Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by F Herder A.S Solingen, brown wooden grip with metal eagle and enamel SA device inserted. Nickel silver top and lower fittings, lower fitting stamped to the reverse “Wf”. Housed in its original brown painted scabbard with top and lower mounts. Double edged blade with motto, “Alles fur Deutschland” and makers trade mark for F Herder A.S, Solingen to the base. Much of the original finish still remains to the blade. Generally good example
Third Reich SS Enlisted Mans Dress Dagger by Robert Klaas Solingen, black ebony grip with eagle and enamel SS runes devices inserted. Complete with the original top and bottom cross guard. Reverse of the lower cross guard stamped “I”. To the underside of the cross guard is the original owners service number “88535”. Housed in its original scabbard with both top and bottom chapes. Double edged blade with motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue” and makers trade mark to the base of Robert Klaas Solingen. Some surface staining to the blade and wear to the scabbard finish but overall a good untouched example with research potential.

Georgian 14th Regiment of Foot Bell Toped Shako Plate Centre 1829-1844, silver star on which gilt strap inscribed Corunna, Java and Waterloo and surmounted by a laurel wreath. Centre silvered horse of Hannover with roman numerals XIV below set upon a red and green enamel. The centre is mounted onto a heavy cast brass backing plate in the form of a universal backing plate. WW2 Polish 7th Lublin Uhlan Regiment of General Kazimierz Sosnkowski Regimental Breast Badge and Collar Pennon, white metal and enamel screw back breast badge for the Polish 7th Uhlan Regiment with brass makers dish, “S A PICCHIANI & BARLACCHI FIRENZE”. Accompanied by single brass and painted collar pennon with backing plate and brass securing plate. Some enamel damage to the first and small areas of paint loss to the second. (2 items)
WW2 Glider Pilots Insignia, Badge & Flying Log Book Grouping of Sergeant A H Midgley Army Air Corps (A.A.C), Veteran of D-Day and Arnhem Operations, grouping consists of cloth embroidered Glider Pilots tunic wing, silver plastic war economy Army Air Corps cap badge with two blade fittings, sterling silver and enamel brooch badge, Pilots flying log book, 2x photographs of Arnhem interest and 2x modern photographs believed to be of Sergeant Midgley in uniform. The log book begins in 1943 with various training flights in Tiger Moth’s, Magister, Hotspur and Horsa. On 24th April he lists a Night Flying Exercise (Mass Landing) in a Horsa, Glider, indicating training for operation Overlord (D-Day). On 6th June 1944, he and S/Sgt Derry were in Horsa Glider LH559 from Base – France Caen Canal. On 17th September 1944 he was again a 2nd pilot in a Horsa Glider (LH346) sent from base to Arnhem (Loaded). The log book continues with further entries of mostly training and ferrying exercises.

Good condition blue and red enamel centre to the badge and dark patina to the silver star. Two large lug fittings to the reverse. Very good example of a scarce cap badge.
