An Edwardian silver mounted large cut glass inkwell, the hinged top fitted with a keyless wind pocket watch, with enamel dial, the square glass base with faceted angles and hobnail cut base, by John Grinsell & Sons, Birmingham 1903, (marks worn), 11cm highCondition report: Several small and shallow knocks and dents to the the silver lid, and traces of an old engraved crest. Watch appears to run when wound, though we cannot guarantee it is in working condition. The glass appears to be in good condition, with inner reservoir intact.

French gilt brass mercury mantel clock. The movement by Samuel Marti et Cie, Paris, late 19th century. The eight-day gong striking movement with visible Brocot escapement regulated by twin mercury capsule pendulum. The back plate stamped with S. Marti et Cie Medaille de Bronze in an oval cartouche, nr 4073. The clock having a white enamel face with Roman numeral dial with a shallow centre housing the winding holes. The clock encased by bevel doors and side panels approx 15.5 x 13.5 x 27 h cms, complete with winding key.
