Five Scandinavian silver-gilt coffee spoons with figural finials modelled as a bearded man in cloak and cowl, stamped 13.1/4L and script initials, probably late 19th century; also four English silver-gilt demi-tasse spoons with seal tops, Birmingham, 1968, each enamelled to bowl with different flowers on oyster white ground, gross weight 106 gm. A portrait miniature of a gentleman with voluminous brown wig and lace neckerchief over armour, circa 1690, the brass frame enamelled to reverse with border of acanthus leaves and central rosette in black and white on turquoise ground, suspension loop to top, 5.7 cm. high.Two chipped areas to enamel on reverse by right edge of frame, one 0.5 cm. and the other just over 1 cm. long, no sign of signature, slight fading around sitter's mouth, some tiny losses to paint on edges of both sides.
