one small chip and two small glaze chips. The remainder of the vase appears to be in good order throughout with no further obvious chips, cracks or signs of restoration. The enamels all appear to be intact and in good order with no obvious losses.

CONDITION REPORT: Height 12 cm, width 5.5 cm. The watch case operates as it should. The spring lever on the knob opens both sides as it should. The porcelain panels are both in good order with no cracks or repairs. There are some minor blemishes to the paintwork and the odd small paint loss but nothing of any significance. The brass framing is in good condition all round. The fob watch itself is fully wound and is not currently ticking. It all seems to be present. The dial is in good order, the winding crown does not operate and does in fact detach. The outer case is in generally good condition with no significant dents or blemishes but there are some losses to the enamel.
