A French gilt bronze mantel clock, late 19th century, the movement within a rectangular superstructure decorated with swans, flanked by a classically clothed lady reading a book and a circular topped table, on a rectangular plinth applied with flaming touches between ribbon tied wreaths and classical urns, on engine turned feet, the enamel dial with Roman numeral chapter ring, signed Flocard A Paris, the barrel movement with bell strike and count wheel, lacking pendulum, 38cm high
