A gentleman's Omega wristwatch, the enamel dial with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial Condition report Report by GH Glass in in good condition with some light surface scratches. Similarly case is in good condition with very light surface scratches commensurate with use. The dial is in good condition with no cracks to the enamel and numerals not showing any wear. A carriage clock, with repeat, the 7 cm white enamel dial with Roman numerals and alarm, in a four pillar brass case, with engraved decoration, 16.5 cm high See illustration Condition report Report by GH Dial is in very good condition with no chips or cracks to the enamel. All five glass panels also in good condition with no obvious chips or cracks. Metalwork all also appears original and in good condition with no repairs. Clock appears to be working correctly. Ticks, strikes on it's gong etc. Overall in very good condition. Charterhouse does not guarantee the working condition of any watches or clocks.
A Hutchinson Tyres enamel sign, dark blue on light blue, double sided, some light damage Condition report Report by MW First side There are a couple of chips to the surface of the enamel one below the N in Hutchinson which is approx. half and inch x quarter of an inch. Another above the S in Hutchinson which is about the same size. The overall enamel has good bright colours and would benefit from being polished. Second side Generally the enamel is in better condition with enamel losses to the edges as is usual, There are two small patches which have been retouched in the H but they are only small. Generally the enamel is in good condition and would benefit from being polished but at the time is still bright.
A blue glass box, decorated birds, flowers and foliage in enamel, with gilt metal mounts (a.f.), 18 cm wide Condition report Report by GH Inside rear left of the lid, has a large chip. Long crack starting near the centre of the back of the box and going across the bottom and over to the left hand side and up the left hand face, and there is another crack which goes from the centre of the bottom of the box to the right hand side and up the right hand face, associated chip to the underside of the box. Floral decoration generally good.
A Victorian 18ct gold open faced chronometer pocket watch by James Poole, 33 Spencer St, Goswell Road, London, the 4.4cm white enamel dial signed Chronometer and decorated with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, three quarter plate, diamond end stone, key wound movement, no 2889, the case hallmarked for London 1862. Condition Report: Condition is good and clean. Appears to be in working order. NO key present. CASE: is undented but has surface scratching, inner hallmarks are clear. GLASS: has minor surface scratching. DIAL: Although clean there are two areas of damage to the edge by the 11 and 111. chip to edge of dial at 2 o'clock. Not tested.
A WWI era silver cased Royal Navy open faced deck watch by Yeomans, Coventry, serial number 96520, having signed white enamel dial decorated Roman numerals and broad arrow mark, with subsidiary seconds dial, stem wind, three quarters plate with diamond end stone, the plain case hall marked for Chester 1910. Condition Report: winds and ticks, appears in good working order.
A Chinese famille rose octagonal footed dish, enamelled with two birds on a rock amongst foliage rolling wave decoration to the foot, iron red Yongzheng style mark, d. 19 cm, together with a modern Celadon glazed bowl (2) CONDITION REPORT: Good save some rubbing to the decoration. A late 19th century French brass cased carriage clock with white enamel dial set with Roman numerals inscribed "Haynes & Son, Paris & Cork", height 11cm. CONDITION REPORT: Case tarnished, there is a crack running through the dial and a further 1cm hairline to the dial, glass slightly loose in parts.
