Mounted on the star, set on a red enamel ground, a gilt laurel wreath with “1941” at the base. Within the wreath, a silvered edged black enamel swastika set on a matt silver ground. Reverse with four open rivets, impressed with oval bearing Klein’s number “134”. complete with lightly tapered pin. Minor service wear. German Third Reich Hitler Youth Pattern Knife by Hartkopf & Co. SolingenA good scarce 1933-38 example, the blade stamped on reverse with dual devil head ‘Hartkopf & Co. Solingen’ logo and etched ’RZM M7/40/37’; ‘Blut und Ehre !’ motto on front. Nickel plated turn up quillon and pommel with two piece black chequered composition slab grip inlaid with red and white enamel HJ swastika diamond. Housed in black painted scabbard with leather belt loop retaining press stud securing strap. VGCIntroduced in 1933 with the motto “Blut und Ehre” on the blade. Motto discontinued in August 1938.

Coldstream Guards Victorian Officer’s “Boer War” Pattern Foreign service helmet.A very good example of the style associated with the Sudan and Boer War. The helmet is of the white doe skin, with seven fold pagri and leather edging. To the crown a gilt metal spike, to the right side a scarlet cut feather hackle. To the front regimental pattern pagri star of a cut silvered Garter Star; mounted on the Star, a pierced Garter on a rich blue enamel ground; within the Garter, the Cross of St.George in red enamel. Fitted with a Guards pattern gilt chin chain with velvet backing The interior is with leather sweatband, with crimson silk edging. Clear ink stamp of Hawkes & Co London and details of a Rankin of Calcutta. Remains in near very good condition.
