The handle have stress cracks in the metal an a small piece missing to the tip, the sheath has a small section missing to the top where it meets the handle. I believe the grip and sheath are silver.

The clock is stamped 'HL' on the front plate. The case is tarnished and would benefit from being cleaned and regilded. A good quality case with no dents or damage, the glasses are in good undamaged condition. A LATE 19TH CENTURY GRANDE SONNERIE GORGE CASED BRASS REPEATING CARRIAGE CLCOK the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer five minute markers above an alarm dial, signed with retailers signature Must Pere & Fils Horlgers du Rio Turin. Fronting a spring driven eight-day movemnt with striking / silent / full striking lever beneath, striking on two gongs and seperate alarm function, having jewelled balance wheel lever escapement, stamped Drocourt numbered 50406. The brass gorge case with folding handle, bevelled glasses and moulded base - fitted leather carrying case.17.5cm high handle up The clock is in unrestored condition, the case is dirty but no damage, all glass panels are in undamaged condition, no cracks or chips to the dial. The movement is ticking on the original lever escapement, chimes once on the hour but the sequence is out and doesn't repeat. Will require attention.

AN UNUSUAL LATE 19TH CENTURY GILT BRASS GRAND SONNERIE CARRIAGE CLOCK the moulded case with rounded corners and bevelled glass panels enclosing an enamel dial with Roman numerals above a subsidiary alarm dial fronting an eight-day spring driven movement with original compensated lever escapement striking and repeating the quarters on two bells mounted to the underside; the backplate with rear-mounted strike mechanism and petite/grand/silent lever19cm high handle up.The case is in good condition still retaining the gilt finish and all the glass panels are undamaged. The dial has several hairline cracks, no chips. The lever escapement is original and the movement is complete but dirty. It isn't running but the balance wheel isn't damaged and rotates freely, it does strike and should strike on the hour, quarter past, half past and quarter to but we are unable to check because it doesnt run. The repeat button isn't connected to the lever so will need adjusting. We do not guarentee the mechanical parts or timekeeping of the clock.

A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH GORGE CASED QUARTER CHIMING CARRIAGE CLOCK WITH CALENDAR WORK BY HENRI JACOT the brass moulded case inset with bevelled glass panels enclosing an enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute track above three subsidiary dials for days, date and alarm fronting an eight-day repeating movement with alarm striking the quarters on two gongs, with original lever escapement and strike/silent lever under base, makers mark on the backplate17.5cm high handle upThe case is in good condition, with no damage to the glass panels. The little knob on the back door is missing and there is a small hairline crack in the very top right-hand corner but this is not visible unless tilted to look up at the top of the dial. The movement is ticking with the original lever escapement, but only for approx 10 seconds so will need servicing. The clock is repeating the correct hours and quarters but only strikes the hours and quarters when the repeat button is pressed. We do not guarantee mechanical parts or functionality.
