Pair of 1950s/60s London Transport enamel BUS STOP SIGNS, the first a bus & coach compulsory, the second a bus request. Single-sided plates measuring 17.5" x 15.5" (45cm x 39cm) and 15.75" x 14" (40cm x 36cm) respectively. Superb examples in excellent condition with just very minor blemishes. [2]
c1980s London Underground enamel PLATFORM ROUNDEL SIGN from Notting Hill Gate on the Central and Circle/District Lines. Signs from this station are not seen that often. A flanged sign measuring 60cm (23.5") square. A small blemish at the l/h side, otherwise in excellent, ex-use condition. [1]
1950s/60s London Underground enamel PLATFORM FRIEZE PANEL from Shepherd's Bush station on the Central Line. This was one of very few stations (just 3 are known to us) where the bullseyes with the line name were integrated into the main panels. Measures 75" (190cm) x 9" (23cm) and is in very good, ex-use condition with just small blemishes. [1]
Trio of 19th-century London horsebus drivers' and conductors' LICENCE BADGES. Double-sided, enamel badges designed to be hung from the lapel with a leather strap (straps no longer present), they measure 4" (10cm) across and are in very good, ex-use condition. Most unusual survivors, stated by the vendor to have been in the family for at least 60 years. [3]
Selection (5) of RAILWAY ARMBANDS, firstly a brass London Transport Transfer Porter No 33. Never seen at auction before, the style is similar to those of the main-line railways. In very good, ex-use condition, no straps. Comes with four London Underground Look Out enamel armbands, three with straps, and comprising 'U.D.', 'LPTB', 'LTB' and 'LT', all in very good, ex-use condition. [5]
London Underground 1937-39 P-Stock enamel NUMBERPLATE from driving motor car 53247. This car was renumbered from 13247 upon conversion to CP Stock in the mid-1950s and the new number was then painted by LT over the original on the plate. The original number can be discerned underneath. These plates were fitted inside the cars above the interconnecting doors. In very good, ex-car condition. [1]
Full set of 3 London Underground 1973 Tube Stock enamel STOCKNUMBER PLATES from a 3-car unit: 239, 639 and 439, a unit being a driving motor car, trailer and uncoupling, non-driving motor car. These plates were located inside the cars above the inter-communicating doors and were removed when the units were refurbished in the late 1990s. In excellent, ex-use condition. [3]
London Underground Standard Tube Stock enamel CAB DESTINATION PLATE for East Barnet / Hounslow on the Piccadilly Line. The first destination was never shown on the trains as the station was re-named Enfield West by the time it opened in 1933 and is today called Oakwood. Double-sided, reversable, with brass ends. In good, ex- use condition with small enamel losses on both sides. [1]
Selection (6) of London Underground SIGNS relating to escalators (1) and ticket offices (5), four are double-sided. The 'Assistance' sign is enamel, the 'Seasons..' is on card, the 'escalator' is alloy and the others are fibreboard. The largest sign measures 25" x 40" (64cm x 104cm) and the rest are approximately to scale. Generally in very good, ex-use condition. [6]
London Underground enamel PLATFORM SIGN from the former GER/LNER station at Leytonstone on the Central Line. The name bar from a bullseye sign that probably dates from the 1947 transfer of the station to the Underground. In reasonable condition with some enamel chips and a small loss at the lower edge. [1]
1950s/60s London Underground enamel FRIEZE PANEL from Holborn station with integral Piccadilly Line bullseye. With the line colour in the lighter shade of blue later associated with the Victoria Line, we think that this would have been on the Aldwych shuttle platform which closed in 1994. We only know of 3 stations where the frieze panels included the 'bullseye'. Measures 62" x 9" (158cm x 23cm). In excellent, ex-use condition with only minor blemishes. [1]

London Underground Standard Tube Stock enamel CAB DESTINATION PLATE for Denham / Liverpool St on the Central Line. Denham would have been the western terminus under the pre-war plans but the extension to that point was abandoned with the introduction of the Green Belt and the 'Denham' plates were never used. In very good, ex-car condition. [1]
1960s London Underground enamel PLATFORM BULLSEYE SIGN from Blackhorse Road station on the Victoria Line. The sign is likely to date from the opening of the Underground station in 1968. Measures 24" (61cm) square and is generally in very good, ex-use condition with just a couple of small chips to the enamel. [1]
Selection (11) of London Underground SIGNS comprising taxi rank (double-sided), replacement bus services (3 double-sided, identical), Way Out x 2 (one is a souvenir sign), No Smoking x 3, Stand on the Right and Piccadilly Line. Taxi rank and Piccadilly Line are alloy, the bus replacement are fibreboard and the rest are enamel. The largest measures 50cm x 54cm (19.75" x 21.25") and the rest are approximately to scale. All are in very good, ex-use condition. [11]
London Underground platform enamel BULLSEYE SIGN with original brass frame from Woodford, the former GER/LNER station that transferred to the Underground's Central Line in 1947. The sign features the pre-WW2 style black lining out and is likely to date from the 1940s. In 4 parts: bar, semi-circles and frame. Measures 60" x 42" (153cm x 107cm) and is in very good, ex-use condition with just small blemishes and surface scratches. [1]
1930s London Underground 38 Tube Stock or O/P Sub-surface Stock alloy VENTILATOR GRILLE with position for attaching the enamel numberplate. These art deco style grilles were fitted above the inter-connecting doors at each end of the cars. There are a number of suitable enamel number plates also available in this auction. Measures 39" x 4.5" (99cm x 11cm) and is in very good, ex-car condition with original bronze-colour paint. [1]
